I received a subscription for crave tv…

I received a subscription for crave tv from virgin plus. Ok. I used it once in a while. Now of course they have switched all movies to french, in an attempt to force me to upgrade to Starz. No chance. I never wanted the subscription in the first place. Please also beware of Netflix. I had a bad experience with them also.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. We purchased a subscription with the TSN sports, because the website made it seem they had a certain premier league football game when they didn't. When we signed on and tried to watch the match and it wasn't streaming, we immediately cancelled it.
We then emailed them to try to get a refund. First of all, the email bounced back and your only option is to then go into a live chat.
The person then kept refusing to refund because apparently they have a 0 refund policy. I have never heard of anything like this before and to be honest I'm not sure how it's legal given that we cancelled it and contacted them within an hour of purchasing. Absolutely terrible company ethos. Avoid at all costs.

Their customer support is awful. I was helped by someone named Richmond. They charged me twice for the same subscription on the same account and did not want to provide a refund.

Moreover, they acted rude, and it felt like they were personally trying to keep the money. There was no intention on their end to solve the issue, only to explain to me why I was mistaken for requesting a refund.

I've never seen such fraudulent activity. I disputed one of the duplicated transactions and immediately canceled Crave.

Absolutely ridiculous that they have a ton of movies on Prime and yet most are in French. And turns out, most of those movies aren't available on any other subscription. Not only that, you typically don't find out that the movie is in French until you start watching it. Absolutely GARBAGE company, subscription, and useless. Not to mention expensive for what you get. If you are thinking about getting Crave DON'T DO IT.

Same as TV watching

This subcription is exactly the same thing as watching TV too many adds for 15$ a month or no adds for 25$ a month which is exactly what I pay for my cellphone bill each month soooo this is absurb - honestly go back to TV watching with more add then content and it is the same thing just dont borther with this one and for great shows like GoT/HotD just buy the serie when on sale you'll have your money worth for at least but not with this subscription you won't

Premium subscription scam

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my Crave Premium subscription and to confirm that I am cancelling my subscription effective immediately.

I am paying for your Premium tier, which is marketed as an ad-free experience. Despite this, I have been shown promotional content before and during movies. This does not align with what I reasonably understood I was paying for when subscribing to an “ad-free” service.

This is not acceptable. The expectation set by the Premium plan is clear, and the experience I received does not match that expectation.

Way to much adds

Way too much adds! It's crazy! I can have 2 minutes of adds every 3-4 minutes of watching a show. Even when you rewind or fast forward they'll stick you with another 2 minutes of adds, so sometimes you haven't even started to watch your show but you've seen 3-4 minutes of adds. And the platform never remembers where I'm at in a show which is also frustrating) so I always have to find my way back where I was, and again, while doing so they stick me with even more adds to watch, it's insane. I understand I pay for the pack with adds, but this is just way too much.

... All of it in 1 episode. Cancelled my subscription the same day. I recommend MAX with vpn instead

Would have reviewed negative if possible.

When signing up there is no mention of only certain devices that would allow such a subscription.

When trying to speak to someone kept being told no refund policy over and over.

My issue is it is not stated that crave cannot be used with rogers box... or ps4 sign in. and multiple other devices I saw after signing up.

Only way to watch anything if you sign up from their website is via cellphone which is less then Ideal. And not everyone has a cell phone.
How much money have they taken from other individuals.

If I had known I would have signed up via Prime video etc. which they provided for the same price.

I felt they had a variety of shows that would be worth watching which is why I signed up.

On a regular basis iv seen subscriptions more then cost of tv ad on via rogers cabel etc. So I thought it was worth trying.

After noting it is not eligible to watch on any device I owned except a cell phone I canceled.

I was told multiple times after speaking to representative via phone and through chat nothing can be done my money is gone..
After the representative asked me all devices I had.. I kept being told not compatible
I do not think signing up to crave when a good population of people would not know this is okay.

An Annoying Streaming Service

The commercials are too long, too frequent, and too repetitive. When I stop watching before the show is finished, it often continues in the wrong place, and I have to endure a string of ads before I can tell I'm in the wrong place. Every other streaming service I have is better for the cost. I only have it for certain shows. If I could find them elsewhere, I'd drop Crave in a heartbeat.
