I haven't been able to log on all month?!? I have been auditioning there for 1.5 years w/out being paid for any of my auditions as they say?!? I think any positive review for them is not legit

Covoco is a great way to do voice overs!

It is a pleasure working with Covoco! Fast, efficient and fun! The set up is great. You have auditions coming in all the time, and if you are selected, right away you get to communicate with the client and get feedback so you can give them changes or whatever they need until the project is complete.

After the project is complete, payment is swift and made to your Paypal account. Everytime I emailed Alan at Covoco, I got an answer very quickly.

I really enjoy auditioning with Covoco and going through the process~

I have enjoyed completing a number of…

I have enjoyed completing a number of projects for Covoco. Only rarely have I encountered any problems or issues, as most projects are easy and straightforward. Sometimes there are large lapses in submitting a draft and when the project is finalized and paid (could be months), so sometimes I feel the expectation can be lopsided in this regard, especially since communication between myself and the Covoco representative can be sparse. I would like for projects to be able to give me (the voice actor) a final copy once complete. This has been hard to acquire, unless I request it. I feel we as voiceover artists should be given a copy of the final project. Otherwise, we have no way to add this to our voice demo reels for future opportunities.

Ideas for Making Covoco Better

Hey guys a few things. 1.) Payment. Talent should NOT have to wait until the project completes to get paid. We should be paid at the longest, in 30 days. I've had projects 6-8 months old and still haven't been paid for. 2.) Raise your prices. I'm not sure how you can make any $$ with VO so prices low. I used your app during the pandemic when things were slow. I get paid $900 session fees and thousands for TV VO in the USA. Even for explainer videos, you should set a minimum of $100-150/per project. How else to keep talent and make $$? VO reads with 2 revisions for $30 isn't worth anyone's time! 3.) Act as our agent in disputes. We as talent have to negotiate. It makes it really hard not to have a firewall. We can easily ruin relationships by demanding what is fair- as far as revisions and payment due dates. 4.) You always pay via "Services" on Paypal. They take a cut of the pie. So we don't even get the full, measly amount most of these agencies are offering for the work. We let paypal take a significant cut.
Overall I have enjoyed some of the work on here. But I have also set standards. I will not read on any audition under $100 any longer.

It's pretty good

My only issue is having to log out and back in between recording and submitting. Other than that it's a great platform.

This website is a scam!

This website is a scam! They just collect people's data maybe to sell it and collect voices probably to use them for AI purposes. Check their terms and conditions and check people's experience on Reddit. It's a ghost website. None of it is real. You'll just flood your email box with email for fictional auditions!

Highly Satisfied!

The communication was great! Both Covoco and the client were on top of their game making sure that needs were met and the project got completed quickly and efficiently. I will definitely continue to work for this company.

Very user friendly.

Unlike other voiceover services I have used, Covoco is very good about keeping in touch and making it easy to contact them with any questions. And they keep the auditions coming.

No problem is too small or too big with support!!…

I was recently having issues with my dashboard and was in communication with support. They were attentive and immediate in their help. They were able to assist me remotely at my scheduling requirements and even though it turned out to be a simple matter, were there to help me through it every step of the way quickly and happily. I really appreciate that the support for us is truly there.

Alan from Covoco is a bot

I’m a voice over artist. I found this site and was surprised how many jobs were posted. I tried applying for 9 jobs and started to wonder why I wasn’t getting any replies.

Perhaps I needed to craft better descriptions to accompany my submissions. Perhaps I needed better sample tracks on my main page. I emailed the support email address or ask for advice and got no reply.

Then I started to get curious about the agencies around the world that were asking for VO talent. There is no Tracy Ellis in Reykjavik, Iceland or super smiley Jennifer Lee in Detroit, USA, or Steve in Dubai. Certainly not sure why so many of these international media companies with varying years of experience all have agents with generic American names.

Then I saw on Trustpilot how many 5 star recommends this place had versus how many actual people got work and how long it took to get paid.

What I found totally shocking was that after sending polite mails about how to improve my presence on the website, and having received no reply, I wrote that I would like to delete my account and they did it instantly. I suspect “Alan from Covoco” is a bot just wanting to pull email addresses to sell elsewhere. Not one human interaction occurred through this site since I signed up, just reminders to apply for new jobs.

Also, no way to change profile pic, enter addresses for non-American locations. Just your email and PayPal address is fine. So yeah, covoco is an email data mining company is what I reckon.

I've submitted more auditions…

I've submitted more than auditions thank I can count, for simple voice work. Not a single gig. I don't have unrealistic expectations as I do land gigs on other sites.

There is simply no way of knowing if anyone every hears my auditions. I've emailed "support" 5 times and have had no reply.

I figured that if I read as many as I can, I would land at least one or two.

It works.

Easy and simple to use platform to to get voice over work. It's a way to expand and get more people to hear your demos. Not a crazy amount of work coming from it but it does help get that little bit of extra exposure to get a job here and there. I've been on it for a year and have got 2 jobs from it, so its worth a try.

I signed up for Covoco a few months ago, made a profile, submitted auditions, and landed a few jobs.

The only criticism regards the length of time in the job process, and communication between myself and the client at points, but other than that, my experience has gone well.

Free Voiceover site, easy to use, and works

I have used Covoco over the past six months or so as a Voice Over Artist to get Voice Over work. I have managed to get a couple of jobs in that time after perhaps fifty auditions, and have got paid for the first so far. The site itself is nice, simple, and really easy to use, with a messaging feature, and quick online help. The work appears to be lowly paid by UK standards, but on the plus side the auditions are very quick, and the site is free! The slightly odd thing is that you can only upload MP3 sound files rather than the WAV format generally demanded by clients.
It is worth a try as you might get lucky, and also get repeat work too.
