Giving private members club vibes. I wanted a pair of teal statement lampshades to tone in with my new teal/leaf living room decor. These lampshades fit the brief perfectly. I have purchased statement lamps from Cotterell before and knew they would not disappoint. Paired my new shades with candlestick lampbases bought elsewhere and they look great.

We visited the Glasgow showroom and were immediately impressed by the beautiful displays as well as the extensive variety of options for bespoke designs. All staff were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient while I navigated combinations of size and style.
Our new central lampshade is a stunning addition to our recently decorated living room and has attracted numerous compliments from visitors. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a unique piece to enhance their decor.

First class customer experience. I was literally in every lamp shop in and around Glasgow. Cotterells had exactly the exquisite large shades I was looking for. I wish I had visited Cotterells first! Great selection of lights and good, helpful service. I’m very pleased with my light. It was straightforward to install and it looks fab.

Everyone I dealt with from walking into reception, choosing the fabrics and then ordering and collecting were fantastic- knowledgeable and helpful and just lovely .

I was delighted to find a lampshade that matched my new curtains but it does not let through much light through the fabric. The standard lamp fits well into my living room but I am disappointed in the amount of light it sheds.

I ordered a black shade with gold insert. When ordering the girl said she would supply a small bottle of gold spray for the white round bit in the middle . When collecting the shade , my husband mentioned to a gentleman , and he just said it’s already sprayed, which it isn’t. Also my other gripe is , paying nearly £300, I would expect it to come in a box , not just handed to me in cellophane .
But I am delighted with the shade, and the girl on ordering was very helpful and pleasant .

Hi - have bought SO many beautiful things from Cotterill over the last 20 years - both their products and service are AMAZING!! However, on visit yesterday encountered for the second time extremely snooty assistant (shoulder length grey hair, Alice band), who made it quite clear that I did not fit HER preferred customer profile. REALLY???? SO annoyed that I no longer feel welcome in store unless said assistant is not preset- would NEVER deal with her again!!

This is a fabulous store with a great selection of lighting and other furnishings. Best thing though is the customer service which was exceptional. A big thank you to Jen in the Glasgow store who researched alternatives to a light we had chosen that unfortunately went out of stock. It's not every day you come across someone so helpful and attentive—thank you for going above and beyond!

There was such a lot of lights/shades to chose from. It was easy to navigate the site. The items arrived within the time scale and were very well packed.

I found their physical shop in Glasgow which is really lovely and filled with interesting and well presented lighting though I didn’t buy anything that day.

Later in searching for a gift I looked at their online shop and found an even wider selection. I bought a Block Black Ceramic Rectangular lamp. The quality is great. Delivery was quick and really well packaged. Unfortunately the selected bulb was missing, but when the problem was identified Niall at Cotteralls sorted it immediately. Strong recommend.

Really excellent customer service. Gave advice before placing the order and even called when shipping to confirm these were exactly the right lights. They’re perfect too.

Impossible to get a hold of customer service and they provide no return address. Avoid this company

The lamp that we ordered was out of stock but the company kept us informed regarding expected delivery date and offered the option of a refund. We opted to wait for our item and it arrived exactly when we were told to expect it. Full marks for customer service and very pleased with our new lamp.

Another purchase from my local store. They have great selection and can alway find something. Went to buy a light and then got lots of other ideas. Ordered a set of drawers and they delivered them yesterday. Customer service and contact great from shop amazing. Would highly recommend.

Lovely cabinet really pleased and the couriers used by cotterells are excellent really lovely would definitely use this company again if I need furniture etc

Couldn't have asked for more, we are really pleased with bedroom furniture, it's chic, designed and structured well, delivered with care, which it should be as it's the customer's money which they have invested in the furniture/furnishings, definitely recommend.
