Unable to cancel without ringing up during working hours. When, shockingly, people are working and can't call.
Edit: unsure if the response below from Coffee52 is AI as it's completely irrelevant to my complaint. A subscription isn't a permanent commitment, customers are legally allowed to cancel at any time.

The coffee was nice and it's always good to try something different, we just didn't want to get into a monthly subscription at the moment. Although I couldn't cancel online, I spoke to a staff member on the phone who was very polite and just keen to get feedback on the coffee as well as encourage more people to try the system. Overall a good experience

My wife and I used Vodafone vouchers to get free 2 bags each for just a postage, but her order was cancelled just because we are in the same house :). So she wanted to cancel our subscriptions. Believe or not you have to call them to cancel your subscription!!!! Despite we did cancel our subscription even before we received the coffee beans, Steve, Sales & Retention Advisor of Coffee52 convinced me that their coffee beans were so good (I thought it would be as special as scored more than 85). And he sent me this link to make a review with all his assertiveness. After I tried the beans, I can honestly say it is not a good coffee at all. If I compare the coffee beans which I received from coffee52 with the ones that I bought only £3.08 from Asda (Leon organic coffee light roast 200g normally cost £4.40 without any discount), it would be an absolute victory for Leon.
I give 2 stars because it is not too bad coffee and I get them with only paying the postage.

First of all, my name was typed incorrectly. I wasn’t offended, though I wanted to point it out that occasionally I come across this way if someone feels offended by me or by my email. 🙂
Regarding the coffee, I do not consume alcohol, sugar, or similar additives, and I generally trust my own taste, especially when it comes to coffee. The coffee I received from Coffee52 was not particularly special. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly didn’t feel like something selected by experts.
I fully understand that every company has its own cost and pricing policies. I was simply comparing it to another coffee that was around ten times cheaper and, in my opinion, clearly superior.

The advisor, James Henderson, was very polite and easy to chat with over the phone. He clearly explained that the coffee subscription was new and to provide the most feedback possible to ensure that coffee52 make this product a success. As part of that, he successfully negotiated a better price to allow me to see what other coffee’s Coffee52 have curated.

Quite underhand tactics to get you to sign up for a monthly amount and then make it impossible to cancel. I haven’t even tried the coffee yet, but frankly, I’m not inclined to!

Tried to ring to cancel my subscription but the line went dead, I emailed and they rang me the next morning to sort out the cancellation, the person who called was very polite and friendly and whilst they did tell me about further offers to try and keep my subscription, which is understandable, they were not too pushy and sorted the cancellation straight away when I said that was what I wanted to do still. Very pleased with the phone call back and outcome.
