I’ve been an on-and-off ClassPass user for a few years. Recently, I think I’ll cancel for good. ClassPass offers fewer options for higher and higher prices. If you need to reduce your membership (inju... See more

I am writing this to warn other consumers in the UK about ClassPass's deceptive business practices.
ClassPass is currently listing "Phantom Partners" on their platform—gyms and studios (such as Anytime Fitness locations) that have NO actual commercial partnership with them. I booked and paid for a session, travelled to the venue, only to be told by the staff that they do not work with ClassPass and my booking was invalid. This is a clear case of misleading advertising and misrepresentation.
When I confronted their customer service, they attempted to hide behind their "internal terms and conditions" to deny a full monetary refund, which is a direct violation of the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Under British law, services must be "as described," and consumers are entitled to a refund to their original payment method when the service is unfit for purpose.
Do not trust their gym listings. They are holding customers' money hostage by refusing to refund unused credits caused by their own data failures. I have reported this to Action Fraud and the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority). Avoid this platform if you value your time and money.

I had a really positive experience with ClassPass customer support.
The team responded very quickly, communicated clearly, and handled everything in a highly professional and friendly way. What stood out most was their solution-oriented approach and the fair resolution they offered.
A special thank you to Renela for the efficient and genuinely kind support — this level of service is not something you come across often.
Highly recommended, highly appreciated and definitely a reason I would consider using ClassPass again in the future.

I had such a great experience with Shem from ClassPass, he was truly an angel. I’d been quite stressed trying to figure out how my membership worked but he was incredibly patient, kind, and thorough in walking me through everything. He took the time to address all my concerns and made sure my issues were fully resolved.
It’s rare to come across someone so genuinely helpful and attentive. I really appreciate his support and the way he turned what was a frustrating situation into such a smooth and positive experience. Thank you Shem!

Classpass is a good apps for thriving business like salon, spa, beauty studios, pilates, gym, etc. It connects the business to the new clients. Made bookings easier.

Extremely poor experience with ClassPass.
Over £100 was taken from my account and, despite raising this, they’ve refused to refund or properly resolve it—falling short of basic UK consumer protection standards.
What’s even more concerning is their impact on the industry. Studios are paid minimal rates per booking, which undervalues instructors and puts real pressure on small businesses trying to survive. It feels like the platform profits while the people delivering the service are underpaid.
Customer service is dismissive, and the review system adds unnecessary stress on instructors’ livelihoods and mental health.
Cancelled my membership and would strongly advise others to avoid.

Switched to ClassPass corporate plan thinking it offered better value due to lower cost per credit. In reality, I’m being charged more credits for the exact same classes.
Same studio, same class, same time my friends are paying ~5 credits while I’m charged 7–10 credits.
I’ve compared across 3 different friends and we even book the same classes together, so this is not due to timing or demand fluctuations.
This effectively cancels out any “cheaper credit” benefit and results in me paying more per class.
This looks like price discrimination based on plan type, which is misleading when the plan is marketed as a benefit.
Very disappointing experience.
To update their response here
They’re saying:
* Corporate plans use dynamic pricing
* Prices can vary based on company, plan structure, and eligibility
* So different users can be charged differently, even for the same class
* They claim it’s part of the model, not intentional discrimination
* Offered to review your plan details
In plain terms:
They’re admitting pricing can vary by user/profile — just framing it as “normal.”
