Three deliveries
After searching for some time for task benches I settled on the model from Corida and placed an order including £40 delivery.
It duly arrived on the arranged date but the driver pointed out to me that it had a few scratched and asked if I wanted to keep it. The scratches weren’t extensive but they were quite deep so I asked for a different one.
Two weeks later the next one arrived and this one had some light scratches that the driver quickly sanded off. That was fine but then we noticed that one of the seat timbers was split leaving a long thin splinter. So that one went back too.
Another two weeks and the third one was fine …for a few days. Then the ends of the thick timbers all started splitting. I questioned the customer service who said this is quite normal and it won’t affect the long term durability of the wood so I have kept it.
It’s a nice bench and feels good quality but I wonder whether the wood would still have split if it was seasoned longer.

We're sorry that the first two benches did not meet the standards you expected. While occasional cosmetic marks can occur during handling and transport, the split timber on the second bench was not to the standard we strive for, and we appreciate your understanding while we arranged replacements.
Regarding the splitting that has since appeared, teak is a natural material that expands and contracts in response to changes in temperature and moisture levels. Small end-grain checking can sometimes develop as the wood acclimatises to its environment and, as our customer service team advised, these are generally cosmetic and do not affect the bench's structural integrity or long-term durability. That said, we completely understand your concerns and appreciate your feedback.
We're pleased to hear that you find the bench comfortable and of good quality overall, and we hope it provides many years of use.

Quality furniture. So well made. Service and delivery was first rate. Supplied by their own drivers so no courier issues.
Shaker Chair - The brass sections go perfectly with my chair Perhaps a little heavy but not to bad. Service was first rate. I have Added a bit of Teak oil myself just to ensure it lasts
