If i could give them zero starts i would have done, terrible customer service. The person i was speaking to on email was so rude, if the CEO wants a copy of the email trail, happy to provide. They were recommended by VISIT USA/Destinations Show. They are not getting my business!

Horrible Customer Service

Horrible Customer Service, Terrible Trial experience, I would never recommend this product to anybody. There isn't anything worth recommending about this junk site. Creative Live was an absolute waste of time. There is no reason you could find during their pitiful "trial". I was "provided" (what they would claim) is a trial to sample their paid website, after I signed up for a paid version of Microsoft Office. Creative Live proceeded to sign me up for a trial of their service, and it expired before I even got a chance to use any of it. I did manage to get them to reset it, but after trying it out for an hour, I gave it a few days to grow on me. In total, I was logged into their site for maybe 2 hours. The trial expired after its clock hit zero, and the Customer Service department decided that was all they were willing to provide. In that time, I determined the site was NOT worth wasting money on, the Trial was junk and the Customer Service department is too "self-absorbed" to understand that their over-priced website access isn't worth the money to anyone who isn't getting any chance to use it. If they won't provide us with any experience on the site, the value that their paid service defaults to ZERO.

Going quickly downhill no longer worth it.

I have bought a lot of courses over the years and now subscribe. The subscription model was at first attractive even though it meant I had effectively wasted all the money I had spent on purchases. The issue is with nearly everyone on a subscription they seem to release hardly anything new and don't update their existing courses. What they do release is generic and not in the same league or depth as their courses used to be. I am cancelling my subscription, and can no longer recommend them but I think they are slowly dying anyway. During the pandemic would have been a great time for them to expand their on line product but they did the opposite.

Horrible company

Horrible company. First their videos are old. Example, at Photoshop, you get it for 10-11 eur/month they use old versions like 2015.
Second, in some classes you just cannot swap to the next class. Example FAST CLASS: HOW TO MAKE MONEY from Ramit Sethi. I move to Karl Taylor. Much better, and they have new clases, workshops often.

CreativeLive class: A gift that keeps on giving

ETA: CreativeLive is closing shop, unfortunately. I saw notice of this last month. They will shutter their site on Dec 31, 2025. ITMT, they are letting existing customers download the library of classes they've purchased or earned over the years. Having taken a bunch of classes, it will take some time and additional storage to make sure I save all the video footage from my classes. I will always appreciate the time I spent online and IRL at CreativeLive's studio in SF where I was fortunate to learn from some wonderful and knowledgeable instructors. Thanks again for everything, CreativeLive Team. Aloha and best wishes on your next chapter! :))

Having been a student of CreativeLive since 2015, I can vouch for the level of dedication, excellent instruction and high production value of class content on a variety of topics. However, it is my most recent experience with the program that I write about. Since many institutions have created virtual learning outlets I still love my CreativeLive courses and found accessibility to them very important when it came to generating some of my new work (as a writer) in late 2021. Specifically, I was able to revisit and study key sections from the videos and materials from CreativeLive's class on memoir writing taught by bestselling author, Joyce Maynard. I'm thankful that I had Ms. Maynard's sage advice at my fingertips and not have to deal with online streaming since I owned the course and had it downloaded on my laptop. (This is possible only for purchased courses, and not subscription-based courses.) It's a part of my personal library that I will use again and again as I work to finish and edit my own memoir.

Think they are falling behind...

Been buying courses from them for a few years - off an on - always during sales.
Get the impression lately that they are falling behind - not many new offerings - especially in the area of photography - very little current stuff on new mirrorless cameras and drones - some of the courses date back quite a few years - they seem to be always running sales.
Methinks that the competition from YouTube is taking its toll - wouldn't be surprised if they are acquired.

Disgusting company. Buyer beware.

Disgusting company. Firstly, I hate that they auto renew and don't even send you email reminders in case you want to cancel. Secondly, they double charged me with this auto renewal. Now I have to wait 7 days for customer service to even respond to me. Buyer beware.

Awesome

Awesome - love their videos, and if you get an annual subscription on offer, it works out as good value for money, even if you only complete a few courses in the year.

Enjoyed that everything was explained in detail, giving enough time.

As a complete beginner

As a complete beginner, I bought a quick start course by John Greengo, to learn how to use a camera that I had just bought. It was the best thing I did. The course was easy to understand and I learnt more in the first hour, than YouTube videos had taught me in the previous two weeks.
The only thing I regret is that I didn’t get the course sooner.
There are also free on air videos and you can also choose a free lesson of the day. Strangely, I can only find these on my iPad rather than on my laptop, but that is probably my incompetency.

Bad customer service.

Bad customer service.

I had a very bad experience with the customer service of this company. The senior member didn't read properly my questions just providing me standard answers and showing a lack of knowledge of their system.
4 days to have the solution to my problem and in the meantime the deal I was trying to purchase expired so I couldn't take the course at a discounted prices.
He also ignored my requests of escalation and to speak with a manager to complaint about how the ticket was being dealt with.

I certainly won't purchase courses for hundreds or thousands of dollars if that's the level of help I will have in case of issues.

Never felt this way with other companies.
