Read the reviews as I they’re horrendous. Everything that is written happened to us. He took several thousands of pounds of us with false promises and every excuse you can imagine. If it wasn’t for the Nat West ban k I don’t know what we would have managed as they refunded us the money within 2 weeks. Also we wouldn’t have coped if it wasn’t for our son taking on the responsibility. He even went to see David Waxman and his sidekick Caleb and he was still given bare faced lies. You will not get your delivery if you deal with this company. We dealt with them 2023/24. Take a look at his company on Gov.

I had some shutter fitted in 2020 by cool shutters a guy called David Waxman came to measure up and give me advice. When the fitter was fitting the shutters I had to stop him as the workmanship was horrendous he was leaving large gaps fitting shutter not in line basically made a cock up of the whole job . I emailed David to explain he advised me he would send a fitter to repair this was back in 2020 . I was sending emails regarding this work for around 2 years to another guy called Caleb as David Waxman wouldn’t speak to me no longer , when the fitter arrived he advised me that all the shutters need replacing as they were cracking and warping again I was sending emails and got false promises until I sent an email a few months ago to find that I had been blocked so it’s 4 years since I had these shutters fitted by cool shutters and they are far from cool I have to look at these every day and now they have changed there number don’t even know if they exist anymore but if your thinking of using these guys don’t bother as as soon as they take your money they don’t give a toss I am now looking at legal action

I cannot see where these five star reviews are coming from, our experience was in 2022/23 so quite a while ago now and it was as appalling then as it is now. We were given a 12-14 week delivery date, 10 months later after being told stories of how they were being held in a port in a container to they were coming by train from China ( a possibility I know) we finally had them fitted. I was so relieved after a ridiculous amount of stress that I didn’t write a review. As others have said, an awful company, don’t give them any money, get another company even if they cost you more, it’s worth it for your mental health

We had the same situation, firstly waited for 3 months before chasing then so many excuses it was comical. The company then moved there in coming calls to a third party reception company which tried to absorb the constant calls and order chasing. I phoned everyday for 4 weeks and I mean every day, it was clear nothing was going to happen despite the efforts.
Now this is where you might be able to claw back your deposit. If you had paid your deposit via a credit or debit card you are entitled to file a complaint to your bank to challenge the non receipt of goods. THIS INCLUDES BANK DEBIT CARDS, make sure you are able to prove all receipts with photo copies and have clear line of events diarised. The Bank is obliged to refund the deposit on a temporary basis until they are able make contact with the vendor who would be forced to return the deposit if can directly. Only then the temporary deposit is returned back to the bank. In this case the company has vanished albeit still trading so its highly unlikely Cool Shutters would be able to act. The more Bank investigations the more legal weight presses on Dave Waxman and his merry men. Ultimately this will lead to a conviction for trading without the intent to supply (5 year prison sentence if proven guilty). i hope you are all able to find a refund through this method, not a lot of people are aware of this protection offered by banks.

I am in the same boat as many other people. I paid a deposit in February last year and was given a lead time of 14-16 weeks as the blinds are bespoke and also an unusual shape. I started chasing the company once the
16 weeks passed and eventually managed to speak to someone who was very apologetic and said there had been a clerical mistake and for some reason, the order had never gone through to the manufacturer. However, he'd spoken to them now and they were going to fast track my order and Cool Shutters would look at giving me some kind of discount on my final payment by way of apology. Bear in mind I had used this company in the past and had been pleased with the service and the quality of the blinds and I REALLY wanted the new blinds, so I said okay, I would wait another 8-10 weeks. Another 12 weeks go by and still no sign of the blinds. When I start chasing again, I get no response at all this time. I've tried calling and emailing on a regular basis. And this morning my latest emails have just bounced back. I fear this company is going into liquidation and we are all going to lose our money. What is unforgivable - and fraudulent - is that they continued to take people's deposits knowing that they weren't able to deliver. And they also blatantly lied to me about the clerical error. There was no clerical error. They were merely stalling for time.

