waste of time and money. they closed my account without any reason or asking for anything.
I would like to formally express my deep concern regarding the sudden and unjustified suspension of my account. Despite having conducted no fraudulent or suspicious activity whatsoever, my account was abruptly banned without any prior warning or explanation.
Even more troubling is the fact that I have already submitted all required and legitimate company documentation to verify my identity and business activities. Instead of resolving the issue promptly, I have now been told to wait, without any estimated timeline or transparency regarding the process.
You mentioned that your system automatically flagged and banned me. However, I had only one active support conversation within 24 hours—this raises serious doubts about the reliability of your automated moderation tools. For a business like mine, which operates at scale and requires full-time platform stability, this kind of unjustified ban is not only damaging, but it also reflects a severe lack of operational integrity.
If this is how your platform handles professional users with verified information, I will be left with no choice but to share my experience on major review sites and forums, outlining how your system arbitrarily bans accounts and delays resolution even when no policy violation has occurred.
This is not just an inconvenience—it puts real financial operations at risk, undermines trust, and could cause reputational harm on your end if more users begin to experience the same.
Hey, on behalf of Leadsbounty.com i'm here to tell everyone that crisp.chat is scammers. we use them for almost 5 days and we we're trying to discuss a problem with thier support, the agent is angry and he decide to suspend our account. after a while they charged us 85.81$. i will report them via my bank. Please everyone be carefull
FRAUD ALERT: I signed up for free trial, with expiration in 14 days then they auto sign you up. No way to cancel and delete account. Free trial has little to no value and upgrades were too expensive for me. I contacted support, they say “no way to cancel on our side”. I followed instructions, sent them screen shot, no help. They transferred me to Angelique who tried 3 times to sell me only to then repeat can’t help you and said I have to delete the account, they can’t do it. Sent me same instructions, followed step by step, it does not allow me to cancel and delete my account. Stay away! It’s a fraud and scam business. I want my account cancelled and deleted!
Broken and buggy experience. The software doesn't work and isn't ready to be sold yet. We reached out to customer support about some of the issues we've noticed- they were extremely rude and blocked us from the platform without notice. I've NEVER been treated like this by a company before.
They work with scammers.
They work with scammers.
They work with scammers. I have reported a problem about a scammer website using their software they don't want to do anything about it.
so for everyone pay attention with this website below and of course Crisp Chat
Our users told us they haven't been receiving some of our customer support team's responses, this makes us look awful to them, and they feel ignored, and we risk getting poor reviews.
We looked into this and it turns out that in these cases Crisp hadn't even attempted to send our responses to these users :(
This is a known ongoing issue at Crisp that affects other Crisp customers right now. Crisp just doesn't care.
Their practices are misleading. Beware!
I had a very disappointing experience with Crisp.chat. I requested to cancel my subscription months ago, yet I continued to be charged for services I neither wanted nor used. When I reached out to customer support, they informed me that I was still being billed for plugins that I wasn’t even aware were still active. This feels like a deliberate tactic to extract more money from customers.
The process to cancel services is convoluted and far from user-friendly. Even though I clearly communicated my intention to cancel, no one bothered to inform me that I needed to manually uninstall plugins to avoid future charges. Instead, they let the charges accumulate, which seems incredibly unfair and dishonest.
When I asked for a refund for the months I was charged, they hid behind their Terms of Use and only offered to refund one invoice as a "courtesy." This is not how a customer-centric company operates. Their app is clunky, difficult to navigate, and clearly designed by developers with little regard for user experience.
If you're considering using Crisp.chat, be very cautious. Their practices are misleading, and their customer service is unsatisfactory and often condescending. There are plenty of other chat service options out there that don’t rely on such underhanded tactics to make money. I strongly advise against using Crisp.chat unless they make serious changes to their business practices.
