This company is absolute garbage. They have the worst customer service I've ever experienced and I travel A LOT. They make it so you can't change your flight at all, whereas if you booked directly with an airline this would be super simple. If you call the airline, they're unable to change it because the booking was made by a 3rd party. Stay far away.

Chatdeal/Kayak concerning behaviour
I purchased tickets YVR to London, I asked for two but only one was delivered; I called customer service and asked to find me another ticket like the one I purchased or cancel the one I just bought (the purchase was done at 8:30 pm,) the agent (Gany ) replied that he would work on that .The morning after he sent a link with 2 tickets available for purchase, I proceeded to buy them and cancel the single one (time stamp was 6:30 am) . My refund was denied quoting the excuse that it should have been done the same day by the airline rules, this is very strange because every airline allows 24 hours (including west jet) to cancel with full refund. More to the point, there was no mention of this peculiar cancellation policy. I lodged a formal complaint with the BBB since this behaviours is very suspicious of fraud and should be flagged. Whoever is considering using Kayak in partnership with chatdeal should be warned: there is a high possibility of problems and losses, customer carer pretends to "work on resolving the problem"but it is just a platitude. The result of their inquiry is already predetermined, they quote rules that are not disclosed and rather made up according to the situation to suit their interest, in addition they never offered any alternative (e-credit/ exchange) as they are supposed to do according to their own website.
I regret using this service, please note that it is not accredited by the BBB, the awful reviews speak volumes.

This company is a scam. DO NOT ever buy a ticket from them! They are absolutely incompetent. They will string you along and ultimately cannot make any changes to your itinerary even though your ticket indicates that is possible. You will call for weeks, speak to multiple agents, and will be put thousands of dollars. HORRIBLE company.

I really fed up with the customer service I received from chatdeal. I booked a flight through Kayak via Chatdeal. The airlines adjusted the flight, and now I have a long lay over on one location. I have been trying to sort this out, but no response. I always get a standard response that someone is working on it or the airline is working on it. If you can not provide assistance on the ticket, why are you taking money. The airlines won't provide support either since I booked the ticket through chatdeal. What a shame! The only option I have is to get a refund. The new ticket costs way more that I booked earlier. This is for booking reference - KD59423

We booked through chatdeal for our flights from Boston to Lima. Before we left for our trip, we got several emails that our flights had changed. Okay, no problem! That happens.
Before our flight back home to the United States we checked on the LATAM Airlines website several times and our flights appeared to be sorted. The new flight details were on their listing as confirmed. When we got the airport in Cusco, they informed us our flight was actually that morning. We showed them their website and the emails from them that said our new flight details. They told us this was kayaks fault and could not help us. We eventually after begging and pleading they booked us on a new flight as we could not get through to anyone at Kayak.
My only assumption is that kayak does not ticket flights upon payment rather they only hold a PNR. This is terrible service as you need to ticket flights right away.
Our new flight route took over 40 hours to get us home.
I work in the luxury international travel industry and I have never heard of a flight story more terrible.

Original: Firstly, I have regularly been travelling internationally for over 13 years now, and I've been through it all with travel agencies. This was BY FAR my worst experience.
I booked my usual multi-leg transatlantic flight for Christmas 2022; I book months in advance to get a good price. As Christmas approached, the flight schedules changed slightly (totally normal), which meant that I wouldn't make my connecting flight to my final destination. I ask to rebook and am given a new, earlier flight time by the ChatDeal advisor (Veris, if we're naming names). So far, so good.
Well, Veris didn't give me all the info I needed to board with my luggage, so I was denied boarding. I had to take my original flight, ending with me missing my layover and being grounded in ATL overnight, which I was trying to avoid, and the confusion over the tickets led to the airline losing my luggage. For over two weeks.
Let's now discuss Chatdeal's policies when something goes wrong. I had FOUR MONTHS of automated replies saying the situation was resolved because my 'ticket had been used'. Yes, my original ticket, not the rescheduled one. I finally called customer service (only an American number, BTW; if you're abroad, good luck), and the guy on the line was incredibly rude, saying it had been four months, why couldn't I let this go etc as he was reviewing my case, and you could actually hear the penny drop as he realised I had been fobbed off and ignored for months through repeated automated emails. His tone changed very quickly after that, and he assured me that he would be personally responsible for my case, he would escalate to management, he would call me in 72 hours etc. We seemed to be making progress, even though he was absolutely terrible at the beginning of the call. It appears to be policy to initially attack customer service callers.
Well, three weeks then went by with no call until I finally received an email from someone completely unrelated to the case saying I'd been given a voucher for £100 on my next booking. HAHAHAHAHA. Like I'll ever use this company again. I asked what the voucher was for, and why I hadn't been contacted as promised, and did get a call back from someone else completely unrelated to the case, telling me they'd raise a ticket and look into it. And lo and behold...
Another automated email telling me my issue was resolved!
Lessons learned:
1. If anything changes with your booking, the company cannot guarantee you will be able to board your rescheduled flight.
2. They will then try to ignore you until you give up complaining. It appears to be company policy.
2. Escalating to customer service will be met first with attacks and then with false promises.
3. ChatDeal has no infrastructure to deal with escalated complaints, as your case will bounce around randoms until something lands in your inbox.
4. BONUS: the guy on the phone let slip that they NEVER give refunds.
I will never book with this company again. I will never book with Kayak, their parent company, ever again. I've been on holiday while my travel agency has literally gone out of business, and I had a better experience than with this lot. It's a parody of a travel agency that somehow got licensed. DO NOT USE.

