I recently ordered a number of Caran d'Ache pastel pencils from Colin Bradley Art as they offer the full range and because they are very competitive compared to other art suppliers. The process of ordering was very simple and the website is really easy to navigate. The order came through within 3 days. Unfortunately, due possibly to a 'finger error' on my part, one pastel pencil had been replaced with a colour pencil form the Caran d'Ache Luminance range. I contacted them and Steven Bradley responded stating that they would replace the pencil and for me to keep hold of the Luminance pencil. The replacement arrived within 2 days! How good is that for customer service and satisfaction? Their website is good, the ordering process is simple, the delivery is super fast and they really do care about customer satisfaction. Here's a big thumbs up for Colin Bradley Art. I recommend them most highly and shall definitely be ordering from them again.

Order some pastel paper and arrived damaged and bent up. I don't recommend ordering paper from this site if you live in the US. The pad of paper was poorly packaged. It didn't have any type of bubble wrap or padding.

I have been a member of Colin Bradley's site for just under a year and have learned so much that people are asking me to draw portraits and pictures of their pets. Never in a million years did I think I could draw as well as I am and have only been doing it for 2 1/2 years but have really improved since I joined Colin Bradley's site. Remember, you need to practice, have the passion to succeed and the persistence not to quit. Colin Bradley, you rock. He is always adding new art work so you will never be bored.

My recent dealings with Colin Bradley Art have been very positive indeed and I would have no hesitation in recommending them - any queries and they respond very quickly and efficiently.
I am now looking forward to 'getting on with the job' as the saying goes, and using Colin's expertise accordingly.

Excellent service and love the videos

As a painter of oils, I decided to try pastels. I went on the net and tried a few then discovered Colin Bradley. He is an awesome instructor, taking into account he is dealing with beginners to competent artists who want to try something else. You actually think he is talking directly to you. He gives you tips as he goes along, not just speaking but actually showing as he proceeds through the lesson. I am so happy to have chosen him. The customer feedback is within an hour or two. You just can't beat that.
The supplies are very competing and you receive them promptly. Living in Canada I have received the shipment 4-8 days. So peeps do not hesitate to join this company, inexpensive and the rewards are outstanding

I had membership for some time and learnt loads of techniques which I now pass on to my art club, encouraging them to watch Colin's marvellous videos and also to join to improve the basics I show them. Praise must also go to his Son Steve who answers emails almost before you send them!!! He is very helpful with any queries you may have. Mary Parker

This is going to be a bit long, so I apologize, but Colin's lessons have helped me so much that I really want to share the entirety of my experience.

I'm a professional artist and, before taking Colin's lessons, my main medium was graphite. About a year ago, I was itching to get into a color medium, but I wasn't especially interested in any of them. I'm a drawing artist and working with a brush wasn't particularly inspiring to me. I'd received a set of pastel pencils for the previous Christmas, so I decided to give them a try - I'd used colored pencils and thought it would be similar to learn. Yikes! To say that my first forays into pastel pencil were a disaster would be an understatement - they were downright embarrassing! My pastel pencil paintings looked like they'd been done by a child. Nevertheless, I immediately felt connected to the medium, so I didn't want to give up just yet.

As it turns out, what appears to be a very easy medium is a little more complicated than it looks until you understand the techniques particular to it. Thankfully, a quick Google search turned up Colin's free lessons on YouTube; after watching just one, I was sure he could help, so I signed up for a monthly subscription to his website. I can't even begin to express how happy I am that I made that decision; after just 2 lessons, he helped me to understand the techniques I needed to make my drawings look good.

I also jumped right in and took advantage of the free critiques that come with a subscription, which helped me immensely to improve further. After a month on the site, I already started selling my pastel pencil pieces, which have since become even more popular than my graphite pieces. A year later, I still learn something new with each of his videos, podcasts and blog posts and I eagerly look forward to each new project lesson.

The best part is that, with the critiques, forum, etc., I feel supported as I continue to learn and grow in my new medium. And when I've needed to email or chat with Colin or Steve to ask a question, they're very responsive, always getting back to me within 24 hours (usually sooner). It's the best money I've spent on my art career and I can't recommend the site enough, regardless of your skill level (he has lessons for very beginners through advanced artists, so you can grow along with his lessons).

I had been a member for one year ( finishing in February) but didn't renew again till last week. I had forgotten what a joy and privilege it is to be back. Steve is prompt, courteous, helpful and welcoming. Colin, what can I say, I did not know what a pastel pencil was until I stumbled on to one of your You tube clips. You have taught me so much already but I am back for more. Trying some oldies but looking forward to the new pictures as well. People have actually paid me money for my pictures, wow.

I joined Colin Bradley Art in July 2016 and I wish I would have found it sooner. I enjoy listening to the Podcasts which go back 3 years--Colin and Steve are wonderful presenters. I feel like I'm listening to dear friends. I've completed my first pastel pencil drawing following Colin's video instruction and it was fun to see my cat picture come to life before my eyes. I want to learn how to do pastel pencil the best I can and have fun along the way!
