Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 42 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained about unexpected high medical bills, aggressive financial demands, and confusing payment procedures. Patients also mentioned lengthy appointment delays, inadequate communication, and severe difficulties reaching administrative staff or receiving return calls. Many visitors felt treated like mere numbers rather than individuals due to poor coordination between departments. Though some patients encountered significant challenges, a few reviewers were genuinely happy with the attentive care and supportive staff. These individuals appreciated the professional medical teams, efficient service, and positive interactions during their successful treatments. Such customers expressed deep gratitude for the dedicated professionals who provided wonderful assistance.

The most incompetent doctors ever

Someone flagged me as a drug addict even though the doctor admitted to my face that they have no proof of this and my tox screens are negative. I’ve been lied to repeatedly by doctors about procedures and medication side effects. My autoimmune disease which causes chronic pain is written off as “depression” and the doctors treat me like I’m hysterical and have “no reason” to be in pain while also acknowledging I have these conditions. Lastly, they keep trying to push me to pay for their “functional medicine” clinic which is a complete and utter scam but it’s making them millions of dollars so they don’t care how effective it is they are just preying on desperate people for their money. How is any of this legal?

Disappointment

I was Transferred via squad to Cleveland clinic main campus due to compressed spinal cord . I had foot drop, incontinence,my foot is numb and tingly I was in alot of pain especially with walking. I sat in the ER for almost 8 hrs. I saw a doctor from spine team an assembly was done. She said she would talk to her team. HOURS later the ER doctor came to tell me that I was not a candidate for surgery and to see their pain clinic. I was upset that the spine doctor did not come down to ER to tell me this. I asked to have someone come down to answer some questions I ended up getting Medrol pack and to take my gabapentin for the pain. This was a waste of time and money . Now I have to wait weeks to get relief for the pinched nerve.

This is a TERRIBLE Healthcare System!!!

This is a TERRIBLE Healthcare system!!! I have been trying for WEEKS to get a referral sent to my skin doctor for surgery... Finally on Sept. 20th they told me one would be received by the surgeon within 48 hours. It is 8 days later... and still nothing. Cleveland Clinic confirmed today that the referral wasn't sent until the 26th... However the surgeon's office still hasn't received it!!! Meanwhile... the cancer spot is growing rapidly... TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! I would NEVER recommend Cleveland Clinic!!!!

Awful!

Awful but I love my Doctors. My complaint is about the nurses at the ER and when I was there for 4 days main campus! Most were rude, and few didn't even wear gloves to flush out my IV at the ER and when I was admitted, some didn't wear gloves changing out my iv. Had to contact the ombudsman's office,
Second time I had the issues they never contacted me back.
When my elderly mom was in the ER at Fairview the nurse touched shoes then took my moms blood, I had to say something also no one called us she was admitted, they were supposed to give us update! when we call the ER I was told she was admitted so when we called to see what's going on one called back! 8 hours later found out Where she was and for what! Se had to keep callling attending nurse didn't call back!
Again no one responded about this! When I filed!

Update on my problems with this…

Update on my problems with this worthless hospital. Once again no return phone call. I did call my Dr office to try and work this out. I WAS INFORMED DR LEWIS IS LEAVING CLEVELAND CLINIC, CCF SENT NO LETTER TO LET PATIENTS NOW OR GOVE US A CHANCE TO FIND NEW DR. THE BOARD REALLY NEEDS TO LOOK INTO ALL THE NEGLECT THIS HOSPITAL CAUSES TO THEIR PATIENTS. RECONSIDER EVER GOING TO CCF, I WOULDNT TRUST THEM TO TREAT A COLD. IF YOUR HAVING SURGURY YOU BETTER MARK YOUR OWN BODY PART BEING OPERATED ON, WITH ALL MISTAKES BEING MADE ON CHARTS, GOD KNOWS YOU COULD WAKE UP A AMPUTEE.

Poor response in medication refills

It's very difficult to get a hold of someone. I did not get a call back. There was nothing called in to a local pharmacy for emergency. Nothing was faxed back to optima RX regarding my prescription refills. There's not an explanation or justification for their lack of concern!

Dr. Punia and his front office staff are TRASH!

Typicall Cleveland clinic is good to me. Specifically Dr. Punia and your staff, you should be ashamed of yourself! You’ve refused to respond to me and get me my medication for over a month now which has put me out of work an outrageous amount. I’m outrageously sick. You telling me that I’m making it up and lying about not getting my meds and”OBVIOUSLY you’ve done your job and the prior authorization went through so you’re not telling us something here.” As I just spent $300 out of pocket to get my medication that wasnot approved because you refuse to answer my messages and do your job. So yeah. You can go screw yourself! I will be hostile with you as you belittle me and tell me I’m lying. Go to hell!

Absolutely do not get an EMG at…

Absolutely do not get an EMG at Cleveland Clinic. I had gotten multiple EMG’s done prior to coming to the Cleveland Clinic (from Indy area). They made me made a whole separate trip back to see them to get their own EMG. After driving over 6 hours on my 2nd trip to see them, they had a resident do my EMG. Of the 4 EMG’s I’ve received, none were more painful than the one at Cleveland. The residents didn’t know what they were doing and kept hitting blood vessels and nerves throughout the multiple hour long session. I was bawling my eyes out, telling them that I had done this before and they must be doing something wrong, and they asked if I wanted to stop in the middle of the EMG due to my extreme pain, which they made seem like was my fault and was out of the ordinary. I refused to end it early, saying that I came all the way here for this and that the cleveland neurologist said it was necessary for further patient care. I somehow survived the full EMG, but was very unhappy with how things went. Come to find out, on my EMG report, they wrote something like “unable to finish EMG due to patient’s amount of pain,” which was a complete lie. And even after all of that, their EMG said the same things as my other EMGs and the neurologist still didn’t have any answers for me. The neurologist was also a medical gaslighter, so beware of that. If you are an EDS patient, I wouldn’t go here. I told them I had EDS and they still brushed it off and didn’t consider how EDS could be causing all my symptoms. Complete and utter waste of time and money.

I went there as an emergency with pain and sat for over an hour for someone to see me, and was told they had no intention of helping me and walked out of the room. These people are incompetent fools, whose intention is just to make money.

Colonoscopy procedure

Two thumbs up. Dr Al-Jiboury did an excellent job of listening and communicating. She was both courteous and competent. The entire staff (anesthesia and RNs).' functioned well. The patient care could not have been better. A colonoscopy is not fun (especially the prep) but necessary for your health.
Thanks to all. (For Cleveland Hospital at tradition, Pt St Lucie Florida) For James Kohl