Following this review Chat deal sent 2 responses - send info to investigation@ and another asking for booking reference. Both were replied to immediately.
To date we have had no follow up at all.
Another point is if you have to phone them from outside the USA the call charges are huge. On each occasion we called you have to explain the situation again after waiting in a queue. The shortest call was 45 minutes to get precisely nowhere! You cannot get the case escalated

Don't EVER book with Chat Deal.
We booked tickets which were converted to a voucher when flights were cancelled. Since then Chat Deal have held £1200 of our money and are not willing to allow us to use the voucher to rebook, all they can offer are substandard over priced ticket options. We have been emailing and phoning since March. They don't reply to emails and the most recent chaser email sent came back with inbox full. Flights are now much more expensive and we are no closer to getting this resolved.
We thought we were booking through Kayak but this is not the case.

Chatdeal are so opaque. They do not explain why a flight is not allowed or show evidence. We were fully aware that we could not get a higher priced ticket for the value of the voucher. We are not stupid. We appreciated that there would be an additional cost.
The flight option they provided (using a multi-flight route with an 18 hour lay over via every city you never felt the need to go to!) was higher than the value of the voucher we held, as was the direct flight which we wanted to take.
Both their daft route and our thoughtful direct route were codeshare routes with Virgin, who informed us directly that Chatdeal would have access to the direct flight.
We have been trying to sort this since March and are no further forward. They just avoid answering direct questions. If you do want to sort this please make contact by email and allow us to draw a line under this farce as Virgin say you have access to all flights so are perfectly able to resolve this

You should not book through chat deal. You will almost certainly regret it. No online check-in option and poor communication with sending flight information. Pick another option unless you want trouble on your trip. Do not believe their response about this being isolated.

I had a travel credit of 700$ ( I specifically got the travel insurance), wanted to use it and they said it can only be used on a certain types of tickets and after applying that travel credit I still had to pay 800$ for the ticket for the same airlines TURKISH AIRLINES! and they had audacity to call me after that and tell me they had to charge extra 100$ for airline penalty fee. excuse me what?

Worse experience of my life
Worse experience of my life. Chatdeal is partnered with Kayak and its fraud website. They booked my tickets debit my bank account and cancelled my return tickets without my consent. When I went to the airport with my under age kids I was told my ticket was never confirmed, there’s no booking in Turkish system. I was stuck for one full week no response from Chatdeal neither Turkish as they both were blaming each other.

Not good. Any reschedule is $3300 flight fee. I am getting the same ticket for less than $1000 on kayak. When asked they say that price is not available for chatdeal.com. Only chat support. Customer service is extremely bad. 14hrs before my international travel, they did not have my tickets.. I booked my tickets 10 months in advance..
Update June 6 2023: chatdeal has responded back to my post on this portal. The response provided by the company is not accurate. I am not getting any response or resolution from their company. I contacted the customer service again on June 5, again they said they would respond back in 12-24 hours. No response. I will provide an honest review if they resolve the matter.
I have to travel back to US from india ~ 15 June 2023. I had paid extra for flexible tivkets and premium support. I reached out to their rescheduling department on June 1 2023. I was told they will reach back in 12-24 hrs. I called back again on 4 June 2023. Again same response, we will call back in 12-24 hrs. Again no response. I have sent them emails to get an update.
The number that was given to me to call is for united airlines. I called the airlines and told me that only chatdeal can reschedule. I have paid for flexible tickets and customer support. What is the use of this fee if I cannot reschedule my tickets or speak to customer service?

