Worst app and customer service. The app was useless and there was an auto renew clause. I canceled the day before it renewed and they charged my credit card already. I requested a refund and they denied me. Absolute disgrace to customer service standards.

Very poor customer experience and disappointing handling of subscriptions.
I signed up in February under a 60% promotional offer for 3 months and was not clearly aware that it would automatically renew. Today on 5th May,I was charged £49.95 for renewal and within minutes, I reinstalled the app, checked my account, and cancelled the subscription immediately.
I have not used the app at all after this renewal or even before because it was useless to begin with.
Despite acting straight away and explaining the situation clearly, Deepstash refused to issue a full refund. Instead, they offered only a partial refund while stating I am “not eligible,” framing it as a goodwill gesture. This is not acceptable charging a customer who hasn’t used the service and then refusing a full refund shows a lack of fairness and accountability.
This experience feels misleading and rigid, with hidden policies being prioritised over basic customer care.
I will now be escalating this matter further.
I strongly recommend others to be extremely cautious with this subscription. Make sure you are fully aware of the auto renewal terms because if you are charged unexpectedly, don’t expect a reasonable resolution.

Horrible app, Really for dummies. Tried to cancel my free 7-day-trial which apparantly failed and got charged for the full year subscription. After trying reclaiming my subsciption fee, they just said looking at my data, they could not find my cancellation. Heared nothing ever since. Deepstash = deeptrash = deepcash. Stay away from it. No value for money

Signed up for a free trial on Deepstash and got hit with a $69.99 charge the same day it ended. I was planning to cancel, but there was no reminder email and the charge went through before I had a fair chance. Even worse, I reached out to support right away and got no response.
The app itself is fine, but the billing practices and lack of customer support completely ruin the experience.

Terrible experience with this app! I tried Deepstash on a whim and immediately found that it did not work with my Android phone. Buttons I was supposed to press to continue overlapped with the button to return to my phone's home screen, and icons overlapped in such a way as to make them unreadable. I reached out to customer support, who asked if I had the most-current version, I did, and they then ignored my multiple requests spanning several weeks now to cancel my subscription and refund my money. I cannot find the "cancel" option on their webpage anywhere! It's been more than a month since I heard from them, and I'm about to get my bank involved to try to pull back the charges. DO NOT GET THIS APP.

The business revolves entirely around predatory and sly subscription tactics with clickbait marketing over having any semblance of a product itself.
I didn't cancel my subscription and was charged the following month. The support was insulting at best, offering a partial refund despite me contacting on the day of billing without having used the service once since purchase.
I was then told 'If you choose not to accept our help...' in an email. This is a shameful business and I advise you to avoid it at all costs.

They don’t give any notice about subscription renewal, I deleted the app and tried to cancel my subscription earlier, though today I’ve been charged with a total of 49.95. I tried contacting them, waiting for a response back currently, though nothing yet, hopefully this can be resolved in some way

Canceled my trial on the 7th day but they still charged me $70. I reached out for a refund but they denied it due to their “policy”. They NEVER send reminders on purpose unlike other subscription services for a reason. Don’t get the app!!!

The process is slightly tricky, HOWEVER when it was unsuccessful trying to get a refund navigating the website and google play store on my own, I e-mailed customer service and they were very responsive. They first offered me a 3 month free pro-trial, but I requested the refund and they immediately sent it. They were courteous and helpful, and I appreciated how quickly they resolved the issue and sent my refund.

Update: termination successful it seems via emails to support. Things you subscribe to should be easy to terminate online with one click.
Still find the content generic an underwhelming.
Still pretends to download an App which is not the case. Still advertises under different brands.

FINAL UPDATE: Following my review and direct contact with the support team, the company has officially processed and completed the full refund. The money is now back in my bank account. I appreciate the resolution of the issue and the responsiveness after my public complaint. Problem solved.

I went to cancel the day my subscription was renewing and they charged me 50 bucks. I've asked for a refund and they will not give me a refund. I do not want the service I already paid $20. To me this is terrible customer service! I need that 50 for my kids.

I feel scammed. This awful company keeps charging me and I have no way of stopping them. I have been charged twice and I have contacted them but they are refusing to refund me a single pound even though I have not used the app ONCE. Not even once. And I'm sure they can see that.

Had a huge payment come out of my bank and thought I was scammed only to find out that an app, which I never used and cancelled any subscription to, charged almost $130 for a years subscription. Trying to find out why this has happened and how to get a refund as this app is pointless and has no real use unless you enjoy reading books from your phone, which apparently no one does judging from the incredibly negative reviews

Refused to honor their 30-day guarantee after I cancelled a brand new purchase 10 minutes in. When I disputed it with my bank, Deepstash outright LIED to the bank, claiming it was a renewal and that they sent me a 7-day notice. My account was created 10 minutes before the charge! Submitting falsified evidence to win a bank dispute is fraud.

Unauthorized charge of €49.95 for Deepstash Pro via Brainstash, Inc. on April 3, 2026, without any subscription or consent. No response from support after multiple contact attempts, while the transaction is already reported as fraud and the card has been blocked.
There are many similar reports online about unexpected charges, difficult cancellation and ignored emails, which matches this experience.
Strongly advise others to avoid this service. Refund requested, still unresolved.
EDIT: I didnt receive any request they claim to have done. Even though they replied to me asking to contact them, which I did instantly, they fail to reply to that message as well. Not surprisingly , I never got answer on e-mail 03/04 and 12/04 to their provided e-mail support.
