Please do not use CheapFlyShop!!

Please do not use CheapFlyShop. I had terrible experiance booking with them. I was looking for direct flights to Malaysia, i then came across CheapFlyShop's direct flight deal, which seemed reasonable. I clicked and entered my details, as i hesitated to pay, i received an email from CheapFly saying i havent paid for my booking, at no point the tickets i chose was advertised as unconfirmed tickets, so i made the payment and I received an email saying the tickets are unconfirmed and Cheapfly is working with the airline and there was no baggage allowance for my journey. I rang Malaysian Airline and they said, tickets hasnt been issued and as an Airline, the deal between Airline and agents is that once payment is made to agents, their internal system will issue the tickets, what cheapfly is doing is unusual and it is not how the Airline operates. I rang Cheapfly, querying where are my tickets and why a longhaul flight has no baggage allowance, they said they cannot issue tickets as my ticket is unconfirmed and this deal has no baggage allowance. I asked them to refund my fare, they said it is non refundable ticket but equally they cannot issue the tickets. They started changing my dates of travel, changing who I flew with, changinging my time, it was absolutely stressful conversation, the person we spoke to was an Executive, he was very condesending and wanted us (me and my husband) to listen to him, he kept repeating that we needed to LISTEN to him. I booked and paid on Saturday, by Monday we still havent reached a solution. They were not going to return our money either, we lost sleep over this, I got so angry on Monday night, I rang them, recorded the phone call and gave them a peace of mind for conning us, it was absolute con and scam and i demanded our money back. The call handler agreed to return my monies. But we now have lost all trust on booking online, this company tried to con us! who do we trust? why did CheapFlyShop-leaving up to their cheap name, try to con us. Why cant they just say, we cant sell you the tickets as you booked and we will return the monies, why give me and my family such a hard time, the fare was nearly £1k. PLEASE DONT USE THIS AGENT!

Beware of Cheapflyshop: Misleading Ticket Details and Extra Charges

This was one of the worst booking experiences I’ve ever had.

I booked tickets for my family (1 adult and 2 children) from London to Karachi through cheapflyshop.com. After booking, I received the reservation details, but the ticket status was still showing as “pending.” I also noticed that the email only mentioned 7kg hand carry and no checked baggage.

Concerned, I called their customer service the next morning to confirm. I was told that I had booked a “promotional ticket” that only included hand carry. However, there was no mention of any such condition on their website at the time of booking. When I questioned this, the agent said nothing could be done and that cancellation would cost £150 per ticket (£450 total). Alternatively, they offered to add baggage for an additional £500.

I had already paid £1550 for the tickets. The agent then started offering “alternative options” with higher prices (£1785, £1900, even £2000), which felt like a tactic to force me into paying more. When I pointed out that similar tickets were available elsewhere for around £1520, they couldn’t justify why their prices were significantly higher.

Under pressure and limited options, I ended up paying £1785 for tickets on different, less convenient dates—around £260–£280 more than I initially planned.

Later, I contacted Saudi Airlines directly and also checked their official website. I was informed that all London to Karachi flights include one 23kg checked bag along with hand carry as standard. This was also confirmed by their customer service.

It became clear that I had been misled. Baggage was already included, yet I was told otherwise, seemingly to extract more money through unnecessary upgrades and changes.

This experience caused unnecessary stress, disrupted my travel plans, and cost me extra money. I travel frequently and have never encountered such practices before. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with cheapflyshop.com.

Resolution:

Further to my previous update, the issue has now been resolved. Sam John (Escalation Manager) from Cheapfly stepped in and helped resolve the matter by providing travel vouchers, which I can use until next year.
