A mess of a company
Poor customer service, slow certificate approval, repetitive requests ignoring previous emails. A mess of a company.
Ssl stick ordered for over 500 dollars
Ssl stick ordered for over 500 dollars. No delivery, not one reply from support. What else is this but fraud? Hurray for Paypal buyer protection! What the hell are you thinking! Not possible at all. Thanks for nothing! Warning to everyone about this “company” or whatever you want to call it.
Helpful and timely support
My interactions with CheapSSL Security were uniformly pleasant and successful. I would have given five stars but for very poor performance by the company actually providing the certificate, Digicert.
When I asked for help with installing the certificate when it finally arrived, I was given step by step instructions that made the whole process simple.

Good experience ordering code signing certificate
I needed to buy a code signing certificate and was quite worried that almost every company selling them seems to have lots of bad reviews.
However, I can report that after ordering from CheapSSLsecurity the process went smoothly and I had my hardware token delivered to me in the UK less than a week after ordering.
After placing the order, all the communication I had from then on was with Sectigo, so they also deserve praise based on my experience.
My only complaint is the extortionate price now charged for code signing certificates, but since all suppliers seem to be charging about the same I won't mark CheapSSLsecurity down for that.

Find another provider if you value your sanity
I have been using this company for the last 4 years and every year there has been hair pulling problems.
I have 131 web sites and so I have a lot of work in renewing them each year. And every year I get random bugs with their web site.
This year the email verification would not work and they were sending the emails to a non-existence email address. This made the job so much harder.
I tried their support once again but it takes them a very long time before they get back to you if they do. And they have an option they stick in your face non-stop in hoping to get more money from you to get past their buggy web site. They paste this message in a speech bubble and it overwrite other status messages at the top and so you often cannot read them. How utterly stupid!
Anyway, you have to pay $8 Australian to get instant support and it is only for one domain.
After explaining the issue, he manually sent me a verification email which was of no help as it was going to happen to all the other domains as well. He said he could do nothing about it and told me to contact support which I had with no answer. So more money wasted on them and they did not care.
The support eventually responded a day later and said, "I see you got that domain done so thanks for contacting us" And that was it! I said the problem existed for all 131 domains but they just ignored that and I was flogged off.
With so many domains, I needed their search function but it did NOT work!
There is no function to list the domains you had just completed! So every time something went wrong, I had to do a long tedious manual search to find the site I just did to try and fix what screwed up this time.
The email notification randomly worked after a while and when it did, the link was NOT clickable. So this made it ever harder again. Last year I reported this of one of many bugs and they promised it would be fixed.
Well one year on and they did nothing and did not fix it as promised! Such a simple thing to fix but they did not care.
And it has been the same every year. They flog you of, they do not listen, or just do not do what they promise.
So after 4 years of wasted hours and struggle with a difficult to use setup and many bugs and random bugs, I am done!
I suggest if you value your sanity, find another service that listens, has support that actually does something and not just the appearance to. They may help with quick and simple easy issues, but beyond that, it is just too hard for them and so you get flogged off.
Since I have 131 domains, they will lose thousands of dollars from me over coming years. When they failed to read my support email, I responded and told them so. Did they care? Nope!
I guess they were just workers and had no vested interest in if the company lost money. They should have an automated how did the support team do email. Then the owners can look to see if they are getting lots of poor feedback from various individuals and sack those who do not care.

Faster and cheaper than the competition. I literally spend 3 minutes generating a SSL cert for a clients website. Verification was super fast. Happy!

Understanding the correct product
Did not understand the system for SSL certs. Received great help from the team. Finally sorted out what I needed. Operating a small server farm of 4 and trying to produce a no-single-point-of-failure is difficult in itself. Then, adding the correct cert is challenging. Thanks for your patience.
