Comenity Bank and Victoria Secret

I left a review for Victoria Secret yesterday. This is a continuation to thus review. You see, VS hired Comenity Bank to handle their credit customers. So, anything Comenity Bank does is a reflection on VS. I had to contact Comenity through my credit account in order to communicate with anyone. Comenity does not offer customer service as most do. They screen their calls and hang up when you try to speak to someone.
Anyway, I sent a message with my concerns. I explained that I was a customer for 30 years, that I had never had a late payment and that I never received the electronic invoice. They responded with cancelation of my credit card and a condescending message. N. Maya stated that she did check my account(s) with Comenity. She claimed that I had an account closed due to a write off or an extremely past due amount. THAT IS A LIE AND IS DEFAMATION! I can prove that what Ms. Maya stated was a complete lie and I have proof that she said it. Not that I had accounts with Comenity Bank, that did happen. However, one was from over 6 years ago and the other 13. They were canceled due to "no use".
I will never do business with Comenity Bank again or with anyone that uses this bank!!! Beware!

Their Support Are Bots

Before filling out a credit card, ensure it is not managed by Comenity Bank, also called Bread Financial. They have a list of issues; one is that they do not know if they perform a limit increase on an account, whether it will be a hard or soft inquiry. I have asked my other credit card providers, Synchrony and Capital One, and they know the answer immediately.

The second issue is that they will create a separate website and log in for each credit card you have with them. Others will combine the logins with one website and one account.

The third issue is their support agents are bots. When you try to ask a logical question, they copy and paste a response and will do this repeatedly even after the conversation has progressed. A notable example is that they asked me to contact Equifax to decide if Comenity will make a soft or hard inquiry for a Limit Increase Request. I contacted Equifax, and they said I would need to contact Comenity; there is no way for them (Equifax) to know how Comenity limit increase applications work. I informed the Comenity agent about this, and they copy paste the same thing, asking me to contact Equifax.

Don’t do it.

They kept sending application to apply for the Ulta Card . The people at Ulta even mentioned to sign up . Anyone that signs up for a card should check reviews . Comenity has so many horrendous reviews . Even the bank attached to Target Circle Card . Stick to your regular credit card . Store credit cards have the shadiest reviews .

THIEVES! AAA Visa Comenity - Bread Financial

DO NOT USE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF!

All banks suck - this one just sucks even harder. Double-billed me for interest charges and refused to refund the bogus interest charges.

Website sucks. No way to lodge a dispute on their website. Have to call in and end up speaking with reps from Indian whose accents are so heavy, you can't make out anything they say to you.

Stop doing business with these criminals if you don't want to be robbed,

Temporary Authorization Locked Card Without Notification.

Used this card for a couple years and had no major problems. Then, I had a site decline the card despite using it there before without issue. I thought it was just bad luck. A couple weeks later, it happened again on a different website that also previously used the card without issue. That's when I realized something bad happened.

After spending an entire hour on the phone, I finially get things cleared up. They locked my card due to a temporary authorization! AKA, those little transactions things like self serve machines use to verify your account is real.

UPDATE:
I messaged their fraud department and asked how a temporary authorization triggered this and why I wasn't notified. They totally avoided the first question, but they stated that their policy is to not notify people when their accounts get locked.

Wow! horrible service! Dont do it! If your card company gives your account to Comenity, your in trouble!

Wow! AAA travel must have sold our accounts to these people and we are suffering from the transaction. I will not use this AAA card for travel anymore. I have had problems logging into my account and unable to for the whole month of November 2024. Customer service is a bunch of people they hired to take phone calls from home to save money on overhead cost. Their higher up staff, that they call "supervisors" are just other people at their house taking calls as well. There is no technical person to help or anything! Customer service told me that " we did all we can do". I am still unable to see my transactions because I am unable to login.

Their website is TERRIBLE!!

The website is TERRIBLE!!! FRUSTRATING!! I have been unable to access the 2 accounts I have. I have written to both to complain about this company. The customer support was not helpful either. I was told I have to wait 10 days for any changes to take effect? 10 days? I did their survey and voiced my frustration. Until they FIX their web login, I do not recommend d.comenity.net site!!! for any business, who wishes to have customers.

My frustration with a bank that will NOT provide me information on my "Account."

