2017 F150 2wd 5.0
I recently bought a premium ford performance chip from ChipYour Car. I done exactly as instructed and all I can say is “WOW”. At 162 miles after installing the Chip I decided to check out the results. And like I stated before “WOW”. They have really put the time into programming the perfect set up. They have a customer for life. If your looking to upgrade the performance of any automobile, give Chip Your Car a chance. You won’t be disappointed.
What an excellent product, It has made suck i difference om power with so many different options to choose from. If you want better response, more power, better fuel economy, Race and Drag racing ability. Also has a mode to sense how you drive and makes the proper changes to accommodate for it. Also it has different levels to choose from in each mode. Valet and theft mode especially. Best part of all it connects to you're phone via Bluetooth. Well done on providing such a quality product. Thank You.
These people are so friendly and helpful. Their warranty goes far beyond than what it should. I chipped my Ranger and the longer I had it the better it ran. I'm tickled to pieces with this company and their employs🙂
I put this chip in and felt the difference a little quicker than the 150 miles which was great! I then saw the MPG's go up over time. I had never done something like this to my car before as I am not much of a "car guy", but it was super easy and did exactly what I was wanting it to!
I have a 2017 Ram 2500 with a 5.7 Hemi I bought the 60 hp chip and what a difference absolutely love it. I just bought one for a suburban with a 5.3 in I am excited to see the difference on that.
I bought the premium chip for my 2018 Honda Accord turbo. The first week or so it "seemed " to work well. I did notice a increase in power and speed off the line. Now 2 months later it seems to have stopped working and if anything worse than factory settings. Not sure how to deal with this 😕
Update.
Some guy called me to go talk about my review above. Anything but polite. He basically told me that the chip stopped working, syncing and this is common. That I'm used to the power and don't notice it anymore or that he tunes car his whole life and I'm a moron. Either way I will re-install the chip. Also that I should have called technical support instead of the review. And I should have bought something else for 70$ to see the performance of the chip on my phone. I'm not spending more money, and I'll re-install it and see what happens. Still not completely convinced this was a good purchase but I'm willing to try again.

Poor gas mileage.
I purchased a premium chip in March 2021 for my 2008 Toyota Tundra with the 4.7 V8. I had previously installed another chip that gave me 1 MPG. Up from 14.5 to 15.5 MPG. Instructions provided stated "No need to remove other chips." MPG went to 18.5 MPG. Not what was advertised but a good increase. I reasoned after a few more miles it might climb more. At about 500 miles MPG started to fall. It got as low as 12.5 MPG. I removed the other chip. Now 2000 miles after purchasing the premium chip my MPG is back to 15.4 MPG driving locally. If I go somewhere on the interstate, it drops about 1 MPG. It would appear I paid a lot of money to get nothing.
I feel I made a good decision on purchasing a premium chip your car chip. It was better than expected. The chip was easy to install, no maintenance, just plug it in and let it do it's thing. The WIFI monitor and the Launch pad really complements the chip, and highly advise to purchase all three and buy the DashCommand app. And as a bonus the customer service at Chip your Car is the best-wonderful. Easy to communicate with, quick replies, pleasant and a pleasure. And then the items are made in USA, Supports Americans and Supports the Military. It's a win for everyone, and really brings my Dodge Ram to the next level of performance. Extremely Happy customer. Thank-you.
I purchased a level 3 for my 2019 diesel Ford F-350. It arrived quickly and only took seconds to install. Drove the initial 150 miles with only horsepower noticeable, fuel economy negligible. Went on a 500 mile trip that the truck always got 17.7 to 17.8 mpgs. Drove the same speed, posted speed limit, and got 20.2 mpg,not the 5-6 mpg they guaranteed it would get. It feels like around a 50 horsepower gain. I am considering sending it back as it is only getting half the fuel economy they guaranteed 😩

