Absolutely terrible experience

I would not recommend CUTX at all, to anyone based on my experience.

From the beginning, I was fully transparent about my financial situation, including multiple rental properties and shared ownership. I also asked several times whether there were any concerns with my file and was consistently told everything looked good.

Based on that guidance, I moved forward with selling my home that I had lived in 10 years and entering into a purchase contract. Then, very late in the process, (less than 2 weeks to closing!) my loan was denied due to debt-to-income concerns tied to the same rental properties that had been disclosed from day one.

This was not new information. It should have been identified and addressed early in the process, not after major financial decisions had already been made.

The entire situation raises serious concerns about the quality of their review process and whether files are being properly evaluated upfront. The lack of early diligence and communication created unnecessary risk and stress during an already time-sensitive transaction.

I would strongly advise working with a different lender that performs a thorough and accurate underwriting review from the start.

Like always my experience today was a…

Like always my experience today was a disaster, Robert took my petition for a replacement card , the same person that before had asked me to get a second checking to avoid fraudulent charges! What a lie! I was there for the same reason and then he added: and you’re debit card could be taken away and you wouldn’t be able to do transactions unless you visit the branch! Mehta a bunch of garbage! It is not my fault that my debit card numbers were stolen and used in a couple of fraudulent charges.
Anyway nobody at a Bank should be threatened specially a Customer of over ten years! And a Veteran! Beware of all the fees: transaction, transfer, over the a border fees international fees? What a bunch of crooks and they still work there. Stay away! I already told my wife to withdraw the more than $ 30,000 in a savings accounts and will go to another bank! Angry in Mesquite Tx.

Run FAR away

Absolute trash. My car was totalled out and paid for by GAP and 10 months later they are STILL charging me for my auto loan that is no longer valid because of their own accounting error, and I can’t reach a damn soul. Liars, thieves, disgusting company

CUTX should reconsider relying so…

CUTX should reconsider relying so heavily on the AI customer service bot, SAM. I normally handle my banking through the ATM or by phone, but when I recently experienced fraud on my account, I couldn’t reach a live representative quickly to help resolve the issue or even place an alert on my account.
For urgent situations like fraud, members should be able to speak with a real person immediately. Instead, I was forced toward scheduling an appointment, which isn’t practical when you’re dealing with a potentially compromised account.
Because I couldn’t get help over the phone, I had to take time off work and go into the branch in person to resolve the issue. This could have easily been handled with a quick phone call, and it made the experience very inconvenient.
I value the member-focused service credit unions are known for, so I hope CUTX MANAGEMENT reviews this process and improves access to live representatives for urgent account concerns.

Please email your name and best contact information to help@cutx.org in case we’re unable to match your Trustpilot username to a member record and find a way to connect. Absolutely awful customer service

Absolutely awful customer service. We are trying to get an auto loan payoff and have waited over 90 minutes on the phone and nobody will answer. We tried the chat but had no luck there either. Avoid this CU at all costs.

Been banking here for 40 plus years…

Been banking here for 40 plus years when it was known as Teachers Credit Union. Many changes over the years none of which are for the benefit of the consumer. Lots of nickel and dime charges. Including charging for online banking (which I have yet to find any other banks that charge to pay online). This place has gone downhill fast and rip off the customer with unnecessary fees. Go elsewhere! Don't waste your time!

CUSTOMERS CASH IS NOT SAFE with Credit Union of Texas

I experienced that customers CASH IS NOT
SAFE with credit union of Texas. This credit union is NOT on its customers side. I recently had a fraudulent transaction report to my checking account. Credit Union of Texas showed terrible customer support, and asked me to get on a 3way call with the merchant, only to go back and forth. Very unprofessional, and unreliable.

Unsafe

Every bank will protect ur funds except this bank. If u bought something using bank of America from a company and return it, BOA will make sure u get ur money back, but CUTX will not help u out. Very lazy bank.

Excellent Service and Seamless Auto Loan Experience

I recently worked with CUTX and their outstanding auto loan officer, Allan Weiss, to finance my vehicle. Allan provided exceptional service, guiding me through every step of the process with professionalism and care. He not only made the experience smooth and stress-free but also secured me the best rate available for used cars at 5.45%. I highly recommend CUTX and Allan Weiss to anyone looking for great service and competitive rates!

Wait times, Hold times, and untrained employees

I just needed to wire $1300 and I have currently been on the phone for 27 minutes. I figured while they are wasting my time, I will vent a little. They have steadily gotten slower, and worse over the last few years. They constantly have new employees that are undertrained, both on the phone, and in the branch.

4 months w new account, and several bad experiences

I opened my account about 4 months ago, and I've already had a few terrible experiences with CUTX. They're inconvenient for travelers with only a few locations. They have extremely poor customer service. As a result of fraud done to my account, I learned my cash is NOT safe, nor protected in my CUTX accounts. It was impossible to transfer a large sum of money (more than 1k), via zelle, from my account. Not a good experience with this bank.

they will take a week for a mobile deposit..A WEEK!

I have been with CUTX since JAN 2024. Its now SEP 2024, and like all banks they seem great, friendly and nice at first, as long as money is going in and nothing else is needed. But when you need something there is a problem. I performed a MOBILE deposit for a check of a little over $500 from a bank in Texas. The app states it will take 48 hours. Its 6 days later and the check is still showing "unavailable" on my account?? I called them. The AI system "Bethany" gave me the company line..."it will be 48hrs"....uh no Bethany. I asked to speak to a human. They put me on hold for 25min!! And the whole time "Bethany" is on the on hold message telling me... talk to Bethany, chat with Bethany, it will be faster with Bethany. "Bethany" YOU CAN NOT HELP ME!! DANG IT! Finally, So then the customer service girl says...yeah we suggest people just go in to the branch to deposit checks...NO DUH Captain Obvious?! It will be in the acct tonight.( TONIGHT? you know to the hour exactly?? just put it in NOW!! )SOOOO... the convenience of MOBILE deposit is NOT convenient?? That's how you gonna play this CUTX?? What if i'm homebound or can not get to a branch?

MY MONEY WAS NOT SAFE WITH CUTX

CUTX unilaterally and without warning took thousands of dollars of mine to satisfy my husband's separate credit card debt.

This happened AFTER CUTX had assured me that it understood that the money in the account was my SEPARATE property (as it had been raised in a GoFundMe after my husband's death) and that the debt was his separately.

It's hard to describe the inappropriateness of this violation, but let me be clear: based on my experience, MONEY IS NOT SAFE WITH CUTX.
