Claim denied on questionable grounds

Claim denied on questionable grounds – serious concerns about AXA’s practices

I purchased travel insurance from AXA Partners for my mother and paid the full premium in advance, expecting reliable protection in case of emergency.
During her stay in Sweden, my mother suffered a sudden accident (a fall resulting in injury) which required urgent hospital treatment. The costs are substantial and fully documented.
AXA has refused to cover the claim, arguing that the situation is linked to a “pre-existing condition.” This conclusion is highly questionable and not supported by the actual circumstances. My mother had recovered sufficiently prior to travel, was mobile, and able to function independently. The incident was unexpected and not foreseeable.
Denying a claim under these conditions raises serious concerns about how AXA interprets its policy terms and handles vulnerable customers. It creates the impression that coverage is limited in practice despite being clearly marketed otherwise.
As a customer, I find this deeply disappointing. Insurance should provide real protection in emergencies—not be denied based on broad or unclear interpretations after payment has been accepted.
This matter is now being escalated further, including formal complaint procedures and external review.

After suffering a 3 month absence from full time work, due to illness, and still suffering, although having returned “part time”.

I was so disappointed, at a time when I needed support, thinking I had made the right choices, keeping my insurance premiums up to date. Only to be let down!

I received remuneration for only 1 month!

I have other insurances covering “debt”, both of which paid out for the entire 3 months?

My only choice now is to cancel my 242,24,- monthly premium and save it!!

Rat company

This is one of the most unethical companies. Just shameful that you can exist in this times and go with the fraudulent actions and bad business ethics.

I was charged for 2 insurances without realizing that one of them was running automatically on my bank account without any connection to the loan itself. It was automatically added when I applied for a loan, but not got one.

Nobody gave any warning that there is mistake (that I made) with insurance that does not matches with loan.
It was just insurance for nothing. How can that be?

You are idiotic company.