Should be an option of zero stars. AVOID! Ordered shutters in August, told 14 weeks lead time, had zero correspondence, ignoring emails. Just ghosting me (and everyone else that has ordered from them in the last six months by the looks of it). Deplorable company. I of course have reported to Trading Standards. Hoping others will do the same and they get shut down. How they can continue to take people's deposits, we're talking thousands of pounds across all the deposits they have taken, and not follow through with the product is disgusting, and quite frankly I don't know how they sleep at night. What disgusting human beings. SCAM!!!
Avoid at all costs, save yourself money
Currently pursuing County Court claim for refund of deposit. Company stated they have "lost" goods and not refunding money paid. Wondering if they even ordered them. Multiple complaints against them for taking deposits and not supplying goods. Hallmark of a scam or company trading while insolvent.

As with many other reviews here the service has been absolutely appalling and I have still not received my order or had any communication. I placed my order on 22/03/23. I am beyond disappointed as I used the company several years ago and had a super experience. However, I am now being completely ignored. I am going to try and claim my deposit back via my bank. Avoid!
Ceased Trading
This company took my deposit last Aug and informed me the shutters would be installed by Nov. The company will not return my calls despite chasing them over 8 times. Companies house says last year tax return wasn't filed. A remote receptionist answers the phone who doesn't work directly for the company. I have a feeling deposits will be lost.
Shambolic Customer Service -
Shambolic organisation. Ordered and made paymnet for shutters on 30th June and started chasing after 16 weeks as they had informed of 12-16 week lead time. I was told a pack of lies by the installation co-ordinator on two separate occasions.
Fast forward to December as I provided them a level of good will in case there was issues with shipping as I'm aware these things can happen. Left 12 messages alone just today 20.12.23 and no call back. emails sent to 2 separate emails for weeks and no response.
Clear to see from reviews from past 6 months there is something going on as so many similar experiences.
In addition when you do make contact via their telephone number the people that answer the phones are a third partner answering service that go by the name of Asset Services Limited based in Dorset according to one of the 15 agents i spoke to today.
the only response or power they have is we will leave a message and that message never gets through or David or Caleb never make any contact with there customers.

I hope other people see the Trust pilot reviews before ordering from this company. My parents who paid a 50% deposit in March and have still not received the blinds. They have repeatedly chased customer service to no avail which has caused them so much stress. Unfortunately they did not pay with a credit card and now have likely lost this money which they worked so hard to pay for. Abysmal company!
DO NOT ORDER SHUTTERS FROM THIS COMPANY
Same problem as everyone else recently. Ordered shutters in April, told 16 weeks for installation, paid a £1500 50% deposit. Continually chased updates since the summer and they never provide details. Was told they were shipped in August but they have no trace of where the delivery is. They are now ignoring any phone calls/messages and never call back. Paid my deposit on credit card so now going through the bank to try and get a refund. Do not use this company.

Ordered my shutters on 4 July, was told they would be fitted within 14 weeks at most. They have still not been fitted. Since paying a deposit of 1k, I have not had a single phone call or correspondence from Cool Shutters, this is despite me calling them on multiple occasions, leaving voicemails and sending emails. I have raised a claim with my credit card provider to reclaim my deposit.

One of the worst companies I’ve had the misfortune to do business with. DO NOT GET YOUR SHUTTERS FROM THEM!!!!
I ordered some shutters in early 2023 & paid half of the cost as a deposit (over £1000). I was told they would be manufactured in China and it would take 16-18 weeks so roughly end of August/early September. I called in mid August to see where things were up to and was reassured they were on their way. I called every couple of weeks and was told the same thing. I was told that they’d check and come back to me but nobody ever did.
From ordering in April till the end of October, nobody EVER rang me!! I’d ring and leave messages for a call back but it NEVER came.
I emailed my concerns, no response. I put a letter of complaint in the post and asked for a refund, I got no response. Finally I contacted my bank in later October and they took the matter up with Cool Shutters on my behalf . Thankfully my bank was able to get me my deposit back.
I’ve never experienced such bad customer service and customer care.
