Very satisfactory service. Good job, well done. Customer Service was exceptional. Easy to contact too.

The process took quite a long time because there appeared to be difficulties with one of City Energy’s installers. However, the crew that eventually arrived were definitely worth waiting for. The three of them were all friendly, polite and efficient; it took less than four hours to get the panels up, the electrics connected and for us to be told how it all worked. City Energy’s staff too were all on the ball. I don’t know exactly what happened in our case but I doubt that other customers will have to wait so long. Very happy and nice to see the in-home display unit not having to work so hard!

Happy with the solar panels but the service has been abysmal, I’ve had the scaffolding up now 3 weeks after the work was completed, I’ve called 3 times and get no clarity on when it’s coming down, the guys that installed the panels made a massive hole in my exterior wall and my email complaints been ignored twice for over a week now, they moved a load of tiles of the roof that are hanging there dangerously and again my email complaint ignored. So now sat here with scaffolding up, a massive hole in the wall hoping a tile doesn’t land on me

Applied for a Green Homes Grant through City Energy Ltd whom I found listed on the Devon Council website. They sent a Surveyor who did all necessary checks. City Energy told me funding had been approved and I was eligible for Loft Insulation and PV Panels and they were assembling a Spreadsheet with all dates etc. I called them to say that for the following 3 weeks I was free except for one day. That was the day that the Scaffolding guys turned up, and couldn’t get into my property. Next day, I called City Energy to complain and was told the Scaffolders would be back in a few days. A couple of days later, the scaffolding went up and the loft was filled with Insulation. Wow I thought! Now we’re moving. The PV Panel team turned up only to say that I had special slates which needed to be ordered. This delay took 2 weeks with me calling City Energy almost every day to get a date for completion. Many times I couldn't even get through. Meanwhile I was receiving calls from Electricians saying that they were on they way to wire up the panels. I found that it was easier to progress the Contractors than trying to get an answer from City Energy. Eventually the PV Team turned up and informed me that following a meeting with City Energy, they could not fit the minimum requirement of panels. So, the PV Panel project was scrapped. I’ve spent almost 5 weeks with Scaffolding around the house, not knowing whose turning up or when, no available help from City Energy. Their Surveyor didn’t notice that my Slates were unusual, or that my roof would not take the Minimum 8 Panels required. All in all its been a dreadful nightmare. And now 5 days later, City Energy still hasn’t contacted me to apologise for their wrong assessments and rubbish customer relations. I’ve given 1 star for the Loft Insulation Team.
Ps I still have 4 PV Panel rails 3 mtrs long on my property which needs removing.

If you are considering the installation of solar panels, I can highly recommend using City Energy! So let me share with you why. The Customer Service team were polite, informative and any specific questions I had, were answered efficiently. Matt the surveyor arrived as arranged, explained the process in fine detail and was extremely professional. The service provided did not end here though. I was able to communicate any further questions I had before the installation and always received a prompt response, even out of hours on one occasion. That is what you call an above and beyond service! The Scaffolders arrived on time, erected the scaffolding with minimal disruption to my working day and the cats were highly delighted with their new playground! Within the hour, the solar panel team arrived to complete the install. Again, this was carried out smoothly, I was able to continue working throughout the install and I could not have asked for a more polite and professional team to complete the job. Having an electric key meter, I could visually see the benefit straight away! Overall, I would like to thank City Energy for such a fantastic experience.

I found that the process was excellent though out the installation was completed within two hours from start to finish The work force were very knowledgeable of the process and would recommend them to anyone rating 10/10

First class service, everything works just fine. Matt Williams, the surveyor explained everything and installation and setup followed. No problems.
Careful use of the system has substantially reduced our electricity bills.

Our experience with City Energy was simply the best,from start to finish.Cannot fault their work.Would certainly recommend them.

Total con, the only people to benefit are the suppliers who get paid by the Government. I
Complained several times, not 1 reply.
The whole outfit couldn't organise a p..s up in a Brewery, the Installation team came to fit the panels before the scaffold had even been erected ! So they left them here.
The Scafold when up didn't give access to fit the panels as to the surveyors instructions.
Eventually they were fitted in another position .They really haven't got a clue 😕
The Electrician came another day to wire up, still nothing fitted, no appointments given , they just turned up when the felt like it.
I've had no reduction in my electricity bills, in fact it has gone up !!
I've told them to remove them as they're a waste of time... Guess what.. no reply .😡

Still waiting on scaffolding to be removed. Have been abandoned by city energy. They gave me the scaffolder phone number but he never replies to messages. Been a nightmare from start to finish. Every date changed. Just not worth it! The phrase .......up in a brewery doesn’t even begin to describe the lack of professional logistics..

The City Energy team has looked after me from start to finish with the install of my solar panels. Professional and informative throughout. Thanks to the team my energy bill will be lower going forward and I couldn't recommend them enough.

Great service. Mat came to do a survey. He said we qualified for lots of things but, apparently, in the end, only able to acquire the solar panels as I didn't qualify for the other grants. Solar panels fitted promptly and professionally. Now up and running and very grateful that they were installed at just the right time.

Great experience from the initial consultation with Matt to the scaffolding chaps and the office staff, to completion. Highly recommend.

Successfully applied for a grant via City Energy. Approval process quick, initial 2 hour EPC assessment completed. Subsequently offered Solar PV and Underfloor Insulation.

Contracts sent quickly but with no details of what was to be installed etc so I called them. Technical inspection of home to verify both offers & define specs for works was then scheduled (at my request and as per their initial email) but no-one turned up! Called them, was told unnecessary! Still no schedule of works just a Solar PV schematic was sent - initially with my name, different property then reissued with my name, correct Google Earth pic but wrong address!

After chasing them, they finally agree that installation of underfloor insulation was not possible but Solar PV installation date was booked (still no full works schedule given) - sub-contractors arrived late and only the electricians...to check my home since no prior info given to them. Sub-contractors then returned a day later (they were great) but did not install what i expected - one panel less than their provided schematic and all panels fitted to my predominantly EAST facing roof. They also only fitted a 2.4Kwh system (was news to me).

Complained to City Energy 4 times in 2 weeks, not a single response despite assurances that their Office Manager would contact me. Have now referred them to HEIS for (FOURTEEN) Consumer Code violations and to seek mediation. They also failed to comply with their own Complaints Procedure and didn't even install what was shown of the Solar PV schematic.

City Energy recently enabled and managed the installation of County Council-funded internal wall insulation, loft insulation and first-time central heating into our home.

I was very impressed with this company; the level of customer service offered was outstanding. Our first meeting was reassuringly pleasant and informative. The representative was very knowledgeable with the application process and guided us through the whole procedure. Ongoing communication was excellent and all questions were answered.

Elite Rendering Systems carried out the insulation work. The internal wall insulation guys were extremely hard-working, often working until late on a Friday night before a 5 hour journey home. They were very polite and a pleasure to have in our home. The quality of their plastering and final finish was excellent. The loft insulation work was also carried out in a conscientious and professional manner.

Thermal Heating Solutions carried out the central heating work. The whole team offered a fantastic service, from the initial survey through to the final installation. The standard of the work was excellent and the team were generous with their time whilst discussing radiator placement and other considerations.

Finally I must offer my sincere gratitude to our main point of contact at City Energy, who closely followed the project every step of the way. He was very approachable and helpful, communication was prompt and efficient, and he went out of his way to ensure a positive experience from beginning to end.

I would not hesitate to recommend City Energy to anyone interested in improving the energy efficiency of their home.

Poor communication,don't reply to emails etc. Have no idea what's going on with our application. Will end up going through someone else now
