Terrible rental company, don't trust them! I was careful for the rental car the whole week but finally I have to pay a 700 euro because of a damage that was not mine... By arriving they ask a 1200 euro deposit, suddenly I have to pay a 55 euro for drop off at the airport. A typical rental company...don't do this!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. FRAUDULENT CLEANING CHARGE (€150) FOR A TINY AMOUNT OF SAND IN THE CAR!

Just returned from a family holiday in southern Spain. We normally use Goldcar, but due to a booking error we ended up with Click Rent just outside Málaga Airport. The initial experience was fine — the car wasn’t the worst we’ve had — and as always, I took extra care of it to avoid any potential claims. Returning the car this morning is where everything went downhill.

Fuel
I was immediately questioned about whether I had a fuel receipt. I’ve never been asked for this before. I explained he could turn the engine on and see the tank was full. That wasn’t enough — I was asked for proof, which I eventually provided via my banking app.

Cleanliness
I was told there was “a lot of sand” in the back of the car. There wasn’t — just a tiny amount you’d expect after a family holiday. I was then hit with a £150 cleaning charge.
When I pushed back, I was told I’d need to drive the car to a garage and get it valeted myself. With a flight in 2.5 hours, this was impossible. I asked for a dustpan and brush — refused. I asked why there were no floor mats — shrugged off. The only option given: pay £150.

Since my return I have read the full contract and it does not state anywhere of a such cleaning charge.

Damage Claim Attempt
I was then asked about a scratch on the wing mirror. I explained it was already there when I collected the car. He demanded photo evidence. He was clearly preparing to add another charge.
Thankfully, my wife found a photo showing the existing mark. I asked why this wasn’t logged on their damage report. Another shrug. The staff member was rude, dismissive, and it felt like a deliberate strategy to squeeze more money out of customers.

Avoid this company at all costs.
This behaviour is predatory, unprofessional, and clearly systematic.
Do not go anywhere near Click Rent.

Everything was good.
The only thing that should be improved is the shuttle bus that connect the airport to the car rental office. It took me half an hour by the time I was at the meeting point to reach the car rental office. Too many people and the bus has few places.

SCAM ALERT — 35 euro "refuelling fee" charged no matter what you do

Be very careful with this rental company: they charge a mandatory 35 euro "refuelling fee" regardless of the fuel level when you return the car. We returned the car with a full tank and were still charged the full 35 euros as per their ridiculous policy — just another way to squeeze extra money out of clients.

Stole my money charged me $45.85 and $79.54 without letting me the reason, not answering my emails as well, you are thieves

I booked a rental car through DoYouSpain for collection at Valencia Airport, but the vehicle was supplied by ClickRent. Unfortunately, the entire experience was extremely disappointing.
On arrival, I had to wait more than two hours before being served. The queue was very long, the process was slow and disorganised, and there was no apology for the delay.
I had booked a Volkswagen T-Roc (or a similar vehicle), but instead I was first given a dirty and dusty Peugeot 2008 that was clearly not in an acceptable condition. After I complained, they replaced it with another vehicle that was still nowhere near the category I had booked. The replacement car was old, had numerous scratches, and the mileage display appeared to be malfunctioning, increasing far faster than expected during normal driving.

Overall, I feel I did not receive the vehicle or service that I paid for. Between the excessive waiting time, the poor condition of the vehicles, the failure to provide the booked car category, the unresolved fuel refund, and the lack of customer support, this was a very frustrating experience.

I will never ever use ClickRent again, and I would encourage anyone considering booking through them to read recent customer reviews carefully before making a decision.

This company is a complete rip-off, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! They're scammers who pressure you into buying their car insurance in every way possible! please don't go.

Avoid ClickRent – Charged us for a dent we did not cause, despite Buying Their "Full" Insurance. My experience with ClickRent in Palma, Mallorca was extremely disappointing.

When we picked up the car on 26 July 2026, we had already purchased full coverage through Booking.com. At the counter, the ClickRent employee told us that Booking.com's insurance was not accepted and pressured us into buying ClickRent's own "full insurance" instead. We were specifically told that it covered everything except the wheels and windshield, so we reluctantly paid for it to avoid any problems.

