Scam?

I recently received my Tern QuickHaul from the Ciclo online store and encountered some issues during setup.
1. The Dual Stand I ordered is missing a nut, so I was unable to install it immediately.
2. I am unsure whether the stand I received is the Gen 3 version or an older version, as I have read online that older versions are not stable. The current stand sits completely upright and feels very wobbly.

I would appreciate a prompt clarification on the stand version and a replacement for the missing nut. If I do not receive a response within a reasonable timeframe, I will have to consider initiating a PayPal chargeback for this order.

Please let me know how you can resolve these issues as soon as possible.

I recently had the pleasure of using…

I recently had the pleasure of using CYCLE, and I must say that my experience has been nothing short of exceptional. In a world where we are constantly looking for services that align with both convenience and ethical responsibility, finding a platform like this feels like a breath of fresh air. From the very first interaction to the final completion of the service, every single step was handled with the utmost professionalism and care.
First and foremost, I want to highlight the user interface and overall experience. The platform is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. I didn't have to struggle to find the information I needed, nor did I have to jump through hoops to get the process started. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the design to ensure that the user journey is as seamless as possible. It is rare to see an app or website that functions this smoothly without any glitches or confusing menus.

My experience with CYCLE has been…

My experience with CYCLE has been extremely disappointing.

After my bike was stolen (police report provided the same day), I was left without any replacement for almost three weeks, despite my subscription fee being charged in full. During this period, I was unable to work and suffered financial losses.

Communication was inconsistent and confusing — different support agents provided contradictory information, and important decisions (including a €1,000 charge) were applied without prior notice.

I eventually lost trust in the company and had to cancel my subscription. While the cancellation was confirmed, the overall handling of the situation showed a serious lack of reliability, transparency, and consideration for customers who depend on the service for their livelihood.

If you rely on a bike for work, be very careful before choosing this service.

Best rental bike company

I would highly recommend this E-bike subscription. For me as for a courier who is working for UberEats it's the best bike. Service is reliable and fast. Staff is well trained!

CYCLE - Just a con

I contacted support to formally request a partial refund / compensation for my first month’s rental, due to multiple serious issues:

Two defective bikes were issued to me when I first came to collect. This wasted several hours of my day and prevented me from studying or working that morning.

The third RadRunner provided only had 3 battery bars, and even those performed very poorly. I arrived 10:10 for my 10:15 pickup and after returning with 2nd faulty bike it was past 13:00 by the time I left witht the 3rd, also faulty bike.

Despite riding economically (mostly Assist Level 1, no cargo, no heavy throttle), the battery dropped to flashing within 1.5–2 hours, well before completing a shift. That strongly indicates a degraded battery, not a healthy partial charge.

This poor performance cost me earnings during my shift and creates battery anxiety that makes longer shifts unworkable.

I specifically rented this e-bike to support 6–8 hour shifts some days. If a full charge won’t reliably handle that (or at least 4–5 hours), then the product does not meet the needs of working riders — especially for €99/month.

I asked for:

A replacement battery with verified full capacity.

And financial compensation for the lost working hours, disruption, and underperformance so far.

their initial support response simply suggested i go back to pickup and organise a srvice wiht a partner workshop, therefore, not assisitng me at all and just take more of my time and creating further inconvenience for me.

Anyone else who has simialr expeirences or lookign for others with similar experience to take action, please get in touch. I do not yet know how to contact actual management.

📍 Cycle.eco – deeply flawed product and zero accountability

> i’m a professional courier. i’ve logged 57+ hours in june 2025 (so far) alone using their e-bike in graz.
and in that time, cycle.eco has cost me hundreds of euros in lost income.

the bike pretends to reach 25 km/h on screen

in reality, it maxes out at ~20 km/h (radar verified)

you cannot manually over-pedal due to firmware resistance

this speed limit causes €4.80/hour lost

multiply that across shifts, and it adds up fast.
now imagine getting charged €99/month for the privilege of losing money.

i’ve tried to resolve this:

submitted support tickets (ignored or auto-closed)

emailed them with breakdowns, screenshots, even GPS proof (no reply)

visited the graz repair point — was met with mockery, unprofessionalism, and refusal to help

then — they tried to charge me again.
for a broken bike. after weeks of silence.

this is not bad luck. this is system failure.

cycle.eco:

does not investigate complaints

ignores platform bugs

misrepresents product capabilities

charges riders while delivering none of the promised support

i’ve now blocked all payments. i’m preparing legal documentation and reaching out to other riders affected by the same tactics.

if you’re considering renting from them — don’t.
and if you already are — document everything. you may need it.

refund received after massive service failure — not recommended for professional use

the bike is simply not fit for full-time delivery work.
actual riding speed is consistently 5 km/h lower than what the screen displays — which directly affects income when doing gig deliveries under time pressure. nobody was able (or willing) to properly diagnose or fix the issue despite repeated requests.

things got worse after a mechanical failure mid-shift when my saddle broke. after being bounced back and forth between the foodora office and the cycle.eco workshop, i arrived at the workshop (with a booked appointment) only to find it randomly closed with no prior notice. i had to improvise, fix the saddle myself just to finish my shift, and booked another repair attempt for the next day.

when i finally made it back to the workshop, the mechanic’s behavior was completely unprofessional and openly hostile. he shouted at me for adapting the saddle to continue my shift, mocked my intelligence, told me i should "own a second bike," screamed at random people outside the shop, and repeatedly announced that he only had "3 weeks left" at the job — as if that excused the behavior.

after documenting all technical issues, submitting multiple written complaints and presenting full evidence of financial losses, i finally escalated the case to management. only then did the company agree to refund multiple months and cancel unpaid charges.

this was not proactive customer service — this was pure pressure management on their side.

bottom line:

not recommended for professional use

highly unreliable if your income depends on daily performance

zero respect for riders under real-life working conditions

compensation only happens if you escalate formally and bring full documentation