How can the Ticket Center plugin be twice as expensive as the Crisp Unlimited plan? A fully featured helpdesk ticketing system can't be more than $50. Helpdesk.com is $34, and with the Livechat plan, you pay $93 in total. It is the same for all platforms, Zendesk, Intercom... that's crazy. I was already a customer of Crisp, I cancelled after a week when they wanted to chargeme for extra facebook connections when nobody does that and Facebook charges nothing. It makes me think Crisp is just a money-making machine. Ticketing should be free and included in the Unlimited plan, which is the most expensive chat plan on the market, by the way.
I couldn't afford the product this month for my non-profit, and I couldn't really afford it last month either. Last month, I asked if I could please get a refund and they sent the refund while keeping functionality going. They didn't have to do that for me. This month, I asked for another payment extension and they didn't seem to really think twice. It's not an expensive product, and in fact the pricing is excellent, I just have fallen on hard times personally and can hardly afford food/shelter, so probably need to table this for now.
Anyway, my point in this review is to say that I won't be in such a low economic position forever, nor for very much longer at all. But every time I have trouble making ends meet in my life, I get to see a lot of companies' true colors. I get to see who has my back, my company's back, and empathy to put it simply. They consider the human in their approach to service, and humans remember that sort of thing (who helped them out when they needed it). In this way, Crisp is among the most generous (and forgiving) of any company my company relies upon for day-to-day operations. They don't do what other companies do and turn off your store to make it look bad to customers, only remove some luxuries from the app. The support is really quick and proactive all the time (don't have to be broke to get good service). They'll reach out if they can tell you need help. If anything goes wrong, they're so prompt to help out it's insane.
The platform IMO is like an order of magnitude more intuitive and well-designed than Intercom or others that seem nice at first, but when you get behind the scenes, is not quite as pleasant an experience as Crisp. Hands down, Crisp has the nicest agent experience, and there are cute little features sprinkled all over. Kudos, will be back as a customer without a doubt. Tysm.
I am thoroughly impressed with Crisp.chat's customer support team for their prompt and ethical conduct. I highly recommend Crisp.chat to any reputable business seeking an efficient and direct online chat channel to assist their customers.
We chose Crisp because of the Segment integration. We've been paying for over a year without really using Crisp. Now that we're ready to start using the software it turns out their Segment integration is broken and they don't really want to fix it, it seems. Asked for some form of compensation until the issue is resolved, but they're not willing to do anything.
Other than that, they seem to be very intent on hammering out new functionality, which is nice, were it not that a lot of the existing functionality is quite buggy
Strained Relations and Compliance Concerns with Crisp.Chat
Opting for Crisp.Chat, a prominent live chat and chatbot service, initially seemed promising for enhancing communication efficiency. However, the reality of my experience was significantly marred by serious concerns surrounding data protection, adherence to GDPR regulations, and the comportment of the company's leadership.
A key issue that I confronted revolved around the handling of user data. There were several situations where Crisp.Chat's data practices appeared to contravene not just their own declared policies but also GDPR law. One such instance involved being coerced into providing additional personal and business registration data to retrieve access to my locked account, a clear violation of GDPR and Crisp.Chat's stated privacy policy.
Additionally, despite Crisp.Chat's policy statement that they "do not process the data of our customers (and their end-users)," I was told on several occasions that the organization was processing extra data, a glaring contradiction of their own policy.
A further cause for concern was the company's approach to automated decision-making and profiling. An automated process unjustifiably flagged my client's business as fraudulent. The insistence on extra verification, which necessitated breaching GDPR guidelines, was alarming.
The issues were compounded by the conduct of the company's CEO, which left a lot to be desired. This was disconcerting and significantly undermined my confidence in the platform and its leadership.
Despite these challenges, it's worth acknowledging the commendable efforts of a customer service representative, Clark, who did his utmost to offer assistance within the constraints of his role. His endeavors, although ultimately curtailed by company policies, were appreciated.
In summary, my engagement with Crisp.Chat, despite the potential value of their service, was overshadowed by grave concerns over data privacy practices, GDPR compliance, and the unprofessional demeanor of the company's leadership. Prospective customers should take note of these issues before deciding to use Crisp.Chat.
