While "sticker price shock" was my first reaction, Nick Adams their technician is worth every penny ! He's very professional, methodical in his approach and cares about the customer. A rare find these days, not to mention that he put me at ease while working to get rid of the critter problem
We had an animal coming and going between our wall and fireplace stack. We had called Critter Control out just to get this animal out for us. We have previously called out a different company, but they said there was ZERO indication of rodents or creatures in the attic. However, we were still hearing noises near the fireplace. Critter Control came out and all of a sudden we had a rat/mouse problem. They suggested that they set up traps and seal the attic. They set up traps nowhere near where we said the animal was. However, they continued not to listen for two weeks and the creature ended up dying in the exact spot we had told them to investigate (stinking up the entire house). At the end of the day, we are having to pay for a service that they didn't provide (trapping a squirrel) all because they wound't listen to their customers. We were happy with wildlife protection ($689). The rodent removal was ($400). Had we known that they were just going to let the squirrel die we wouldn't have hired them. We could have removed a dead animal ourselves. We do not recommend. Oh and there were ZERO rats/mice.

I would fist like to apologize for you being dissatisfied with a part of our service. We made 3 visits to your home of course free of charge to answer questions and concerns prior to working together. We explained the different wildlife in the area and what our inspection yielded. All work at Critter Control comes with photos of the evidence before a recommendation is presented. This allows us to make an educated plan to help to solve your problem.
When preforming exclusion work (Home Seal Up) it is always best to pair that up with a trapping regiment. This prevents us from trapping something in and allowing it to potentially cause damage. In this case the evidence of rodents was present. Also understand, trapping for either species is the same in price. You received no charge for the squirrel removal and the rodent trapping insured that none had been trapped in. You are no longer having an issue and the home is seal correctly.
We can understand your frustration. We hope you understand that the weather it was rodent removal or squirrel removal the charge of $399.99 would have been the same. In this cause you received both assurances.
