I contacted them more than 10 times and got no clear response. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
I do not recommend this service.
I was a loyal Cooltra user in Lisbon…
I was a loyal Cooltra user in Lisbon until three parking fines were charged to my credit card all at once, with zero prior notice.
The fines were issued over several months. Cooltra was notified promptly by authorities each time, yet said nothing to me. Months later, they silently charged everything at once, plus a €10 “administrative fee” per fine. They delayed the process, then billed me extra for managing it.
The deeper problem: dedicated motorcycle parking barely exists in Lisbon. Everyone, including Cooltra’s own fleet, parks on sidewalks. A recent shift in enforcement changed the rules, and Cooltra, as the operator, surely knew before any user did. Instead of warning anyone, they waited and turned it into a revenue stream.
I respect Portuguese law and want to comply. But a responsible company alerts its users, handles fines transparently, and doesn’t profit from its own silence. Cooltra did the opposite.
Used to recommend them to everyone. Never again.

I rented a bike for less then 20 minutes left the bike and ended the ride in a desernated parking area through there app one month later they have tryed take over 150£ from my account. You can not leave these bike anywhere out side of there area as it will not let you end the ride but have now been finded for a bike what was not parked in there area what is impossible to do this is a major scam targeting non Spanish visitors. DONT TRUST THEM. also I rent another bike what did not work at all. It would not let me end the ride and change me for over 15minutes I had to pick the bike up and carry it to another area to be able to end my journey. Total fraud total scam.

They take the award for the lousiest and most fraudulent company you may have ever come across, but the worst part may be the confidence they have in their incompetence. Truly a lousy bunch. Stay far from them.

Be aware of this company and their burglar behavior.
They don't answer to support requests (no phone, no email, no answers through their platform), they lie and they charge you undue amounts from your credit card and since they never answer to anything, either you loose your money or you loose your time and patience trying to recover the amounts through the credit card company. Run!

170€ payed, but no bike, refunded
I reserved a bike for two days, and payed in advance.
Some days before the reservation, I got one mail saying they had no stock for that type of bike and suggested a downgrade refunding the difference. Which I accepted. In the reservation day, I made the check-in, as instructed, but never received the instructions how to use the bike. Tryed all means to contact the company with no luck. So I payed 170€ which never got back, and no bike.
Edit: meanwhile I received the refund of the downgrade. Now let's see about the other refund.
Edit 2: the remaining part of the refund was made.

I put one star because it is not possible to put minus -10. They are a scam, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. On 1st June THEY HAD A PROBLEM with the APP, it didn't work, I parked temporary, (just 5-10 minutes in a spot) to follow with my route, then the APP didn't work again for more than 1 hour, so I COULDN'T MOVE the bike, THE bike apparently was towed away and now they claim to me 122€ for the expeses plus the fine of 50 euros. And it is IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT THEM, jus menace with emails to me taking further procedures against me.
SO DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL, JUST FOR YOUR SAFETY.

I use the sharing service in Barcelona and other European cities. I really enjoy renting a scooter in Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Milano, Madrid or Barcelona using the same APP.

Never rent with this company
Never rent with this company — or at the very least, make sure to take detailed photos before leaving! They claimed damage that wasn’t there and charged me for it.
On top of that, I picked up the motorbike at 17:30 because my flight was delayed, but they still insisted I return it at 15:00, the time of my original online booking.
Overall, a very bad experience. The manager was also extremely unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with, unlike her blonde colleague who is lovely.
NEVER USE COOLTRA!
NEVER USE COOLTRA!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! I rented a scooter for one day, returned in fine condition (nothing had happened). In the store I had to wait for one hour while they were “checking” the scooter - no one told me anything until I asked what was going on and they told me I would be fined. The guy told me not to worry, because it would be about 20€ fine. They couldn’t agree on how much, so they send me home (after waiting for ONE HOUR) and told me they would contact me the following day with details on the fine. Again the guy told me I would receive the deposit back, minus 20€. The following day, having heard nothing, I emailed them. They replied that I had to pay a fine (not mentioning how much). A few minutes later, they have taken 300€ from my credit card - and they still have my deposit of 200€. So they stole 500€ from me!!!! And nothing had happened to the scooter. UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRICES!!! NEVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE

Unethical business practices, they took the money- did not provide the service because apparently my valid driving license is not acceptable to them, promised to refund and never did. They should be reported.

I request to shut down after a second use for which I was overcharged 15 minutes due to constant app bugs—clearly intentional theft. Over a day, account is still processing. Terrible Customer Service – They Stole My Money!
I'm beyond disappointed with Cooltra's customer service. I was charged €52 due to a malfunction in their app that prevented me from blocking the scooter. On top of that, they charged me an additional €7 the next day without any explanation. Despite trying to resolve this through their chat and by submitting tickets (#1808814 and #1811885), I received no response. It’s clear that Cooltra doesn’t care about their customers—just about taking their money. They’ve lost me as a client forever. Stay away!
Cooltra puts your life at risk
Just had one of the scooter shut down while I was in the middle of a very busy road with cars honking and driving by.
No means to contact someone urgently and was left hanging for hours.
I am appalled as was left in a situation that could have resulted in a terrible accident and was not given any support. Be very careful when you take Cooltra it is at your own risk and peril!
Great experience and great staff in Menorca
The software on their new iPads had a hiccup at the booking so we had to go with the manual process. The staff accidentally booked the 200e deposit for the rental from my card instead of blocking it. Had to contact cooltra customer service 2 weeks later to initiate the return. All worked out well

I tried to register but never been able to. It’s been more than 48 hours. I tried to contact them by chat, never got a simple reply other than the usual « you’re important for us » and « an agent will contact you shortly »… so frustrating. We ended up renting from another scooter service. Now we are leaving the city, didn’t get any ride from them, but they have all my personal information. Worst service never experienced… do not do business with them…

I rent a Cooltra scooter in Barcelona and had the best experience ever, from finding a free vehicle via App to locking and closing the ride. The scooter is comfortable, easy to ride and fast in the trafic.
The worse scooter rental EVER
The worse scooter rental EVER: dusty bikes with this dirty leg cover, you are asked to perform a number of action to avoid charges, park in certain spots in a certain manner, take pictures of your park.. just missing you to sing a song while dancing.. this is just ridiculous.. why you do not dedicate to another business and spare us such pain.
