The worst and most unprofessional low-cost airline experience I've ever had
Very disappointing experience with Corendon at Heraklion Airport.
On 22 August, at around 14:30, during baggage drop for flight XR2218, we were asked to weigh our cabin baggage. We have no problem with an airline strictly enforcing its baggage rules – but we expect clear communication and staff to keep their word.
We were explicitly told that our checked suitcase would be held back so we could redistribute items if necessary. When our cabin bag turned out to be overweight, I again asked staff not to send the suitcase away.
It was sent away anyway.
Staff then said they could not or would not bring it back, leaving us no practical option but to pay an additional €40.
During our trip, the Corendon website and app repeatedly failed, making important information such as baggage conditions unnecessarily difficult to access. We also received no helpful baggage reminder by email.
To make matters worse, at the gate our boarding passes suddenly showed “Unable to Board” for no apparent reason. Fortunately, the local Greek ground staff handled the situation pragmatically and allowed us to board without further problems.
Clear rules are perfectly fine. Poor communication, unreliable digital services and not keeping an explicit promise are not.
After this experience: never again with Corendon.

Disappointed with the customer service
We had to cancel our return flight due to my mother-in-law’s very serious health condition. At the time, I contacted customer service by email to ask for additional information, but I never received a response.
Recently, I contacted them again by phone because I need written confirmation of the cancellation for our insurance company. I was told that I would receive this confirmation, but to this day I am still waiting for it.
During what was already an extremely difficult time for our family, it is very disappointing that, as a customer, you have to keep chasing the necessary information and documents without getting any proper follow-up.
The flight itself is not the issue, but unfortunately I am very dissatisfied with the customer service and the lack of follow-up.

It was not possible to give my diet online and on the board they had an vegan meal. So I was happy with it. Thank you. Maybe it is good to have 3 or 4 vegan meals on board.

Flight got cancelled after leaving is in the plein for 3 hours. I was sick for a week after I finally got to my destination. After u cancelled the plane we didnt know what to do and it looked like u didnt know what to do also. Ik was in Schiphol for 5 hours without knowing what to do. It was really bad!!

The service was okay
The service was okay, but I was checking in they told me I have to pay 15 pounds because I didn’t check in online. I told them that should have been communicated earlier if you don’t check in online you will pay 15 pounds. They didn’t even allow me to check in online they said it’s too late you can’t do it now but pay the fee, which I did.

Good morning, only with the LITE/ECO/PROMO tariff should an online check-in be carried out (72 hours to 5 hours before the planned departure), otherwise a fee of 15 euros per person will be charged at the airport.
