In relation to your concern, when a policy is set up using monthly instalments, this involves entering into a credit agreement. As part of this process, a hard credit check is carried out, which is standard for this type of agreement. Customers are made aware of this during the application before proceeding.

I have no idea what the company is like because I only took the policy out a couple of days ago. I think that asking me to review a company this soon is frankly ridiculous.

Cancellation fees for ending a policy mid-term are standard across most insurance providers, as there are administrative and regulatory costs involved in setting up and cancelling cover before the policy has run its full term. This is also outlined within the terms and conditions of you being insured with us, you will have agreed to these when taking the policy out.
While adding a bike to a home insurance policy can be an option, specialist bicycle insurance often provides additional benefits that may not always be included under standard home cover. These can include features such as accidental damage, theft away from home, higher value limits, and more tailored protection designed specifically for cyclists.
That said, we understand that every customer’s needs are different, and it’s important to choose the cover that best suits your individual circumstances and how you prefer to protect your belongings.
