We attended the dental mentor last Sunday. It was a brilliant experience having an opportunity to hear from Dental experts and current students about their experience. We had ab insight of the entry requirements, UCAT tests and grades needed to go to a dentistry school.
The advice and knowledge shared were useful to both the potential student and parent as it helped us to understand what the experience of becoming a dentist would be like.
Friendly and very knowledgeable people . We didnt feel the time as we were very keen to every little information that was given to us directly from mentors and dentistry students.

I just started dental mentor and I…
I just started dental mentor and I joined a 'getting into dentistry conference', then I got kicked out for not having a parent visible, and when my parent was in the camera they didn't even let me in. I think it's good I left, the meeting lasted around 4 hours with a couple breaks, and they hardly covered enough content or skills to make value of your time. If you join, don't bother with meetings, it's free but it's not worth your time I believe.

An Invaluable and Insightful Conference for Aspiring Dentists
I recently attended Dental Mentor’s free Get Into Dentistry virtual conference, and it was genuinely outstanding. The event offered a clear, structured overview of the entire application process — which, for Dentistry or Medicine, can feel overwhelming at the best of times.
The speakers provided excellent insights into both the profession itself and the application journey — covering everything from entry requirements and personal statements to interviews and advice from successful applicants who are now dental students.
As a graduate preparing to pursue Dentistry, this conference clarified key aspects of the application process that I had found confusing and helped ease much of the uncertainty I previously felt. The mentors were engaging, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive, breaking everything down into practical, achievable steps and even making the journey ahead feel genuinely exciting.
I’d highly recommend this conference to anyone considering a future in Dentistry, especially those who feel unsure about where to start. It was truly invaluable — and given that much of the available guidance online tends to be medicine-focused, I particularly appreciated the Dentistry-specific focus. I’m very much looking forward to continuing my journey with Dental Mentor through one of their tiered programmes, which provide comprehensive support through both mentoring and a wide range of online resources throughout the entire application process.

Honestly the whole conference was…
Honestly the whole conference was really helpful. It was greatly structured and gave me insights to dentistry I didn’t know I needed. One thing that I would change would maybe be the length of the breaks? Because Q&A took up every 10 mins break and there were still quite a lot of people who hadn’t gotten an answer to their questions because the time ran out but aside from that, it was incredibly helpful and made me realise that dentistry was what I definitely want to do in the future.

Very useful
The students who had came to tell us about their personal experiences gave very useful advice and I have managed to make many notes on loads of new useful information that I had never known before. Im so glad I joined this conference and am looking forward for more!
