Course Careers has been eye-opening and…

Course Careers has been eye-opening and refreshing for me. I completed the Medical Device Sales Representative course. My favourite takeaway was the theory since I have a lot of on-the-job practical skills in healthcare and sales, and this just explains and helps me grasp what the market requires. All modules were clear and easy to follow, although there was a lot to unpack. My main problem is that I live in the Caribbean, and I'm not sure how practical it is for me to find work as a medical device sales representative.

Dated Course & Poor Customer Service

I enrolled in CourseCareers expecting up-to-date, practical training for breaking into tech sales. Unfortunately, the course felt dated and generic, especially given how quickly the tech sales market has changed over the past 1–2 years.

A lot of the material covered high-level concepts that are widely available for free online, and the examples and tactics didn’t reflect what I’m seeing in today’s hiring environment for SDR/BDR roles.

What was most disappointing was the refund experience. I requested a refund within the first month and had completed only a small portion of the course. Despite this, my refund request was denied with no flexibility or partial refund offered.

For a program marketed to career switchers and beginners, I expected more customer empathy and more current, market-relevant content. Based on my experience, I would recommend doing extensive research and exploring alternative (or free) resources before committing.

Hi,

We've recently had two technology sales hiring managers audit the course within the past six months and have made updates based on the latest technology and best practices.

Would you be able to share exactly what material you felt was too high-level or outdated, as this is the first time we've received this feedback from the thousands of students who have graduated from the course and gone on to land tech sales jobs.

We try to align our courses as closely as possible to what employers are looking for in entry-level candidates, allowing our students to land jobs in the least amount of time without learning unnecessary information.

We also offer coaching from industry professionals, allowing students to get unlimited guidance from people actually working in the field. This additional support and guidance has led to many people landing jobs they otherwise wouldn't have been able to through only self-directed learning.

We offer a generous no-questions-asked 14-day refund period, allowing students to go through as much of the course as they like to see if it's for them. If it's not, then they can get a full refund.

We appreciate all feedback on the course. Please email us at support@coursecareers.com to share your feedback on which videos you felt could be improved so we can look into it. Thanks!

CourseCareers for the Win

CourseCareers has been a great opportunity for me. I have struggled with finding the perfect fit for me when it comes to jobs. CourseCareers showed me their IT (Information Technology) couree and I fell right into it. I have spent the past few months studying to get to where I am now. I highly recommend them if you are like me and don't want to spend thousands on college and just want to get the degree for the field. Only downside is the videos csn tend to be a tad quiet, but isn't a deal breaker at all.

Best Value for $500!

This was an amazing course! I took the IT Course and it provides so much value for only $500! It informs you about what to expect from an entry-level IT job, provides labs to develop your skills, and offers detailed guidance on how to land interviews, along with support for your resume and cover letter. In the current job market, it is essential to find ways to land interviews and eventually secure a job offer. This course is a perfect way to do so.

Riddled with typos

I took the Accounting course. For me, it was just alright.

The information in the course was insightful, but the course itself was quite dull and riddled with typos. The course instructor was often stumbling over his words (especially when it came to numbers). If I'm paying $499 for a course, I expect it to be edited and I expect to feel like the instructor knows what they're talking about.

The Prep Exam and the Final Exam both contained way too many typos for a professional course. Some people might not care, but it was very distracting to me and I couldn't help but think, "I'm supposed to be learning from somebody who doesn't even care about their own course enough to spell check?" The course makes you download Grammarly before being able to take the Practice Exam, maybe they should use that.

Also on the Practice Exam, Final Exam, and quizzes throughout the course were questions that suggested referencing the chapters where I learned the information in order to get the answer. You're not allowed to leave the page when taking the exams or quizzes (it's a closed-note test), so that was impossible to do without going back and checking what the actual answer is AFTER getting it wrong. That was very frustrating to have on a closed-note test. I was forced to memorize what Apple's gross income was in 2022 (or whatever the question was) and the only reason I knew the answer was I went back and memorized it after getting it wrong on the Practice Exam.

NOT IMPRESSED with the overall grammar and set up of the course. The rest was fine.

