Told the Part Was “Discontinued”. It Wasn’t!
Very disappointing experience. The technician was at my home for about 15 minutes and did not perform a thorough inspection; nothing was taken apart or properly tested. Instead, he quickly looked up the error code and told me the washer couldn’t be repaired because the part was “discontinued.”
I was charged $80 for this diagnosis.
After he left, I contacted the manufacturer myself and was able to locate the exact part without any issue. So not only was the diagnosis minimal, but it was also incorrect.
I understand service fees, but I expect a reasonable level of effort and accuracy for that cost. This felt rushed, dismissive, and not worth the money. I would not use this service again.
