The Bike Project in Hemel Hempstead provides opportunities for DENS clients to learn bike maintenance skills and build their confidence in a supportive environment. Under the supervision of our Bike Project manager, our clients learn to refurbish bikes that have been donated to us, which we then sell to help fund the project. Each participant gets to keep a bike they have worked on. The Bike Project also offers bike repairs and a wide range of bike servicing options

My half-wrecked old bike was made better than new. The whole process – assessment, emails to and fro with me, ordering parts, doing the work – a day and a half. The technician took great pride in his work, and I’m very happy with it.

I've recently used DENS to convert my very ordinary Halfords hybrid bike to an eBike using a Swytch kit, and he was very helpful in sorting out a problem we had with one of the components delivered being faulty.
Suffice to say I now have a fully functioning eBike that makes cycling a lot easier in the rather hilly area of Hertfordshire l live in.
This place is brilliant. Took in my old road bike I hadn't ridden in 10 years in for a service. It was in a bit of a state having sat in a garage for a decade. Brilliant service at DENS, first giving me a no pressure assessment and quotes with different options, and then in the brilliant service they've done. Picked up my bike today and I love it!
Booked in a 2nd bike for a main service - Promptly dealt with, bike taken in and assessed, had feedback with suggestions later in the afternoon via an app (impressed with that!), then parts were ordered and fully completed within a few days. Will be using DENS Bike Project again

Such a great service I needed my bike sorting asap as it’s my only mode of transport. The guy did a service on it and I collected it later that day. He also cleaned the chain free of charge.
