I loved studying with College of Event Management!

I completed a Diploma of Event Management with the College in 2019 and found it life and career-changing. It took me some time to figure out my passion and flair for organising events, so by the time I wanted to study in this area, I was really keen to find a College where I could learn as much as possible while gaining practical experience at the same time.

College of Event Management gave me that and then some. The trainers shared their wealth of knowledge and expertise and we undertook event volunteering and internships that put our learning into practice. It was while volunteering that I realised I also loved volunteer coordination! We also built our own (imagined) event from scratch and were able to 'pitch' our project and ideas to people from the events industry. This kind of learning experience has been unmatched and I still really value all the College staff who helped me start out in my events career.

I'm now working in my dream job and am a Volunteer and Events Coordinator at a small charity. It's all thanks to my study with CoEM!

My experience at the college was fantastic and i am still benefiting from the networks made. The College keeps in contact with past students, sharing roles and opportunities. I have gained Employment twice through contacts of the college and have had a successful events career. I recommend the college to anyone seeking an events career.

College of Event Management is fantastic! Although online learning was harder than I imagined and creating a work-life balance when you work full time as well is never easy, the learning facilitators and study friends you create make it so much easier with their support and knowledge! I've made friends for life through this diploma, and of course, have learnt so much about the event industry. With some volunteering, I feel equipped to take on the world as an event manager.

I value what I learnt and what I experienced through the college so highly!

The college aims to expose students to all areas of the industry through onsite experiences and guest speakers who have years of diverse experience!

After the course the college recommended me to an Agency for a paid internship, I later progressed to an event coordinator with that agency.
While in that role, everything I was exposed to I felt like I had some know-how because of what I was exposed to in the college; this really helped with my confidence in the role and progressed me quiet quickly to running some smaller events!

I should also mention the college is continusly supportive of their students after the course. They check in every now and then to see how your career is progressing and if they can provide any advice. They are also their at any time to answer any curly questions whenever they may pop up.

I truly believe you will not get the same quality exposure, support and know-how if you take any other course through other providers.

This course is created and run by event managers who have countless years of experience in every area of the industry and it shows!!

Attending COEM was one of the best decisions. They teach you everything you need to know to get you set up in the outside world of events. The staff are lovely, helpful and always there for you throughout the course and for years after. Highly reccommend if you are wanting to kick start your events career!

I completed my Diploma of Event Management with CoEM in 2015 and it was seriously the best thing I did to kick start my career in events. The industry experience and master classes by industry professionals set me up to succeed. Now working as an Event Planner for over 5 years at two of Melbourne’s largest and premier event venues, I’m thankful that the information and skills I learnt in this tailored course was relevant and accurate to the industry. I could not speak any higher of this college and if you are considering a career in Events, look no further.

Cannot speak highly enough about the calibre of this organisation and the Event Management course that I did in Sydney five years ago. There is not a day goes by that I do not reflect on and use the skills that I acquired and also the deeper appreciation of the skills of my professional colleagues. The amount of industry knowledge that was handed to me on a silver platter far exceeded my expectations. (Always good to exceed expectations!) Brilliant staff and lecturers experienced, committed and passionate about their areas of competence. Never a dull moment. Go for it - you will not be disappointed.

Starting with CoEM in 2020, during a pandemic, it was hard to predict whether studying Event Management would be worth it. Throughout the whole Diploma, the guidance and support shown from all of the College of Event Management leaders and teachers and all the little life lessons we learnt along the way (having to trust my own judgement) are the major things I've taken away from my experience with the college. Everything I have learnt has helped me get to the next stages of my career and not even two months after graduating, I am a week off starting my first a position as an Event Assistant.

Cannot recommend COEM highly enough! I've recently finished my Diploma of Event Management with Boris and the team and had such an incredible experience. The course is taught by experts in the events field and you learn absolutely everything you need to know to get out in the world of events. If you're considering a course in event management, this is the one to do!

My whole experience with COEM was amazing, all of the content is extremely relevant to the event world today and you learn so many skills you can begin implementing immediately and throughout your whole career! I was very impressed with the level of support and quality of feedback from each teacher in all subjects, they were always available to help no matter the question. I wouldn’t recommend any other College to study your Diploma of Event Management through.

A positive experience overall. The online Diploma course is full of useful content and inspiring projects to set you up as an Events Manager!