I have AAA, so applied for their Visa card. Probably in July. They sent a beginning statement for $241, which I paid by check on August13.
Never received another statement for the next month. Kept waiting for statement, never received. I called, they said it was probably my mail carrier. Confirmed my correct address. Waited some more, never received Statement. Recd call from Utah asking where my payment was for STATEMENT #2. Told service rep. that I was waiting for statement, and didn't even know where to send the payment, because by then I received THIRD Statement. The balance was high because I had not received SECOND statement. I'm 92 and my caretaker uses the card. I Want to see what they charged. I wanted to see the SECOND statement, which I have never gotten. They had my email address, but I received NOTHING from them by email. I was told to go online and I could find the charges. I tried to go online, could not get in, so was told the balance for Statement #THREE was due, which was quite a lot. I was locked out of their website re. online statement for TEN DAYS, so they said. I was told I could pay $100 a month. I pay my balance every month. Not interested in $100 a month which was suggested several times. I sent the very large payment, including LATE CHARGE and INTEREST on THIRD statement, which I received. The charges were close to $100. I Called a couple of days later. STILL NO STATEMENT #2, which I asked for several times. They gave me only the balance. I notice that some of the comments on this site, Trust Pilot, that Comenity bank tends to favor the people who pay $100 a month. Comenity has not yet provided me STATEMENT #2 YET. (From August), nor can I access the website. I received NO email or ANY INDICATION that they are going to provide this statement that they want me to pay for. A total blockade. OK, I sent the money. They say they have not received yet (10-3-24. I want to see what they are BILLING ME FOR, and they are bending over backwards not to supply me the STATEMENT. No email. No call, except wanting payment for STATEMENT #3. I tried to complain and got nowhere. They lock you out of the online site, for ten days, so they say. I am very, very disgusted and angry about the fact that I have never, to date, received the STATEMENT I am being billed for, charged late charges and interest for. It's like try to enter throught a brick wall to get the information I NEED and WANT. This was from AUGUST, due in September. it is now OCTOBER and NO STATEMENT. What's going on with these people. I have a good credit rating...I pay my bills, and on time. I am an unhappy camper about the treatment I have been given. I was promised STATEMENT #2. I have YET to see it.

Predatory Lenders

They lied about the amount of time I had to pay my balance, then charged me $1900 in interest (on $1600) in 6 weeks. The service rep refused to remove the charges and hung up on me

This bank is so unprofessional I paid…

This bank is so unprofessional I paid my account in full. they said it was late an hour, so they charge me a late fee and didn't even notify me, so they kept charging me late fee on top of late fee with interest and every time I call, I get someone that barley speaks clear English. I have been a long time customer if you see I paid my balance off they right thing to do is call the customer and say hey you paid you balance an hour late and you have been charge a late fee of 44 dollars, but no this company doesn't value there customers they rather bank off of them but guess what I am not a customer no more, if you think about getting a card or an account from this place DONT TURN AROUND THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTEST THAT ONLY CARE ABOUT THERE POCKETS AND NOT THERE CUSTOMERS

DON'T Get Any Credit Cards Here

Hot Topic credit card is not worth the hassle. I've been trying for months to get my account unfrozen when it shouldn't have been frozen in the first place; the account has had a $0 balance since October 2023. I had to go between customer service with Hot Topic and Comenity numerous times before they finally transferred me to someone who said I had to send in a letter to get the account unfrozen that could take up to 30 business days and then they hung up on me. Absolutely terrible customer service. If this wouldn't affect my credit score to close this account, I would. Save yourself the stress and DON'T get this credit card.

HORRIBLE Bank and HORRIBLE Customer Service! I have my Ulta Beauty Rewards credit card through them and they ONLY post your payment based on Eastern Standard Time! I live in LA, so when I send my payment online...it is late! When I call to ask for a credit of my late fee, I'm told I need to post my payment by EST and was hung up on by Supervisor Ben #692934. Highly flawed web portal

Highly flawed web portal, insufficient customer service - avoid!!!
Go to this bank through B&H Photo Video's Payboo Card Option. The only B&H interaction I've come to regret.
first Comenity web-portal was "unavailable" when attempting to register my card. When it was finally back up I was unable to link my checking account.
While B&H immediately responded when I reached out about the problems with their card provider, Comenity did NOTHING thus far.
I am giving them one star because the option for zero is not available

Financial Losses and Collaboration Concerns: My Struggles with Stripe and Comenity Bank

I would like to share my unfortunate experience with Stripe, which has resulted in substantial financial losses exceeding $22,000. This ordeal has had a profound impact on both my personal life and the viability of my small business. It is my belief that this situation has arisen through a questionable collaboration with Comenity Bank. I am writing this review not only to document my own grievances but also to extend a call to action to others who may find themselves in a similar predicament.

My interaction with Stripe has regrettably proven to be detrimental, as I have incurred significant financial hardships. The losses I have suffered have far-reaching consequences, both personally and in terms of my business's financial stability. This experience has underscored the need for transparency and accountability in financial transactions, particularly when they involve partnerships with financial institutions such as Comenity Bank.

I am of the firm conviction that I am not alone in facing these challenges. To this end, I invite individuals who have encountered similar issues with Stripe and Comenity Bank to reach out to me. By collectively sharing our experiences and grievances, we can initiate a concerted effort to address these concerns and seek appropriate redress. It is essential to recognize that the more voices that come together to report instances of abuse, the stronger our collective position becomes in advocating for fairness and accountability.

In conclusion, my intention in sharing this review is to shed light on the challenges I have faced with Stripe and Comenity Bank, as well as to serve as a catalyst for collective action. I believe that by uniting in our efforts to bring these issues to light, we can effect positive change and hold accountable those responsible for any unjust practices. Your support and collaboration in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Fraud at its best! Close your account without notice even if you have a zero balance. Bringing down your score. This is complete sabotage. I am looking for the day when there will be a class action against this company, Cards associated Venus and others.
