Established in 1980, Countryside Kitchens & Interiors is the brainchild of Shona and Jerry Ponder, the husband-and-wife team who have spent the last 40 years honing their skill for turning houses into homes. In 2016 they welcomed their son Elliot to the business, in 2020 their daughter Susie, and in 2025 their youngest son Cameron, passing their expertise on to the next generation. Supported by a dedicated team of master craftsmen who are equally passionate, Countryside Kitchens design, manufacture and install dream interiors of unparalleled quality.

This is a very avoidable bad…

This is a very avoidable bad experience. The company appears to prioritise taking deposits over delivering a quality product or service. One lie after the other to hide issues dictates the flow and directly impacts your purchase. Communication throughout the process is poor, with delays not being clearly explained or addressed in an honest or timely manner.

The leadership also raises concerns. The directors come across as inexperienced when it came to making important decisions, which ultimately affected the overall service and customer confidence.

While the company presents itself as having decades of experience, it seems that their kitchen offering is relatively new. This gap between claimed experience and actual delivery is hugely noticeable.

The quality of the finished product is not to an acceptable standard. Once painted, significant amounts of filler and remedial work become visible, which undermines the overall finish and durability. For a product of this nature, attention to detail and material integrity should be fundamental.

Based on what is visible in the showrooms for all to see, I would strongly recommend taking time to thoroughly research alternatives and, where possible, view finished products in person before committing.
