Excellent delivery

I can’t express an opinion on the chocolates as they were a present for my daughter but the delivery was excellent. I ordered them on a Tuesday and they were delivered the next day.

Out & Out Dark Chocolate Lover!

I ordered a box of 18, High Cocoa, Dark Ganaches and two bars of Cherry Brandy with Marzipan for Christmas.
The dark chocolate-covered bars were sublime... and unusual: cut thick slices or just take bites!
And the Dark Ganaches were presented in order of cocoa percentage: 72% - 85% - 99%
I'd never encountered 99% cocoa anywhere, but an intense, dark chocolate aroma escaped as the box was opened and the rich taste of all three was unbelieveable! I shall definitely look for them again for next Christmas.

The chocolate bars are delicious and arrived in excellent time and condition. The entire process was easy and efficient and there are no problems to report.

Disappointing customer service and zero ownership of delivery issues

It seems Chocolate Trading Co expect their customers to sit at home for days on end waiting for parcels, and if their chosen courier fails to deliver, that’s simply “not their problem”. I understand that things can go wrong with third-party delivery partners, but product quality and reliable delivery are part of the selling process. If a company can’t hold its partners accountable, it can’t properly manage customer expectations either.

What disappointed me most was the attitude from customer service. While they replied, the tone felt defensive and vaguely annoyed that I’d even dared to complain about repeated delivery problems. There was no real apology, no gesture of goodwill, no attempt to make the situation easier – just long, empty messages pointing me back to the courier’s tracking page. It was very clear they weren’t worried about losing me as a customer.

I’ve taken my business elsewhere to a company with more polite, solution-oriented customer service. Special mention to Jonathan, who certainly knows how to write lengthy but ultimately meaningless responses.

We regret that despite our prompt and correctly labelled dispatch of your order, Royal Mail failed to delivery it on their first 'tracking stated' delivery attempt.

As Jonathan pointed out, their tracking did state another delivery would be attempted the following day. He also reported your lengthy delivery concerns to our Royal Mail account manager, given your recent similar experiences with Royal Mail's delivery system.

We're very sorry that Royal Mail's tracking led to you having to wait for your delivery. Jonathan did point out that Royal Mail offered other options to their customers, by following the link on their tracking page.

The Standard delivery option you selected at checkout was not a guaranteed delivery service and merely states 2-4 working days for orders to arrive.

Jonathan was prompt in his responses, considered in the advice he gave and your reference to his lengthy response we find a little bewildering after you complained his initial response was "not an adequate response" and did not address all the points in your complaint.

We regret that as a customer of Royal Mail for many years, and despite the many thousands of parcels they deliver on our behalf, it still doesn't allow us to interfere with their own operational procedures.

Royal Mail have said they will raise your delivery concerns with the depot involved and this is as much as we can hope to press for.

Very good quality products

Very good quality products. It was supposed to be next day delivery on a Friday. The delivery company then said that they would deliver on Monday but in the end, it was delivered on Saturday. It would be good to have better notice

Unsweetened and gluten free

Despite the chocolate being high quality it has not been sweetened at all. I find this quite difficult to eat therefore have been looking for recipes in how to use it.
As it is gluten free it would be fabulous if this could be used.

The couverture (cooking chocolate) drops you ordered were 100% cocoa content, and therefore would not have contained any sugar or other ingredients.

Try melting & stirring into sauces or Chili's for example, to add a richness to the flavor, or grated/chopped and sprinkled over sweet deserts or ice-cream for a contrast in flavors.

The chocolate is fabulous.

The chocolate is fabulous, even the one I thought might be strange but I had to try it (olive and lemon) was so amazing, I will buy them all again. They came quickly and were packed nicely.

Don't buy from these scammers

Don't buy from these scammers. The customer service representative (Jonathan) replied to my delivery enquiry saying there was a Saturday delivery option, I placed the order and sent an email to confirm the Saturday delivery and then he replied saying that Saturday delivery was more expensive and that he couldn't update the order. Disgusting customer service. I want to cancel and receive a refund. There is no cancel option on the site. I sent an email canceling. No reply. Paid with PayPal. Opened a dispute. ... WARNING: Foul service from these dimwits. Their foul service deserves to be met with foul language. Made me waste hours for nothing without apologizing for their stupidity and my time is money. Buy from Amelie Chocolat, excellent service. Or from Maison Samadi, also excellent service (and top class). Or from Audrey's, also excellent service. Chocolate Trading Company = disrespectful, disreputable, and exasperating . But if you prefer to buy from these low class illiterates, be my guest. Just go ahead and feed mediocrity.

Warning! This customer uses them most foul & abusive language towards staff, that have been nothing but helpful & responded to all of his enquiry's promptly and efficiently.

After answering a number of questions prior to ordering, the customer placed the order but failed to select the Saturday delivery option he'd also enquired about earlier

When asked to update the order, we responded that we were unable to, as there would be an additional postage cost for the Saturday service.

He then replied with a short, one line, no salutation reply, stating "I want to cancel my order and a full refund immediately".

We replied that his order had been cancelled & refunded in full within 20 minutes. No need to open a dispute!

His abusive reply: "You're an idiot. At least learn to say "I'm sorry" you f****** fag.". (we have masked his reply in the interests of decency).

We have a zero tolerance policy regarding abusive behavior / language directed towards our staff. The customer's behavior has been logged accordingly.
