I came into this boot camp with no prior tech or cybersecurity experience, and I can honestly say it changed the trajectory of my career in ways I wouldn’t have thought possible.

The mentorship and continued support long after the course ended is something you rarely get anywhere. That ongoing guidance gave me the confidence and capability to land a Senior Security Engineer role at a major company doing government work which is something I genuinely wouldn’t have thought possible before.

If you’re serious about breaking into or levelling up in cybersecurity, this is where you start.

So I started my journey with Cyber Agoge back in September 2024. With no previous tech experience, I followed the roadmap plan and landed a job within weeks after I started applying.

Throughout this time, Charlie has shown a genuine commitment to the success of his students. He will often update us with the current going ons in the industry, keeping us all abreast to what is new.

Being a part of this bootcamp made me stand out during interviews as I apparently knew a lot for somebody who is still relatively new. His bootcamp is thorough and to the point. During this period I have seen his bootcamp evolve and now there is a student portal that we use to stay collectively engaged and delivers the best projects you can use to add to your CV.

Hands down Charlie knows exactly what he is talking about and offers sooo many gems. I highly recommend if you want to seriously break into tech (DevSecOps).

The learning is what has made the experience great Charlie makes sure it is very clear and easy to understand. the company is making the path very easy into cyber security. The only problem I have had is communication through the bootcamp can be hard.

Brilliant. I’ve just finished the Cyber Agoge DevSecOps bootcamp and it way exceeded my expectations. The training is fully live-we met over 30 times each on Zoom live with the instructor leading practical sessions start to finish. No filler or pre-recorded lectures: every class was interactive, with time for questions, demos, and screen-sharing to troubleshoot in real time even if you had no previous experience like me.
What stood out most was the structure and support. We built practical projects that mirrored real-world DevSecOps scenarios, and I left each session with tangible outcomes rather than theory alone. After the core live classes, there were ongoing live project workshops and community support which helped me keep momentum, polish my portfolio, and get feedback on blockers.
The instructor’s industry experience showed-advice was specific, current, and tied to tools teams actually use. The bootcamp also included clear guidance on next steps (how to present projects, what to learn next, and how to talk about DevSecOps work in interviews).
For the price, it’s excellent value compared with courses that charge several thousand pounds and don’t offer this level of live, hands-on time. If you’re looking for a bootcamp that is interactive, practical, and well-supported-and you want to come away with projects you can talk about confidently-this is a strong choice.
Tip: Come prepared to build. I found that the more you engage during the live sessions, the more you’ll get out of it.

​I paid £699 for what was advertised as an intensive "bootcamp" with dedicated mentorship. What I received was fundamentally an extremely overpriced, twelve-week online course that failed to deliver on its core promises.
​This program is not a bootcamp. It consists only of twelve, 2-hour online Zoom calls where the instructor briefly explains different concepts.

​Key Issues:
​The company heavily advertised that a mentor would be assigned. This did not happen. There was zero active mentorship, and the lecturer never followed up after the last Zoom call. The only time I heard from him outside of the course was an offer to provide a single 1-to-1 "mentor" call only if I first left a positive review on Trustpilot—a clear ethical issue and proof that ongoing mentorship was never part of the deal. They claim there is 1 to 1 calls but I have still not had even 1. I was sent an invite to 1 zoom meeting after the course which was to build a project but only 3 or so students turned up so the lecturer spent 40 or so minutes showing us how to create a simple S3 bucket using terraform.

​Paying £699 for Zoom calls is not worth the price. You can learn the same concepts for a fraction of the cost on platforms like Udemy or Udacity, where structured mentorship and community support are often included for significantly less.

​There is no dedicated online classroom, student dashboard, or community. All course materials (slides and recordings) are simply added to a shared One Drive folder after each session.
​In summary, this is a basic, self-paced, online lecture series masquerading as an intensive, mentored bootcamp. If you are looking for an active, supported, and structured learning environment, look elsewhere. Don't advertise something that clearly isn't a bootcamp!! I strongly regret losing my money on this course.

