I have had calm and helpful support from L & C throughout the whole process of switching provider and remortgaging my flat. I’d never done this before and was so anxious.So, I did some research and L & C were recommended by Martin Lewis. Now that the switch is complete, I can’t quite believe that my nightmare old 2 year, high rate, fixed mortgage is finally over! Thank you Owen & Joe, you have been brilliant.

Efficient and hassle free service
Smooth process using online portal and easy to contact case manager directly with any queries. Appreciated the automatic reminders with progress updates. Highly recommend this service which took all the stress out the remortgage process.

Was recommended a law firm called XYZ…
Was recommended a law firm called XYZ Law, which was shutdown by the SRA a few weeks after my completion.
Now dealing with Land Registry and another firm to correct registration of my new home at my expense.
Just wanted to inform people that they probably do NO vetting of the solicitors they put you in touch with.

We do carry out extensive vetting of all our solicitors on panel, however, in this case XYZ Law's closure by their regulator was not something we were given any notice of.
All your costs should be covered by the SRA's compensation fund (https://www.sra.org.uk/consumers/compensation-fund/), so please, don't go out of pocket on this!