Also, before you reply to this review telling me to contact support at coursecareers.com (had to type "at" because you don't allow email addresses in reviews) to let you guys know where all the typos are, maybe you should look through the course yourself or hire me as an editor. Then (and only then) I would feel inclined to point out your mistakes.

Hi Cody - Thanks for your honest review.

We heard from other students as well that the grammar for the course could be improved, along with some other additions.

We've been in the process of doing a full course revamp and are nearly halfway finished now, with a go-live date currently set for the end of the year.

You'll have full free access to this new, revamped course as a CourseCareers student.

I'd love for you to share your updated feedback for the revamped course once it's live. In the meantime, good luck on the job search, and we’re here to help if there’s anything else we can do.

(Update): The new revamped accounting course is live. If you're interested in going through it, it would be much appreciated if you leave an updated review about it.

Amazing platform!

Amazing platform!
I've been studying the Information Technology course, and while the theory portion isn’t overly long, the best part is how well it helps you truly understand the concepts. You’re not just memorizing; you actually comprehend the material and can explain it to someone else. Unlike other programs that overwhelm you with endless topics and test you on random details, CourseCareers focuses on meaningful learning.

The highlight of the course for me has been the hands-on labs and projects section. They teach you how to complete key IT projects step by step, how to recreate them on your own, upload them to GitHub, and confidently apply those skills without needing to rewatch the videos. It’s practical, career-focused, and makes it easy to build a real portfolio and strengthen your resume.

I also had a technical issue once with the videos not loading, and when I submitted a support ticket, the IT team responded quickly and resolved it. Excellent customer service!

Overall, I highly recommend CourseCareers to anyone who wants a real, hands-on path to start their IT career.

Accounting

Save your money! I haven’t been able to find a job after completing the accounting certification with a business degree to supplement. I took their stupid workshops and I absolutely regret spending this money and wasting so much time on their resume and recruitment services that are bogus. It’s been 7 months and NOTHING!!!

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you haven't had luck landing a job after completing our accounting course.

Would you be able to email support@coursecareers.com with more information so we can better assist you?

Our accounting course specifically prepares people for roles in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Other graduates have found great success landing these roles after finishing our certificate, and you can listen to their experiences on our Success Stories page.

A common pitfall we see is people applying directly to Accounting jobs instead of more entry-level roles, such as those mentioned above.

Please email us, as we'd love to assist you further and help you get back on track to landing your first job in the accounting field!

Best,
CourseCareers Team

Learning Something Everyday

I think this was a great course to learn about your career. I took the tech sale course I thought it was really good the only thing I didn’t like was the book part. I don’t believe books should be apart of the course the information was so great that the books felt forced into the material. Other than that I would for sure recommend this to everybody who are trying to at least get first hand knowledge of the job and your daily duties.

I thoroughly enjoyed the accounting and bookkeeping certificate program. I learned a lot from the material presented. The videos could have included more practice questions. However, it was still an informative course overall.

I landed a job in tech sales with no tech experience or tech degree!

The fact that this tech certificate program is online is one of the best parts. You can learn on the go and with other responsibilities. The tools that you learn are 100% prepping you for the work you will do on the job, from tech terminology to crm and sales engagement knowledge. The books like my fav. How to win friends and influence people and Fanatical Prospecting get you into the weeds of processes and mindset for the tech role.

From Pushing Carts at Walmart to $50K in IT Help Desk

A year ago, I was sweating in the Walmart parking lot, pushing carts and dealing with angry customers. Today, I'm working a comfortable help desk job making $50K a year- no degree, no prior tech experience.

Here's how it actually went down:

1. Why I Chose IT Help Desk • I was sick of dead-end jobs with no growth • Discovered help desk as an entry point where companies actually train you • CourseCareers' IT course taught me the basics (troubleshooting, ticketing systems,
Active Directory) in about 2 months

2. The Ugly Job Hunt Reality • Took me 4 months and 200+ applications to land my first offer • Got ghosted after final interviews multiple times
• Had to work part-time at Walmart while studying and applying

3. What Finally Broke Me Through • Rewrote my resume 5 times before it started getting traction. Started messaging IT managers directly on LinkedIn • Nailed the "tell me about yourself" interview question by tying Walmart experience to customer service skills
