I’ve been a loyal user of Halti products for many years and was always very satisfied with their quality and design.
Unfortunately, the new version of the Halti headcollar is very disappointing. I bought two in the spring of 2025, motivated by how well the older version had performed over the years. Both were used exactly as instructed, on appropriately sized dogs.
After only a few months, the first headcollar broke under the jaw — it was cut by the pressure of the adjustment buckle itself, not by chewing as suggested by the manufacturer. The break is clean and consistent with material tension, not with bite marks. The second headcollar started to fray at the upper strap under normal use.
Both products failed well within the manufacturer’s one-year warranty period. I contacted The Company of Animals directly, but the manufacturer did not acknowledge any issue and instead placed the responsibility on me as the user, despite clear evidence and detailed photos.
As a long-time customer, I find this response extremely disappointing. The older Halti headcollar was far superior in every way — mine is still in excellent condition after years of use.
It’s unfortunate to see a trusted brand show such poor product durability and such a dismissive attitude toward customers. I will hesitate to buy from The Company of Animals again and share this experience so other dog owners can make an informed decision.
