I’ve really enjoyed my experience with the agency and, in particular, working with my personal matchmaker, Holly. I’ve been on three lovely dates so far. Although none have been the perfect match for me, Holly has taken the time to understand what I’m looking for and has made thoughtful introductions.
The whole experience feels much more personal and considered than using traditional dating apps. I’m looking forward to meeting more people and would definitely recommend the service.

Very impressed with the service so far. Kerry has gone above and beyond.

UPDATE – 14th September 2026: Dating Options have now replied to this review, confirming that my profile and personal data have been deleted. However, they have also claimed that I had previously agreed to a “passive membership” and accepted three “complimentary matches” after my paid membership ended. This is not my recollection, and I did not accept three complimentary matches. My original review remains below, unchanged.

I cannot believe I am spending my Saturday morning writing this review, but that probably says everything about how angry I am.

Like many other negative reviewers, I was unhappy with the service for reasons that have already been covered. However, this review isn’t about those issues.

To cut a long story short: my membership officially ended on 20 April 2022. Since then, I have been contacted twice by email trying to persuade me to re-join. More seriously, it has now become apparent that, until 8 September this year, they were still retaining my personal data and apparently using my old profile in connection with other members.

The first email after my membership ended arrived on 5 April 2023. A member of the team emailed to wish me a happy birthday and, in the same email, asked whether I would be interested in re-joining. I was offered the opportunity to “Buy Executive at £2,095 – upgrade to the Select level worth £3,495 – top priority over the other levels.”

I found this particularly upsetting, especially as it arrived on my birthday. Nobody wants to be harassed with sales emails like this, and after spending thousands of pounds on a service that did not work for me the first time, why would I want to do it all again?

As this was the first email of its kind, I politely explained that I was not interested and asked not to receive any further emails. I received absolutely no apology or acknowledgement.

When I did not receive a birthday email in 2024, I thought, “Finally, I’ve been taken off their email list.” Unfortunately, I was wrong.

On my birthday in 2025, I received another happy birthday email from the same person.

This time, I sent a much firmer email explaining that this was now the second time and asking her to remove me from the list. Once again, there was no apology.

At that point, I still wasn’t planning to leave a negative review. I considered it poor marketing practice, but nothing more.

Then came this year.

On 7 September, I received an email from another member of the team, which was far more concerning. She sent me details of another client and said:

“My lovely client …has seen your profile and would love to exchange numbers to get to know you. …. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on …’s profile and if you would like to exchange numbers.”

I was completely perplexed.

My membership had ended more than three years earlier. Why was my profile apparently still being shown to another client? Why was my data still being retained? And why was I being contacted as though I were still an active member?

I emailed her back politely asking her to remove me from their system. When I received no response, I followed up the next day with a much firmer email, copying in some of her colleagues:

“I am writing to formally exercise my Right to Erasure under Article 17 of the UK GDPR. You must immediately delete my profile and all associated data from your system, and cease showing my profile to other members. Please confirm in writing within 72 hours that this has been completed.”

This person eventually replied saying that she “completely understood my concern”. To her credit, she did confirm that my profile/data had now been deleted.

However, once again, there was no apology.

The final email is obviously the most serious of the three. Having your old profile apparently shown to another client years after your membership has ended is, in my view, deeply concerning. But all three experiences have left me extremely upset, particularly because at no point did anyone offer a meaningful apology or take responsibility for what had happened.

Receiving unsolicited “happy birthday” emails years after your membership has ended is creepy enough. Receiving an email suggesting that another current client has seen your old profile and wants to exchange numbers is on a completely different level.

I sincerely hope my data really has now been deleted and that this is the last time I ever hear from them.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering using this service to think very carefully before handing over their personal information.

Dating Options is an umbrella company which includes several introductions agencies such as RSVP, Country Partners, Avenues, and The Professional Matchmaker. Obviously it benefits everyone to have a larger membership when you are looking for the right partner.

Being an introductions agency, the suggested introductions are made by your matchmaker. The more people you meet, the better the chances of finding the right person, and this is where I've been lucky as my matchmaker Holly has worked hard at finding potential matches, and has kept those introductions coming regularly throughout my membership. Early on she encouraged me to say 'yes' to the chance to speak with potential partners, and this was good advice because even though the written profiles are much better than those you get on the internet dating sites, there's no substitute for interacting directly. As Holly's had more feedback about the outcome of my meetings, the compatibility of my introductions has increased.

The Dating Options setup means that all the members have passed vetting, which gives some peace of mind. All the ladies I was introduced to were pleasant and polite. I'd recommend Dating Options to people who are tired of swiping through profiles on the internet, and prefer a gentler experience than you get with the online sites.

My experience with Dating Options has been nothing but positive. From the initial communication using a contact form on the company website, to the prompt response and Teams call with one of the consultants.
Kerry was everything I hoped she would be during our conversation: friendly, professional, knowledgeable, thorough and positive. Above all, I finished the call feeling more hopeful than I have felt in a long while about finding a partner as this medium is tailor-made to each client; no 'one size fits' all approach here.
