I approached Confidence Wills to write a will. I was, surreptitiously, put in touch with a Estate Planning Company whose interest was to sell me the benefit of putting my assets in a Trust in the event of my death and charging me over £1,400 for that. I had not requested that but was caught by the process. Be aware!
Originally I arranged a new will and power of Attorney and paid on 16th July 2025. For various reasons I cancelled the instructions within the 14 day cooling off period and requested a refund of my money. Nothing has been received and they are now ignoring my emails requesting payment. So, BEWARE/BEWARE/BEWARE if dealing with these people.
What an atrocious company. I informed the founder of the death of my uncle back in February and today he was sent a chasing email for his proof of ID documents.
When I complained it was passed off as an automated email regarding an enquiry going back to October 2024.
I would have thought basic competence would dictate systems would be updated with relevant information when it is passed on. Judging from the ‘this was an automated email’ response shows no checks were made to see that same person had already replied in February with condolences.
An absolute shambles of an organisation!
Cancelled a hour before our home appointment and never rearranged another visit wasting our time when we could of gone to a professional company and got our will sorted