Chatddeal Won't Release Our Round-trip Return Flight Tickets to us
My husband Daniel and I booked round-trip tickets Via Kayak through Chatdeal flying from JFK-ROME returning tomorrow Florence-Rome-JFK for his birthday.
We received an email on March 22 that for absolutely no reason whatsoever our return flight ticket was "cancelled" even though the flight is still available through ITA and was *not* cancelled on their end. We have literally been on the phone with Chatdeal representatives- Candy, Fillipo, too many other representatives to name, every single day before and during our vacation and they keep telling us that "is an unusual glitch in the system" and "it should be resolved in 24 hours" "it's ITA's fault" and to "call back tomorrow". We have been given the runaround for weeks now.
I work in customer service, we are supposed to fly out tomorrow, and this is absolutely unacceptable. They asked yesterday if we wanted a refund even though that could take "4-6 weeks" to process, and I told them we just wanted our return flight, and if they could not provide that for us we will be asking for a refund. Fillipo said "give them 24 hours" to contact ITA and that we had to call back tomrrow (today).
We have been on the phone with ITA Airways for 2 hours now (I'm currently on hold wasting the last day of my vacation as I type this but the ITA agent I am working with is super helpful but is saying that she can't fix the problem on her end because it is through the agency) they have the record of our tickets on their end but Chatdeal refuses to issue and release them to us, even though they are paid for.
The chatdeal agent said that she would call us back "in 10 minutes" this morning, and when she did call back she said they had to wait for another representative - Candy- to get back to them about what happened with our tickets.
UPDATE: Hannah who works for ITA Airways went above and beyond, updated our itinerary and got us new tickets for our flight. We have yet to hear anything back from Chatdeal.
We will never be using Kayak or Chatdeal again. Please avoid DO NOT BOOK through them.

Great deal, customer service was there to help
Got a great deal, confirmed quickly. Couple of hitches but easy to manage for a resonably experienced traveller. Once you get the confirmation, you can go on the airline site and book seats (you pay extra, but that is always the case). I could have booked with AA or BA and would have paid £970 for LHR-ORD, but instead paid 40% less, paid for really good seats and still saved money.
It was a codeshare / mixed carriers deal - BA outbound, and FinnAir inbound but operated by AA. So just had to call AA to get the proper record locator, booked and paid for seats. Perfect.
Sent an email to customer service when I had a glitch, and they called back less than an hour later.
I had resolved it myself by then, but they were ready to help.
Now if the airline cancels, or I need to make a change, I expect a huge hassle. Most of the 1 and 2 stars are difficulty with changes. I hope not to change as it is a non-changeable non-refundable ticket.

Received email return flight changed and I confirmed on the same day ok to change. Received email to wait 24 hours to confirm change. No response after 3 days, I called in and the representative said to wait 24 hours again. It happened again and again, every time I called. After 2 weeks I called ask for the manager and the representative hung up. I called again and the representative get my information now and said manager will call me back. This is the same over and over requesting for a manager and no one ever call back. Since ChatDeal can not connect with the airline I called the airline myself. Airline said they don't accept online, email or anything else for flight change. All they need is ChatDeal to call in. I thought this would be easy enough I just need to do a 3 ways call with the airline and ChatDeal. I called to inform ChatDeal, the airline only accept phone call for the change and if we can do the 3 way call but ChatDeal refused to call. Then I ask a manager to call me or I can call the manager but same thing again, no one ever call. I have been making email also asking for manager to call but no one ever reply my email. As a customer I don't know what else I can do. I don't understand why can they do something to follow up instead of just keep waiting and waiting? Do I need to wait until my flight day comes and cancel my flight or what? My first time doing business with ChatDeal and is my last time. As of now almost a month I am still waiting for the confirmation. Unbelievable service!

Wish I have found these bad reviews before trying out ChatDeal. I searched for my flights via Kayak. There was an option to ‘instantly book’ with Kayak so I thought it was great. Once I submitted my payment, I got the confirmation it was via with ChatDeal. I thought it must be okay since it was under Kayak. Then, I noticed the arrival and departure cities were in reverse on the confirmation email. I immediately sent an email asking them to switch to the correct cities before processing my request as it was 1 am my local time. An hour late, I received an email from someone named Colton. He explained to me that my tickets were non exchangeable, non transferable, non cancellable, etc. Then, he stated it he could make the change for me as a favor without any penalty payments except for the fares difference and taxes which came out over $1,200. I searched for the airfare and the cost was identical to the one with revered cities so it made no sense to me. I sent him what I found and asked why there was a large difference in airfares. Also, I asked if I could just cancel and pay the $50 processing as noted by Kayak policy although my tickets were not issued. Another hour later, he replied and repeated the same rules yet the cost now is only $440 with ‘discount’. What a scam trying to get money from customers. Luckily I found the cancel option on Kayak app before they had a chance to issue the tickets. Lost a couple hours of sleep but at least I didn’t lose the money to this so called business with unethical business practices.

Promised that they were contacting the airline, promised to return phone calls, nothing happened.
Scam company working out of India.
I gave up talking to them and called the airline directly. Airline said they weren't supposed to make any changes due to tickets being booked through 3rd party, but would waive the restriction. Cost $50 per ticket to make the change. Chatdeal -1*, SIA +20*.
I'll never do business with these thieves again.