The DevSecOps bootcamp was a great experience for me. Getting involved with so many different technologies was fantastic, not to mention having a CISO taking you through it! The more you put in the more you will get out.

The self-paced DevSecOps bootcamp was the best investment I've made. It’s been incredibly valuable and has helped me gain hands-on experience, improve my CV, and prepare for interviews. The course is comprehensive and the videos are detailed, you can tell a lot of time and effort went into creating them. Charlie is always there to help and provides excellent support whenever needed. If you're looking to get into DevSecOps, this bootcamp is the way to go.

The CyberAgoge Bootcamp has been an incredible journey. This program is led by and mentored by Charlie Banyard, a fantastic CISO and respected cybersecurity leader whose journey I've followed for some time. It's been incredibly valuable to be learning directly and be mentored by him. His commitment to building secure by design systems and mentoring the next wave of security professionals is truly inspiring.

The way Charlie breaks down the technology that are typical of a DevSecOps or DevSecAI Engineer are incredible, and he makes he makes every concept so simple.

What's even more impactful is learning from and building connections with previous alumni who were once in my shoes and are now thriving in the industry. These are people who've successfully built the skills and now lead impactful security work across various tech sectors. This real world perspective really brings the learning to life!

Coming from another industry, this bootcamp has given me the confidence to really chase my dreams of working in Cyber Security.

I discovered Charlie’s DevSecOps course through his insightful TikTok videos, and as someone with a background in Cyber Security holding a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from my home country and a Master's in Computer Networking and Cyber Security with Work Experience, alongside industry work experience, I was genuinely impressed by how clearly he broke down complex concepts.

Encouraged by his clear and practical teaching style, I enrolled in a paid January–March 2025 bootcamp. My goal was not only to deepen my technical knowledge but also to expand my professional network and gain mentorship from someone with extensive senior-level experience in the UK tech industry.

As someone relatively new to the UK, I can confidently say that this bootcamp exceeded my expectations. It significantly improved my job prospects, I began securing multiple interviews in senior roles, and was able to apply the knowledge and techniques from the bootcamp to confidently navigate those conversations.

Prior to joining, I had difficulty even landing interviews for my desired kind of roles despite my strong Cyber Security background and experience. However, the structured CV workshops, mock interview sessions, curated reading materials, and one-on-one mentorship with Charlie played a crucial role in helping me secure a senior government role, an achievement I had struggled to reach for quite some time.

This bootcamp was the missing link, the final touch that helped me transition successfully into senior roles in the UK job market. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone, regardless of prior experience in Cyber Security. The teaching approach is inclusive, practical, and supportive of learners from all backgrounds. Brilliant idea to record the live lessons so that you can learn in your own time if you can not attend. This has been really good for me as I currently work different shifts and have struggled to attend the live lessons but I am still able to achieve learning a new skill.

And any time I had questions or got stuck, he was there—quick to respond and always supportive.

I also loved that the bootcamp invites guest speakers who were once in our shoes—former students now thriving in the field. Being able to ask them about their roles and journeys gave me so much insight and inspiration. Besides all the knowledge you will get, you get Charlie as a mentor and that makes all the difference. I was still in the middle of the bootcamp and i was able to find a job in the cybersecurity field due to all the CVs and Interview work we do during the bootcamp.

The technical part is really well made and i think you can’t find this structured information anywhere besides this bootcamp.

I joined Charlies Cyber Agoge Cyber Sec bootcamp in Aug 2024 and can I just say it was the best decision I've made for my career. I've begun to understand how to secure pipelines and how to assess threats to organisations. Furthermore Charlie as a tutor is amazing. Questions are always answered thoroughly and he's always approachable. His content is in depth and the learning is always relevant to the security field you wish to progress in. This bootcamp isn't like others where you pay a fee and your expected to 'just get on with it'. Each step of the way support is available. Recently I've completed my 1-2-1 with Charlie where we discussed future career plans which also included a roadmap / targets to achieve certs which was realistic and achievable. Please note though the ownership is always on us as students to embed the knowledge and complete homework in our own time. overall Cyber Agoge has done amazin to point me in the right direction to chase a career in security/tech.
