Almost £200 and for what?
My roller bag also ripped after one use, and they claimed it isn't covered by the warranty. I'm incredibly disappointed with the bag and the customer service - what's the point of paying close to £200 for something that rips before even getting on a flight? Avoid!!!

Brand new roller bag ripped after 1 train ride
Bought a brand new roller bag and the fabric ripped on one of the seams after one train ride. I can’t imagine if I had this bag checked on an airplane. Customer service doesn’t take responsibility, no replacement no fix. Avoid this brand at all costs.
Side pockets break very easily
Side pockets break very easily, even after the two-year warranty. Dakine offers no service and accuses the customer of misuse.
TERRIBLE customer service and products at Dakine
I have been trying to get hold of Dakine in the USA for weeks now. They have not replied to any of my emails or warranty requests. I have TWO bags that have broken at the pulley handle and I have only had them for 3 or so years, thus within the warranty period. Dakine’s customer service is terrible and do not follow through on their promises of having a warranty. I am very disappointed and will not purchase their brand again.
Warning to Customers
Warning to Customers
I purchased a Dakine jacket that fell apart almost immediately after use. When I contacted Dakine, they admitted it was faulty and initially issued me a warranty credit. However, without any notice, they withdrew their offer and cancelled my credit, leaving me with nothing.
This is not just poor service — it’s unethical and illegal under Canadian consumer protection laws, where companies are required to honor warranties and refunds once agreed upon.
Dakine has ignored multiple follow-ups for weeks, showing they don’t stand behind their products or their promises.
If you value quality gear and fair treatment, I strongly recommend buying from another brand.
Fantastic customer service experience
Fantastic customer service experience. I travel extensively around the work and have owned 2 split-roller 110L bags. On a recent trip, the airline baggage handlers completely destroyed both wheels on the bag. I called customer service was treated with kindness, respect and superior customer service. I was actually willing to purchase a replacement set of the wheels (the rest of the bag is fine, very sturdy). One of the customer service reps (Karalyn) told me the warranty would cover either a replacement set of wheels, or a new bag entirely. They have shipped me a new bag !!! You guys knocked it out of the park - Thank You.
Worthless Warranty
I raised a warranty claim after a 365 Roller bag sustained a crack in the framework/stiffening that supports the base of the bag. I was brushed off with an explanation that it had to be caused by a provider of transport and that I should claim elsewhere - despite clarity that the bag was wholly unmarked in all other ways. (There was no damage through air travel - it arose in normal use).
Fortunately the retailer was quick to recognise the fault and provided a refund but if you are relying on Dakine then you will be unlucky - their warranty is wallpaper and they have no intention of providing service to their customers - buy a better product from a better company.
Absolutely no support for their so…
Absolutely no support for their so called “lifetime warranty”
Perhaps their warranty means that it will take a lifetime to respond.
I purchased a roller travel bag in Hawai’i while visiting. At the airport I noticed that some of the stitching had come undone. I have filed two customer warranty claims online with pics and my slip without one reply. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy from them as this is shocking service.
As others have said -- warranty "service" non-existent.
As others have said, forget about warranty. You might get a reply every month or two that is in no way helpful, a clear effort to kick the can. I'm writing this review only because I found these crap Dakine gloves as I was cleaning out stuff kiddos outgrew.
These gloves, since day one, were defective. Both my kids got a pair in different sizes, and both kids complained they could never get their pinky finger into the things. Emailed Dakine and, like I said, some back and forth weeks and months between emails, and then no reply at all. Given the time it was taking, in winter, I bought them new gloves from another brand.
Today they went in the bin. They looked perfectly new but my kids hated them, for good reason.
Why on earth would I buy from Dakine again if they don't acknowledge / remedy problems?
Buyer beware.
A lifetime warranty that means nothing…
A lifetime warranty that means nothing because they don't reply to any communication. My ski gloves fell to pieces on the first day from new but Dakine did not respond to my emails to Customer Services. I've used Dakine for over 20 years but I'll not buy any more.
They claim to have a lifetime warranty…
They claim to have a lifetime warranty but then don’t respond to claims. Worst service ever.
Warranty is worthless
Warranty not worth the while as they simply do not respond to your email. Filled out their online warranty form 1 year ago and have heard nothing back.
I have had a problem with both wheels on their duffle bag. As. Both wheels have gone suggests a poor designed as ball bearings have fallen out on both wheels.
In the end I have given up and tried to replace the bearings myself. I have managed to replace one of the wheels but cannot get the other one off so the duffle bag is completely useless to me. What a waste of money and these bags are not cheap.
If Dakine is listening, please contact me.
Terrible warranty service
Terrible warranty service. Bought some reasonably good ski gloves which split on first use. Made warranty claim in May 2023 - after some initial follow-up with pics etc have never heard from them again despite many follow-up emails from me.
Warranty enquiry number 343485.
Not sure why the negative reviews
I've been a Dakine Customer for over a decade. I have a Dakine pack that I still own to this date from 2011. I have travelled internationally with it 3x in Europe and twice in Asia. I have never brought it in for any repairs and the pack still runs like a champ to date 👍.
My recent experience with Dakine was purchasing an outerwear on a smaller size. I received the item, tried it on. I realized I made a mistake with ordering a size M, when it should have been a size L.
I reached out to Dakine over the phone, was advised to go through online return process, which I did. I followed the instructions and got my exchange request completed. I printed the return label, dropped off the package @ UPS the following day.
The week after, Voila! I received my replacement.
Dakine has great products and will continue to be their customer.
Missing shipment
Ordered a pair of mitts 8 days ago, was charged right away including for shipping. They sent an Email that it was shipped with a FEDEX tracking number that does not exist. On their website it states that the order was fulfilled. No clue where the order went and you can only contact the company during very restrictive office hours at long distance cost. Would not recommend ordering from them from Canada at least.
$11 shipping to you. $10 return shipping.
$11 shipping to you, $10 for return shipping. Never again! What a rip off!

bought a wetsuit started to flush at hood , a couple of emails with no resolution. will not purchase anything from this company again.
SUP leash disintegrated…
SUP leash disintegrated after minimal river only use, leaving me unattached to the board and vulnerable. Whilst i recognise warranty period had lapsed, customer team failed to recognise the safety issues and poor quality control of their kit; then told me that there was nothing they could do. I will not be buying any kit from Dakine going forward and will be advising the SUP community to do the same. Poor show!
Dakine ignores warranty claims
Dakine is ignoring warranty claims by not replying to any warranty related emails. The same goes for the Dakine nordic supplier Dayone, and regardless of which communication channel is used. I've attempted to get hold of Dakine for 4 months at this point. Will never buy a Dakine product again unless this is resolved shortly.
