Not worth the money
There is no way to know with certainty about our past just from the records, or stories from family. You can look in the mirror, the color of your eyes and skin and hazard a guess. DNA is supposed to be definitive. And the 2 prior dna tests confirmed and added context to my family tree research. Those tests mostly reaffirmed what I knew already. Not this one which says Im 61% Italian. I would be pleased to find I had these roots. But its far fetched to say the least, unless the ancestry is from “Roman” not Italian occupation of the Levant. The ancestry.com dna at least included family matches, and this has connected me to many traceable family matches. Im not going to pay these guys more to see what appears to be faulty mapping….Im sure they are sincere, but not worth the money imho

They nickel and dime you for most reports.
They don't let you download your DNA file
Both paternal grandparents (LaClair and Bellon) are from France, and nothing in reports shows a French background. Perhaps giving parents names would help them traverse family trees better.

Regarding your reports, all paid reports are normally activated upon the completion of your test. Any reports that will show as locked are not included in your order.
About the reports not matching where your ancestors are from, please note that the difference is because our test is based on genetics, not genealogy. Genealogy looks at family records and where your ancestors lived, while genetics shows where your DNA actually comes from.
Your DNA can reveal ancient migrations or hidden ancestry that might not appear in your family tree. This means your results may show connections to regions like Italy or Germany, even if your known ancestors didn’t live there. These connections are likely due to your ancestors' DNA coming from those regions long ago.
Finally, the reason why we don't offer the option to download your DNA file is that we value the privacy and the confidentiality of your DNA information and one of our top priorities is to minimize any possibilities of a data leak. Raw data can make customer information vulnerable to misuse by pharmaceutical companies and data mining, which we want to avoid.
Offering raw data downloads is part of our future plans, and we're working on connecting with a secure DNA database to make it possible. Had to look back and find something that had to do with my results. Wasn’t sure what to expect but thought it would have been a bit more professional. It also reduces the cost of the item. Since your reports are available, there is actually an option to print them out if you need a hard copy, or you may also save it as a PDF file instead.
About your concern about the reports getting completed early than the 6–8-week timeframe that we provided, please know that since every DNA is unique, some DNA can easily be read while others may take some time to complete the report as we aim to put everything in our standards and prioritize the accuracy of all tests as always. It will also vary on how complex and delicate your samples are.

Very quick results and great customer service. Had some interesting results and things I did not expect. But, some of the medical results counter acted eachother. Easy to use dashboard and the haplogroup was cool.

Spend $20 more and go to another more reputable company
Purchased genetics test for our adoptive daughter and for me based on recommendations by our naturopath. He told us we needed DNA testing to support our health plan more thoroughly. I would NEVER recommend CRI Genetics. I saved about $20-30 per person over 23&Me, but did not get any helpful information for my doctor. I wish my doctor would have specifically mentioned what DNA test company to use, but now we spent over $250 for our tests and they are not useful.
