I agree with previous similar review. In 2019 I spent nearly £6k on 2 fires (high end log burner and gas effect log burner) and installation. Recently I had an issue with my gas supply whereupon British Gas had to check appliances (27th Sept) and found that the gas fire had not been fitted with an isolation tap and therefore had to cut the pipework and cap off to undertake some work. I phoned Choice Stoves to mention this and was promised that a gas engineer would be informed to attend my address with Choice Stoves agreeing to pay for the installation of an isolation tap .... I was happy to pay the call out cost. To date I have had to make over 10 additional phone calls and several texts messages with no response. Being a thoughtful person, I assumed that there may have been sickness issues or operational problems and after a reasonable time I emailed which was answered with a promise of somebody ringing me the following day. That was on the 24th October (10 days ago) and still no response. Happy to take my £6K but appears not so happy or keen to help me out. Absolute disgrace. Things like this soon get about and carrying on with this type of customer service will no doubt result in another empty high street shop!

From start to finish we couldn’t fault the service. David was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping us choose a log burner. Rafa and Kamil did a fantastic job in constructing a fireplace for us in our modern home. Very polite friendly guys, couldn’t fault their work and were very clean. Highly recommend them.

Choice Stoves we’re recommended to us and the experience, from David giving us advice, to his team actually installing our new stove was exceptional. We do not have a chimney so we were delighted when David told us that it was possible to fit a stove. We could not recommend Choice Stoves/David and his team more highly.

I am really pleased with the end result. However, the installation took twice as long as quoted. Even though I booked the job around 6 weeks in advance, all the materials for the job weren’t ordered until the day before. Consequently the slips I wanted were out of stock and I had to choose different ones which took a few days to arrive

Choice Stoves provides a first rate service, David was so helpful, he gave me a number of options and explained the process very clearly. He answered my questions and put me at ease.
Rafa and Kamil fitted my stove and I must say they were outstanding, they worked ever so hard and did a brilliant job, they did not stop!
They made sure that the room was clean when they had finished. Truly remarkable.
I would not hesitate recommending Choice Stoves.

I had been let down by the original installer of my multi fuel stove, I desperately needed alterations made to meet building regulations. David Southwell came to price up the job. He talked through all of my options and advised me on the beat course of action. A first class team, Very professional, punctual, clean and tidy, polite and courteous tradesmen. They made a fantastic job would recommend without hesitation. I have asked David and his team to fit a small stove in my log cabin and have recommended him to my son and sister.

We are delighted with our new stove. After selecting the make and model we wanted online (due to Covid) Choice Stoves were able to source and install it with little delay. The site visit was very prompt and the two installers were excellent; so polite, clean and tidy. We would recommend.

I was very impressed with the quality of workmanship and service provided by Soutwell Stoves. The installers removed our existing gas fire, built an inglenook fireplace and installed the stove to our exact specifications and the quality of workmanship was excellent. They were very polite, helpful, trustworthy and nothing was too much trouble. They also took particular care to keep mess to an absolute minimum and left the house as they had found it. I could not recommend this company enough.

Couldn't be happier with the service from Southwell Stoves. Would recommend to anyone. Very reasonable prices, excellent quality of work, professionalism and and customer service at a difficult time. Everyone involved in the process was lovely.

This is a great local business with plenty of choices of competitively priced stoves on the web page. We also visited the showroom in Carnforth. David the proprietor came out surveyed the job first which was removal of an old 60’s fireplace etc from a Victorian property. Then full installation of a wood burning stove which included the opening up of the original fire back installation of original Victorian fire surround tiling of new hearth etc. The two fitters worked tirelessly over 4 days on which turned out to be a more complex job than first thought. At one point having to install a scaffolding platform around chimney because they were so tall. They were extremely experienced,very hard working always tidying and hoovering before they left at end of day. When the stove was fitted the fitters demonstrated the correct way to prepare and run the stove confirming we had a carbon monoxide sensor. David also checked in a number of times to ensure everything was to our satisfaction whilst the job was ongoing and after completing the job. I cannot praise or recommend this business highly enough.

David was a pleasure to deal with. He advised on what stove was best for our space then managed to source it at a great price. Great service. Thanks.
