Unfortunately, when contacting a representative, there is very long wait times and representatives are not as helpful as they should be for several different reasons.
Solid choice for restaurant tech
Honestly, the hardware and software both do what they're designed for. We've had maybe 2 crashes in 4+ years of service that I know of. (We inherited the system when we bought the cafe, and even changing over ownership was pretty painless.) Editing and tweaking the menu is easy either right at the terminal or online. Looking up sales data is quite straightforward. Plays quite well with UberEats and DoorDash. We really haven't had any major complaints.
It can take some time to be connected to an agent, especially if you're in Canada but they start off assuming you're American. But once you get connected, they are very helpful.

Clover and First Data Corp are scammers
Clover signs you up and then signs you up with First Data corp. When Cancelling the contract, Clover only cancels theirs, not First Data and charge the full Cancelation fee. And they tell you that everything is canceled. When you call first Data you are not able to talk to a person. So Stay Away from Clover because they do not take any responsibility . I will have to sue Clover and also change my account. Let them try to sent collection,

Misled by Clover Employee
We were advised by Alex Brousseau, a Clover representative, to purchase a new POS machine with the assurance that doing so would eliminate all fees. Trusting his guidance, we went ahead with the purchase. To our shock, not only was this information completely false, but we are now facing huge fees despite following his advice.
When we reached out to Clover’s customer service, the responses were slow, dismissive, and unhelpful. It is extremely frustrating that a business relies on employee guidance for major investments, only to be misled and then met with poor support.
This experience has been misleading, disappointing, and costly.

These guys are scumbags
These guys are scumbags. Lie endlessly to try to get through to the "owner" without them realising they're already talking to them. Terrible business practices from offshore call centres just money hungry dirtbags. They call 3 times a day one of our locations and despite hundreds of requests for them to stop calling, they continue to call.
What a terrible business, and harassment to say the least. I wouldn't do business with them if I was paid to. We use Square at all our locations and are so much happier. Stay away from Clover.

Worst Customer Service I've Ever Experienced
Absolutely pathetic customer service and your employees are clearly unqualified and careless. Had to call three separate times to get my flex handheld replaced and sent out. Hours wasted on hold and answering the same questions over and over to have nothing ever be done in the end. I was told three times my handheld would be sent out and I would be receiving it the next day but never did. Do you understand we pay you idiots for your service so we can take payments to support our business. How am I supposed to make money if your incompetent employees won't send my handheld?? Also was told I could complete a survey/review of the service I received on the clover website - where is the survey?? I'm sure it doesn't exist considering the endless terrible reviews you would receive if it did. I do expect a call back.

Easy to use, easy to access remotely. Programming is practical and makes sense, dependable.
User friendly
User friendly. Convenient app or online portal to ring in a credit card. I have been using the clover portable machine for over a year and I have never once had to phone for service.
Worst customer service
Worst customer service, unpredictable and high fees, they will do whatever they want, your issues do not matter t them. They just look how much money they can make out of you.

Bad support
At our restaurants, we fulfilled 2 orders received through Clover, filled the orders, customers picked up and when we were closing for the day, saw that the orders were not paid for. Called Clover support and was told that this is not possible. We sent them a screen short of the order shown as open as well as the order form. They said they will evaluate it and get back to me. It is now more than a month, I have made 5 follow up calls to their tech support, each taking more than 1 hour, they confirmed they have the information and will contact me within 3 business days,I am still waiting for their response. As POS are expensive and crucial to a business, will advise you to avoid Clover.

Clover is great for small business!
Clover is great for small business. The device works great, customer service is wonderful, and the ability to store client payment information safely and securely is perfect, and such a time saver. I also appreciate the ability to borrow capital for improvements and expansion in literally a couple of days. Love it!