The chips are useless, they only activate lights. I know some of you reading this will buy anyway. You are suckers. There are so many videos proving this doesn't work. Trust pilot is full of false reviews, even this site is a scam. Their refund gets you back only about 1/2 of your money after the restock fee and the cost of shipping. They have no physical business address. Buyer beware.
Edit: The chip comes in a box with no numbering or lettering. Question for the company. Shouldn't the make and model of the vehicle be considered when purchasing a chip? Of course, the answer is yes, as on your own website you gather this information. You also give the customer the option of how much horsepower they would like to add. All of this is laughable, as everybody gets the exact same chip! There is no marking, letting, none at all, on the box OR on the chip itself. How could you manage you vast inventory of supposedly different chips?
The fact is, the memory on the chip does one thing, it activates lights. There are about 3 videos on YouTube detailing this. And Brett, an owner (if that is his real name) told me on the phone that the lights don't matter, and to drive more miles to see the improvement.
The vast majority of reviews on this site are fake. The rest can be explained simply: put 93 octane in your car, you will see a slight improvement in performance. And of course, placebo effect. You need to do a complete remapping at a shop to get HP and torque (something like a GIAC chip, with labor, was $550 in Northbrook, IL in 2020. Incidently, driving off the lot was an amazing improvement. There is absolutely no reason to have to drive 150 to 200 miles as chip your car recommends. That is to allow the 87 octane to be used up and the 93 octane to kick in). The mechanic told me to expect about 20 to 25 HP gains, which was completely and immediately noticable, where the 60 HP chip that chip your car sent did nothing.
USER ERROR: the vast majority of complaints state that the chips don't work. The response from the company is user error. This is far from the case. The chips are simple to install. I repair/work on diesel rigs, I'll pay you $5,000 to drive to Chicago and show me on YOUR car how one of these chips can alter performance. It is impossible from a mechanic or scientific perspective.
Also, the youtube videos you put out are obviously fake. Especially the women from Minnesota, which is where you happen to live. What a coincidence! Friends? Family? Please.
You are scum for ripping people off, and wasting their time.
"Video removed for violating Trust Pilot guidelines" on YouTube is a great video detailing how the scam works. You guys will be in business for a long time because you sell the same exact chips that cost less that $1.39. Even with packaging and marketing costs, your making a fortune.
Shame on you. All that your current 'satisfied' customers have to do is remove the chip and they'll see the car performs EXACTLY the same.
As far as your physical address? Funny, I went there months ago. Are you also a barber shop, gift shop, music store?
EDIT:In your response to my review you say this is not true. Okay, you scumbag, I'm willing to take some time out of my day to respond. And by doing so, I truly hope that I get at least one more person to not buy your product.
You state that there's no restock fee, but we both know you're lying because in one of your reviews you mentioned that you had a $40 restock fee. It is one of the reviews in the one star section of trust pilot. You yourselves wrote out and response to a reviewer that you have a restock fee, so you've either changed and no longer have one or you still have one.
I would also like to point out that one of your tactics to get rid of one star reviews is by telling trust pilot that you Believe this is a fake comment. The reason I was able to keep my comment up is because I had to take screenshots of my receipts and postal information which I saved, and send that to trust pilot. This leads me to believe that there would be hundreds of more negative reviews of people that simply don't have the time to spend to prove that they were scammed by you.
I tried to put a link of a YouTube video I made showing your product. The name of the video is chip your car is a scam. The video link was taken down by trustpilot for violating their terms of having external links.
Every single negative review of yours states the same thing. The chips didn't work and when they told you, you send out another one. By the time they got around to making the return, which is so inconvenient, they missed the timeline for the return and you keep their money.
Again, you have no store front, liar. Put a picture of your store on your website and prove me wrong.
Anybody even considering: go to a local mechanic and ask them if there's even a .0001% chance that this could work. Problem solved, save your money.

Thank you so much for my chip. The way this chip has made my car efficient and meet all the high standards. This chip is the best investment I've purchased this year. Thank you so much for being a honest business. The fuel and extra horse power has meet every standard your company promised. A very happy costumer. i hope in the near future you make the lauch pad for Holden's. Brisbane australia

I bought the stage 3 chip for my 2016 Nissan Maxima. Factory listing is 300 hp, after having chip stalled for 300 to 400 miles, I have hit 354 hp and seen a 3 to 3.5 Mpg increase city. The car is running smoother than ever and that's with a 182000 miles on it. I drive it for a living. I highly recommend this product! Along with the monitor and Dashcommand app.

I bought the 60hp chip for my car . The chip came in reasonable time and well packaged. The instructions were simple and well explained . After installing the chip i noticed increased hp immediately ;as i got closer to the 150 miles needed for the chip to completely install ; the better it performed . Thanks .

I bought the 60hp and 5-6mpg increase. I did not notice much of a hp gain and my vehicle only went up by 1 mpg. I believe it went up by 1mpg because of the required 150 miles of conservative driving it asks of you before testing it and the suggested 90+ octane fuel i put in my vehicle, 2016 Colorado Z71. After 150 miles i did not notice any improvements. Called the company and they had me reinstall the chip. I have driven it for 80 miles now and have not noticed any increase. its not cheap any suggestions?? Im pretty bummed.

I didn’t think it would be as good as it is... I was impressed with the response and the power from the chip..

This has been disappointing to say the least. I bought the stage 3 for my 2012 Ram Sport with the 5.7 Hemi and it has made no difference in horsepower or performance. I have tried unplugging the chip and resetting it all but to no avail. Guess I am out hundreds of dollars as it still doesn’t work.
UPDATE: after attempting to reinstall the chip a different way as per their recommendation and the chip still not working, they sent me a replacement chip with the promise that if this one did not work they would refund me. I installed the new one and BIG SURPRISE, no difference. After pulling some teeth with them they gave me return authorization. I returned my product (at my cost) but they are now saying they cannot refund me because it is past the ‘6 month allowance’. I am seeing this whole process was a delay tactic and they are not being honorable to their word.
I do NOT recommend dealing with this company.

Chip is a complete scam and I unfortunately fell for it. Did nothing to increase HP or fuel efficiency. Just flashing lights to give you a false sense an actual working products. Most of the good reviews are all paid. This company is a scam and I still don't know why their website is still and running.

Sorry I didn't buy the 60 horsepower. The 40 works get. I have a2017 chevy Colorado which shifted hared sometimes.Since putting in chip very rarely shifts hard.
