I was given the keys to my New Build property in January. I was in contact with Mary throughout who gave us monthly updates on the progress of my property which was great to keep us in the loop. Since getting the keys for the property Cruden have been excellent in assisting us with various things such as trimming our doors and kick plates when we got our own flooring down. Peter and Michael also have sorted any snagging quickly for us quickly along with any other issues
Lisa clearly cared about us finding our perfect home and went way beyond her role to advise us about the whole process. She didn't just look to 'sell sell sell'. We had a great day out visiting and it has really helped us to start looking ahead. Thank you Lisa!
The entire process of purchasing our new home from Cruden—from initial enquiry to receiving the keys and moving in—was exceptional. Everything felt smooth, straightforward, and even enjoyable, thanks to the team’s professionalism and support throughout.
Ashley was incredibly friendly and supportive, always keeping us informed and up to date at every stage. Communication was consistently clear and timely, which made a big difference.

From first point of contact with Ashley in September 2025 and thereafter my journey was made easy! A friendly, bubbly person who couldn’t do enough for me! Ashley was patient and always responded quickly to my queries & definitely always with a smile.
Site Manager Aaron, promptly took on board any concerns I had on my new 1 bedroom pad! All his crew who I met treated me respectfully with a smiling friendly demeanour and Aaron couldn’t do enough to resolve any issues I had, quickly and painlessly. Mark the plumber should also receive a mention!
Both Ashley and Aaron obviously love their jobs, and they are a credit to themselves and Crudens. Ultimately they are first point of contact for Crudens and they both provided a caring Customer Service to me. This should be passed on to Fraser Lynes CEO, I am sure there must be an in-house rewards scheme somewhere in Crudens for their staff!
They confirmed to me that I had made the right choice buying a Crudens home.
On that note just a few tips that Fraser might like to consider for future Crudens Homer owners
- A binder containing al necessary documents e.g.from instructions on Washing Machine, appliances Central Heating, Edinburgh Council recycling days printed calendar , general points of interest within the area that homeowners moved to. Although this can be obtained from websites it’s an unnecessary chore when this could be provided all in one place in a binder for homeowners.
- Welcome pack containing, sachets coffee, tea, sugar etc. Hand gel, or soap and dare I say it a Toilet roll!
Happy to discuss my suggestions ….. although everyone is different I just think a bit of welcoming pack would be appreciated. It doesn’t have to be expensive, sometimes it’s the thought that counts.

Everyone at Cruden has been a pleasure to deal with both during and after the purchase of our new home at Hawkhead. Isobel and then Jan were so helpful during the purchase of our house and answered all of the questions that we had. After moving in our snags were handled with no issues and in a timely manner by Michael and Willie. We had heard some nightmare stories about new builds so were a little nervous, but Cruden have been nothing but helpful across the entire process.

I was handed the keys to my new home in February and I have to say I have had a great experience. I was in contact with Mary who was great until the handover and since I have been in contact with Michael and Peter the site managers who have also been absolutely fantastic. The quality of the build is great and my snags were fixed promptly without fuss. A great experience all round!

Whole process from first visit to getting the keys for my new home was positive due to the professionalism and patience shown by the Sales Manager Jan. Jan was so helpful in helping with issues I had mainly due to problems with the sale of my old house. Once we moved in any snagging issue was dealt with quickly by the on-site team led by Site Managers Michael and Willie . Even issues that have arisen since team left have been dealt with quickly by the Customer Service Team

We have had the best of service from visiting the site to pick a home right through to beyond our move in date. We dealt with Maureen at the Wellwater Grove development at East Calder and she was so welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. From moving in, Matt the Site Manager has been amazing, nothing is too much trouble and any niggles we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently. He also has gone above and beyond to help us with any issue we raised. To be honest, we were very apprehensive about buying a new build as we have heard some horror stories but the service we have received and the quality and design of our house put any fears to bed. We are more than happy with our new home and would thoroughly recommend Cruden Homes to everyone ❤️❤️❤️ thanks and appreciation to Maureen, Matt and all the workers behind the scenes xxxx

Recently purchased our forever home with cruden and could not be happier with the service and care we have received, sales team Mary and Sarah were so helpful through the purchasing phase and on and after handover day Michael and the other site agents/management have delivered top class service with any issues and problems we have encountered and been on the ball to get everything sorted. I recently moved into a new build by Cruden, and the entire process has been impressively smooth and straightforward. Having heard plenty of "new build" horror stories, I was cautiously optimistic, but Cruden has lived up to expectations.
The Highlights:
Seamless Handover: From the initial paperwork to moving day, the communication was clear and the timeline was respected.
Proactive Snagging: As with any new house, there have been a few minor snagging issues. However, the team hasn't been dismissive; they’ve been quick to acknowledge the points and schedule the remediation work.
Excellent Tradespeople: A special shout-out to Paul the painter, who was in today. He’s been great at touching up the finishing spots and ensuring everything looks sharp. It’s those small details! And having friendly, professional tradespeople on-site makes a big difference.
Overall:
I’m really happy with the quality of the build and the level of aftercare provided so far. If you're looking for a developer that actually follows through on build quality, I’d certainly recommend Cruden.

Right from the off when we first walked into the portacabin we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Right through our cycle of seeing just a plan to getting our keys 2 weeks ago the customer service has been second to none. We were kept up to date right through the process and visited many times just to see how the build was going and every time we were welcomed by the Cruden team Especially Mary who you would think would be sick of the sight of me bugging her :) Even today popping in to ask about something extra Mary was more than happy to assist me. I cannot recommend Cruden highly enough, absolute professional service from start to finish (and beyond moving in)
