What is not okay is altering the terms of a plan for clients who have already committed to your services.
Two years ago I signed up for a BASIC plan with 4 locales, 4 environments, and other features. However, CONTENTFUL arbitrarily decided to step-by-sptep reduce the benefits of my plan. At first, they removed one environment—which I reluctantly accepted since I didn’t need all four.
But now, they’ve downgraded my plan to only 3 locales. This is a critical issue because the website I built for a top client supports 4 languages. To make matters worse, the don't provide an option to purchase an additional locale.
The only solution they offer is upgrading to a plan that costs almost seven times more than what I currently pay—jumping from $300 per month to an outrageous $2,000 per month. That’s $24,000 annually against $3,600.
I feel cheated. I feel betrayed. I need to look up the definition of "hoax" to see if this qualifies.
This is the most unprofessional behavior I have ever encountered. I no longer trust this company, and there is no way I’m committing to such an exorbitant contract. My only choice now is to migrate everything to a new HCMS.
Utterly disappointed doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Awful, glitchy - avoid
Unfortunately I have no choice but to use Contentful. If you have a choice - steer clear. Glitchy, cursor jumps around, ranges from bad to unusable. 'Helpful' suggestions from customer service include disconnecting from my home wifi and using a mobile hotspot, or trying a fourth browser to add to the three that it hasn't worked on so far.

I am stuck with a question so I joined the Discord looking for support. First my question was left unanswered and when I approached a few contentful team members privately none of them responded either. Worthless support, limited platform. No thanks!

Frustrating, lots of limitations.
Contentful sounded like an excellent CMS and a powerful tool enabling content managers to produce content for many regions. But it ends up that the Contentful CMS has lots of limitations, for example, the number of content types and the lack of conditional fields. For the price that is paid for an enterprise plan, it is the minimum expected for a CMS.
It's just frustrating.