Please note that this review is a reflection of my personal experience, and may not necessarily be representative of the experiences of all Crisp.Chat users.
We began our experience with Crisp back in August of 2021. The purpose of Crisp was for offering customer service, live chat, a status page, and a knowledgebase. There were a few issues we ran into that could be very concerning for businesses running basic operations through their customer support channel.
Let's go over the Pros of Crisp:
The UI/UX - You cannot beat the user interface or experience. I enjoy this entire layout a lot. The utilities and settings you have access to are amazing.
Chatbot - I did not use this feature to the fullest however though, it was an amazing tool to utilize when sudden service impacts arose and needed specific information provided to us.
Status Page - The features were endless with their status page. Easy integration for a website to a Node.js application with efficient alerts about degraded performance or outages.
Now let's discuss the Cons of Crisp:
Almost NO Permission System - There is no way to select what a certain employee can utilize on your support dashboard. The only exclusions are admin-based permissions. This is a HUGE downside for Crisp as it really allows risks that could affect your customers.
Discord Integration - This is fixed at this current moment however it took many months and multiple ticket entries regarding the fixing of their discord integration. We were given confidence that it would be fixed then by no fix or follow-up.
Rough Analytics - It is very hard to get analytics to work with you and this could just be an operator error on my end but the start and end of the analytics were never lined up with what we needed.
Overall I would say Crisp is one of the best platforms out there however there are some major setbacks that set them lower for me and my needs. I think Crisp will continue to develop and eventually turn into a better experience. I will be all for trying it out again in the future but for now, there are some fixes needed. You also cannot beat that price.
Pedro has been amazingly responsive every time I've ever had a question whether it was a quick little question or asking for help setting up a chatbot, and Barkley took such a personal interest in helping me figure out an issue I was having and spent two days troubleshooting it with me. You really can't put a price on that kind of service, but they did, and it's less than one percent of the cost of a similar plan on Intercom. I don't know how anybody can use anything else!
As a startup, This platform is helping me a lot , I love how the integration is so smooth with wordpress. And I can't tell more, It's just awesome!
The email inbox functionality is a total fail as it is unable to render rich content / HTML emails. They appear in plain-text and are unreadable. Even the: VIEW ORIGINAL EMAIL option does not fully work.
The main reason to use Crisp is a unified inbox. With regards to receiving emails through their inbox, they recommend it is especially useful to forward support type emails.
Well let me warn you, their email functionality is lacking!
It is not possible to view rich-content emails i.e. no HTML emails. It displays in the inbox as text which is unreadable.
Speaking to support they said the only option is to select the: VIEW ORIGINAL EMAIL link.
However, even this does not work.
Support simply states:
"Just a heads up, that is how the message shows in some email providers. Our transcripts use latest email styling techniques, that may break rendering on older email clients, or those that are not up to latest standards."
WELL let me tell you... the email I am referring to is ACTUALLY one of THEIR marketing emails that can't display. In addition to 99% of all other emails.
And after I took it up with support again, the reply was they have too much on their plate:
"Our dev has noted this already but we cannot change this right away as we are having too much on our plate."
So do yourself a favour and don't bother with Crisp if you are hoping to use their unified inbox.
I love this service and the team is amazing!
Crisp is more than "just" livechat. It ties everything together, including an awesome Helpdesk and email campaigns, status page and much more.
My company has been using Crisp for about a year now, and we have no regrets.
Incomplete software. It simply cannot compete with its competitors. They make a lot of promises about improvements that they never follow up on.
Such as: They do not have a built-in feature to send an "Out of office" message every time. Instead, they have a bot where something similar can be set up, but it is very unreliable and does not work for returning customers. We were promised this fix more than a year ago and have yet to see it. And this is only one example.
Of the worst errors, Crisp often cannot show the entire conversation history and Crisp randomly deletes user content without any warning. And they don't care when you tell them. This is "as designed".
