I bought a third Dell laptop big mistake Ifeel I have been scammed. No answer to phone or emails.
I bought a third Dell laptop in September for my wife's birthday/Christmas shortly afterwardswimdows 11 stopped working and an authorised microsoft service agent advised us that the pc spec was not suitable for windows 11 but someone had forced it on. Since then it failed a second time and the microsoft service agent informed us that it did not have a valid microsoft licence to work. Impossible to make contact with the company for a refund of the retail cost of £209.00 and £141.00 repair cost. Like many other customers I feel have been scammed and will endeavor to recover losses. Three excellent laptops in five years
I've bought three laptops from The Cheap Laptop Company over the last five years. In each case the device I've received has been in excellent condition, properly refurbished and well set up, and competitively priced. They all arrived promptly and well packaged. In my experience they are genuine operators and not a scam company. I will no doubt use them again, and - based on experience - I have no hesitation in recommending them.
Scammers
Scammers! They purchase a laptop on eBay but ask the eBay company to post it directly to you. Excellent scam upsell model. Problem being there is no warranty with the actual seller because they have never heard of you so you have no proof of purchase and the biggest insult is they buy them at least 50% less than what they charge you! Absolute rip off. Ended up buying better laptop with a bigger drive from eBay myself for less than half what they charged me. When you call them out on it they go to ground and never return calls or emails. Scammer!
Good experience all round
Good experience all round. Received the laptop today and it's in excellent condition, works well and the battery holds charge. They did try to upsell me MS Office and Anti-virus software and it took about 10 days to arrive after ordering - but I'm pleasantly surprised.

Not as bad as painted
Am about to buy my third laptop from this company as my previous experience has been excellent: prompt service, machines as new. (Loss not malfunction has been the problem)
Don’t use this company! Scammers
I have used this company several times over the years and they’ve always been very good. Not anymore!!! Beware, I originally ordered a laptop on the 26th July, it was extremely slow with a faulty screen - not fit for purpose, I understand this can happen with refurbished goods. I contacted the company and they agreed to let me pay for an upgrade for an improved spec. I sent it back the same day, 24 hour special delivery. 2 weeks later, I’d still not received the upgraded laptop, I had rang and emailed each day, I was ignored. Last week, over 7 weeks since I originally ordered the first laptop, I received the replacement. Again, faulty. No power, doesn’t last 5 mins without being plugged in, and gets extremely hot! High probability of a fire hazard! I’ve asked for another exchange or a refund and David from customer service who seems to be the only person working, keeps telling me to ring technical support, I’m sick of ringing/emailing, all I want is a working laptop that’s not a fire risk! As it stands, nearly 2 months on, I still don’t have a functioning laptop! Nobody at this company is bothered once they’ve taken your money. AVOID
Warranty was not honoured
Advertised on the page as 2 year warranty,,,just like every other laptop for sale on their site... now the graphics card packed up after 18 months....Numerous emails and phone calls as mentioned in the other reviews were always ignored. A threat of small claim court got my answer that its only warranted for a year lol.
Don't buy from these lying street urchins
My laptop arrived just before going on… Bunch of con artists
My laptop arrived just before going on my holidays. On return I used the laptop and there was no sound. I emailed them to tell them and all they said was that when it left the factory it had sound. I sent the laptop back at my expense because the two week return to base had expired. The laptop was sent on the 6th July it is now the 26th July. I have sent numerous emails asking for an E.T.A. They have not responded. so I will be contacting my credit card company to see how I stand on getting my money back. Bunch of you know what's!
DO NOT
DO NOT, DO NOT buy anything from this company. their warranty is worth nothing. No one ever answers their phone number and you can leave as many messages as you like, as instructed by their answer machine, no one gets back to you. Send emails with the same results. You will just be wasting you time.
Just Dont.
Like so many others, did not deliver within 3-5days and when I cancelled was told I couldn't because the order had been processed. The order was then delivered after 2 weeks, sadly the delivery company did not knock so I couldnt refuse it. No return details enclosed and wrong item sent.
By this stage I had contacted the bank to effect a refund. At this point they threatened me and my landlady( who had nothing to do with this in any way)
with legal action for fraud??? They eventually sent a returns address and I sent it back promptly.
I felt they were delaying so that I would run out of time to make a claim.
they never respond to e mails or phone calls but are very quick to contact you if its something they want.
I got my money back.
Dont deal with them. If you have and are reading this, check your rights.
No cancellation policy
Ordered on line late Sunday, changed my mind for various reasons. 3 phone calls, and 5 emails, no reply, on Monday morning. Sent an email saying getting bank to get money back. They emailed straight back… not our policy to cancel. Various emails back and to, upshot they are sending it anyway! Told them I won’t accept package, feel free to redirect it they say! Have a feeling this will really drag on . Like us all Iv got lots of things going on and stuff like this drives me mad. Wouldn’t mind so much but I never buy without checking the company out but this is what you get if you don’t.
Fraud company - Joke
Fraud company - waited 12 days for shipment (said 3-5days) - overall same bad experience as users below.
Sent the wrong item - E6320 rather than E6220 Dell. Then charged extra for MS office install (but it wasnt installed and said I cant get refund - even tried get them to call me to explain but keep getting automated response) - tried set up return, have to pay myself and there is a 10% reshelf fee. What is that. I have since looked at the consumer rights pages, this is against the law.
Take at least 4+ days to respond to any mail. AVOID this company. Pop down to one of those electric shops instead.
Afraid to send it back as they will just say it was installed and ill be out of pocket...you can just tell thats how they make their margains rather than just be decent and let people speak highly of them. Jokers.
For your mental health, AVOID
I had order a laptop before reading the reviews, big mistake!!! I decided then to cancel the order. I did that within 30mns. So I thought it will be fine, error again!I have sent numerous emails, they never bothered to answer and they shipped the laptop? Kind of pushing me to take it. Their mistake as it only reinforced my will to cancel and have nothing to do with them. Never in my internet shopping life, I have come across shuch company. 0 customer service.
Awful company, avoid!
Firstly, I really should have done my homework as the reviews would have stop me making the purchase. Laptop bought turned out to be over 8 years old and contained a lot of software that you would not normally have, so it was reset to factory settings. Unable to update anything at it kept saying there was an error. Unable to set factory settings as I didn't have the Windows disk. Very slow running and I had 10% deducted from my refund with no explanation as to why.
I bought a HP Elitebook and the sound…
I bought a HP Elitebook and the sound went after 6 months, no replys to any emails! STAY CLEAR!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAMMER!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAMMER!!!!!!! I bought a refurbished laptop, that had to be sent back on first use, as it was faulty. It was 'fixed' then sent back to me again. The previous owner's details, emails and content came up repeatedly on it. After using it three times, it became faulty again. This time they refused to correspond. What a waste of money!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