When we returned the car on 1 August 2026, we were suddenly told there was alleged undercarriage damage. We firmly denied causing any such damage. To make matters worse, we were then informed that the insurance we had been sold as "full coverage" did not actually cover the undercarriage or the roof—the exact opposite of what we understood when purchasing it.

Despite our objections, ClickRent charged $$$$ to the credit card.

At no point were we shown convincing evidence that the alleged damage occurred during our rental. We felt pressured throughout the return process and were left with the impression that the insurance sold at pickup did not match the explanation we were given.

We have disputed the charge with our credit card issuer and have also contacted Booking.com regarding the unnecessary duplicate insurance purchase.

My advice to anyone considering ClickRent:

Photograph and video every inch of the vehicle, including the undercarriage if possible.
Read every exclusion carefully, regardless of what staff tell you verbally.
Be extremely cautious if you are told your third-party insurance is "not accepted."
Keep all paperwork and receipts.

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend ClickRent.

Fue una grata sorpresa encontraros en Sevilla, ya que “la competencia” nos canceló una de las dos reservas sin previo aviso y nos dejó tirados.

Cristina fue un encanto desde el primer momento y supo ofrecerme perfectamente el coche que se ajustaba a mis necesidades y el precio fue muchísimo mejor que el de cualquiera de las grandes empresas. El servicio fue excelente, todo muy fácil y sencillo. Susana, por teléfono, también me orientó con todas las dudas que teníamos, y Daniel, a la hora de la entrega del coche, fue igualmente excepcional.

Tanto Cristina como Susana y Daniel habéis sido fenomenales. Excelente atención y servicio.

I hired a car from ClickRent. Before returning the vehicle, I attempted to refill the tank, but the pump clicked off after dispensing only a very small amount of fuel and fuel overflowed from the filler. I immediately reported this to the ClickRent representative when I returned the car, who told me they would look into it and contact me if any payment was required.

I was later charged not only for the missing fuel, but also an additional handling/refuelling fee that was more than the cost of the missing fuel itself. My issue was not being charged for the fuel, but the additional fee, despite having clearly made a genuine attempt to return the vehicle with a full tank and reporting the issue immediately.

After several emails, ClickRent asked me to provide a receipt and evidence that I had attempted to refill the vehicle. I supplied Apple Pay and bank transaction records, together with a photograph taken at the petrol station.

The final decision was simply to refer back to their policy, which left me questioning why I was asked to provide the evidence in the first place, as it seemed to make no difference to the outcome.

The experience cost me additional money and considerable time, and left me feeling there was no willingness to consider the specific circumstances despite clear evidence that I had acted in good faith.

Car size was a mini van people carrier (booked 7 seater) which worked well for 6 with 4 cases. Collection took a bit of time, with online forms in Spanish to fill out. TAKE A VIDEO/PHOTOS on collection all around the vehicle, as upon drop off I would have lost my 2K eur deposit for an undocumented dent if I hadn’t had video proof it was already there.

Great service at ClickRent Barcelona Airport. The rental was reasonably priced, and both pick-up and return were easy with the shuttle service. The car was nearly new and had very low mileage. I would happily use them again.

Scam alert
They have ended the contract due to their car breaking down and have refused to replace it when we have full insurance. Avoid this scam company

Our arrival at Tenerife airport was deeply disappointing. The shuttle bus meeting point was poorly indicated, and the instructions provided were ambiguous. All airport staff directed us to an outdated location. When we called for help, another family was hung up on, and it took four calls between us before receiving any assistance, which was still vague. The driver who eventually collected us seemed irritated, and didn’t provide much help with baggage and seating.

At the rental desk, the disappointment continued. We were charged extra to add a codriver, which wasn’t clear in the initial booking phase. The insurance options were equally unsatisfactory: pay around 250 euros (non-refundable) plus a 250 euro deposit for coverage, or provide a 1000 euro deposit and assume full liability. We chose the latter, though committing such a large amount felt unnecessary.

The return process was the only positive part. The vehicle inspection was efficient, with no extra charges, and the shuttle driver was helpful with our luggage.

Overall, the poor communication, unprofessional phone support, and unexpected costs left us disappointed. The smooth return did little to offset the frustration of the initial experience.
