Rude, unprofessional, unconscionable thieves

Absolutely awful in every possible way. They increase fees as they see fit at the drop of a hat - and every time an invoice is sent, they send two more, each with additional fees on them that have just been made up covering services that we don't even need or want and didn't agree to. We are trying to exit from them now which is providing both problematic and expensive, as they are charging a £55 exit fee! I find communication with CloudPiper unacceptably rude, they are extremely unprofessional and clearly don't act on any feedback or negative reviews. I have never before had such a bad experience with a company. Avoid at all costs.

Do not use this company Under any circumstances

Do not use this company, I on setting up with Cloudpiper, I repeatedly requested an exchange service, I ended up with some hybrid IMAP service which was down 20% of the time, not great when trying to run a business.

I was then held to ransom as they would not release my own domain back to me unless I paid a whole years subscription which was around £700.

The only good review on here is by Jurgen their own IT guy, you have been warned.

Support ticket responses were slow and often ignored, there is no phone number to call to chase it up.

I have since "Escaped" from them, gone back to MS Exchange for emails, but they charged me £55 to release my own domain DNS controls back to me.

Invoicing and payments

I find CloudPiper virtually impossible to deal with. In the past they have closed my website for non payment of an invoice which was never raised. They ignored requests to contact me. This time round, my invoice was paid the same day it was raised, four days later a different increased version of the same invoice was raised again accompanied by an email warning me that my website will go offline unless the increased value of the original invoice is not paid again.
Don't ever think of ringing them.. It's just an answer machine.

Hi Jim

Sorry but we did send you the login details for you to create a support ticket. Without a support ticket we are not to know if you have an issue unless you have a contract with a service level agreement in place depending on your IT service package. Your invoice was overdue but you did not receive the reminder as it might of gone into spam hence the next months fee was applied.

The phone you rang was the sales but as mentioned a simple support ticket would of resolved your issue as we are an online hosting service provider.

We wish you all the best

Relieved to get away

If you have a problem with your web host it can be very difficult to do anything about it. They can withdraw support and make your website unusable until you pay whatever amount they see fit. We were paying for services that we didn't need or ask for. At the same time such basic features as FTP were locked so that it took 24 hours to upload a file. They will say you get what you pay for. However, we receive much better service now from a much cheaper company. We had to pay £100 to leave because we could only give 27 days notice of termination. We don't have the latest files but it was worth it not to have to deal with them again.

Hi Mark

Sorry you felt this way but why did you renew your service every year for the last 12 years if unhappy? We found it hard to provide database hosting for less then £10 a month with IT support.

Also a service is only ever suspended by our system if money is overdue and no update from final reminders. Our system is automated and if it goes past a certain length of time then like any business the service will expire if left unpaid.

Please note as well that we do not overload our servers with multi users and and the technology behind our infrastructure is constantly upgraded. This always takes qualified staff to maintain this. However we still unsure why you did not move to another supplier if an issue over the 12 years.

We wish you best of luck with your new basic supplier and please be aware if its cheap as security is important today
