UNPROFESSIONAL
UNPROFESSIONAL. AVOID. Ordered bike online because it was a good price and they will build the bike. Heard nothing. Sent email to customer service. Next day I received an email saying they had cancelled order because there was no response to multiple voicemail messages - which was a lie, there was only one voicemail message left on the same day they sent an email saying the order has been cancelled. Now bike is out of stock. Shocking behaviour. Will not deal with again and would recommend you avoid this company.
What an ignorant attitude
I predict this company will be out of business soon. I bought a KTM Macina Joy Electric Bike and needed to secure a company who would service the bike when it was needed. [I was told that Cycle Republic was the official KTM agent]
I intend to buy several bikes of the same make for the use by my employees [5 in all]; however when I visited the Norwich branch, they wouldn't even discuss the service of my original bike because I didn't but it from them. What fools they are!
Would the car maintenance trade possibly exist with arrogant attitude?
Be assured, I will never buy anything from this store again. I got a total different attitude from Pedal Revolution who now will maintain my electric bikes in future.
Cycle republic Mortimer street London…

Very Bad Customer Service
It's the third time I order the same bike now. I have done it twice in the Battersea shop and once on-line. In the first two instances I never received a call back and when I called them to check if my bike was ready they told me, for some reason, that my order had arrived but was then sold to someone else. As for the order online, I have not received any confirmation via email, fortunately I had taken a screenshot with the order number, have called their customer service, they promised to send me a confirmation (which never arrived) and told me to call the shop again to arrange delivery. Need to use these guys due to the Cycle2Work scheme, so far a terrible experience...

Totally incompetent delivery service, gave up waiting and requesting a full refund.
Bloomsbury branch
Recently bought a 8.6 Boardman hybrid. I first went to the Bloomsbury branch, where I was looked after by Rob and Angus. Both were very knowledgeable and helpful. They didn’t have the bike I wanted on hand and I was in a dire rush. So they rang round and managed to find one at the Margret street store. Thanks for going the extra mile
Cycle Republic is my go to cycle shop now
I do not quite understand how this page has so few stars overall - I have taken my bike into the Fenchurch St. Branch two days ago, going for a Gold Service. The guys talked me down to a Bronze and a chain replacement.
Once I got the bike back, I feel like I got a brand new bike - everything from the work done to the cleaning of it has been done with absolute care and patience.
Hats off Cycle Republic. Will be coming back and recommending to everyone I know.
Absolutely fantastic staff and shop
Absolutely fantastic staff and shop - Cycle Republic Manchester. Went in requiring a new inner tube, they kindly lent me equipment to use, and even after my cack handed attempt resulted in a blown inner tube - Matt/Luke bike mechanics took it upon themselves (without me asking) to both replace and fit a new inner tube. Cycled all my life, been to many bike shops but without doubt the guys here were went above and beyond what was expected, and all with a smile. Can;'t rate them highly enough. Nav
Careless or dangerous bike build
Bought a £400 bike via website. The bike was badly built, in particular the gears. The bike has 27 gears, but the gears had been so badly aligned that only 16 of them were actually accessible on first trying. I expect to fine tune the gears, but this was far more than fine tuning. On first riding it I changed to the lowest gear not realising that the gears were very badly mis-aligned. As soon as I changed gear the gear mechanism took the chain way off the gear wheels, jamming the chain and throwing me off the bike down a grass embankment. When I looked at the gears in detail, the front gear mechanism was struggling to get the chain from the smallest gear wheel. Place the gear at 3 and it struggled to move the chain from 1 to 2. Place the gear in 2 and it moved it just beyond 1, but the chain picked up the first gear, whilst rubbing against the chain mechanism. Place it in 1 and the gear chain mechanism placed the chain into a position where it would always immediately jam. The rear gears were much the same. Chain jamming in both the highest and lowest gears. The fact that the gears did this can only mean that the bike was built without any care such that it was dangerous.
Gtech eScent - No spare batteries available.
Recently purchased the GTECH eScent mountain bike. It arrived with a faulty battery. I have been told that no replacement or spare batteries are available. Very poor customer service.
excellent customer service
Bought an Orbea Gain D30from the Glasgow Bothwell St branch. Jared, the manager and the rest of his team were very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. They advised me to bring the bike after six weeks to check for any minor adjustments due to components bedding in. They also explained proper use of the gears to prevent cross chaining. All in all truly great customer service.
Brilliant service received from Cycle…
Brilliant service received from Cycle Republic on Colmore Row in Birmingham. All of the staff are friendly, they all seem to know exactly what they are talking about and provided great service when I needed my gears tuned.
Will definitely take my bike in whenever I have any need any work doing.
Highly recommended them.
Utterly brilliant
Utterly brilliant. They spent a lot of time and effort trying to figure out why I was having an issue on my wheel which had been caused by another bike shop seemingly fitting a new tire which had an issue. After a good few days of exploring different options, and a few popped tires along the way, they gave it back to me fixed with no charge. amazing customer service in this day and age.

I use the Fenchurch St branch and they have been excellent on all occasions, most recently sorting out a buckled wheel. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, I highly recommend them.
Terribad experience buying a helmet
Terribad experience buying a helmet. Flagrant attempts to upsell to the most expensive one they had using fear based pressure techniques. Chose a helmet for £35 - when I got to the till it was £45 and I was told to take or leave it.
Will never set foot in there again.
Clueless and unable to deliver
One star is an exaggeration but that is as low as I can go. I ordered some chain cleaner to be sent to store. Nine days later I still have no delivery notification as promised. I went into store and they say they have not received it. The email customer support team have not responded and the Twitter team insist it went to store and have now gone silent. In the meantime Cycle Republic have my money and I have no goods. All that remains is to ask my credit card company to get a refund. Avoid like the plague. It was my first and will be my last order.
Made an order to collect in store
Made an order to collect in store. Had to wait well over a week to receive pick up order confirmation email. Went to store and had the bad news that the order finally got lost. Very messy delivery and customer service. Store (Bloomsbury) was a mess too so now understand why this things happen -very disappointed!
Beware buying GTech bikes from Cycle…
Beware buying GTech bikes from Cycle Republic!
I bought two GTech electric cycles from the Cheltenham branch. All was fine initially until after about a year of light usage it was noticed that the batteries were failing to accept a full charge and would max out at about 70-80% full. As they were still covered under warranty and were demonstrably defective I was confident of a speedy resolution to the problem. How wrong could I be? After a visit to the store in Cheltenham (an 80 mile round trip) and a discussion with an assistant there agreed that the batteries weren't charging! He contacted his head office and assured me they would be in touch. After two and a half months I gave up and contacted GTech themselves They appear to have abdicated all responsibility to Cycle Republic nowadays and refused to discuss the problem, instead they gave me a number for 'Customer Care' (total misnomer) When I eventually got through I spoke with someone who was palpably disinterested who said someone would get back to me (no one did!) I contacted GTech again on their Facebook page, again nothing. We are talking a total purchase if well over £2000 yet this is how they treat their customers?
Bike arrived in kit form
Bike arrived in kit form. I am not great with assembly so I eventually had to ask a mobile bike technician to help with assembly and checking for road. I was out to work on my bike today and found that it ran well and gear changes were smooth with the handlebar arrangement. Very happy overall. I have told my colleagues about my experience and recommended you.
Wheely annoying..
I ordered a bike that was delivered in shocking fashion by Parcelfarce (don't get me started on their shambolic, rude delivery man masquerading as an actual delivery man!)
He had demanded to know if my partner was going to help him carry the bike.
She wasn't because she's doesn't respond well to demands (trust me) and two, she's not a delivery driver working for Parcelfarce.
The packaging had been ripped open with holes as if it had been kicked, the bike had actually left the packaging at one point (Cry Sweet Freedom), dropped and shoved back in the now flapping packing.
Upon being questioned in regard to his behaviour, the delivery man let my partner know that customer service was pretty much a fantasy, with his own volley of choice words.
Luckily the bike only had a broken reflector.
Back to Cycle Republic..
After the standard 'we are sorry and we are looking into this, please call us back for an update' service.
The person who was dealing with the complaint is always 'currently on another call' or 'will call you back immediately'
The last piece of advice was 'If you go to Halfords, they'll probably give you a reflector for free'
As well they might but here's me thinking 'Hang on, shouldn't you do tha or arrange for that to happen' Maybe it's Halford's 'Give A Free Reflector Month'
I've replaced the reflector myself.
No thanks to CycleFarce.
