I spent over £5k and asked for my items to be delivered on a Wednesday when I would be off work. I added this to the delivery note on my order. I also sent a email to chards for added security. Leslie from chards replied back saying “we are pleased to confirm your order will be dispatched today for delivery tomorrow “ So it will be delivered on Saturday and I won’t be at home. This company is a joke and I don’t think I can ever spend a penny with this business again.

Great price, great service
There are many options for selling bullion but I chose Chards due to their competitive offer pricing (much better than almost all of the alternatives), professional process and approach which was clearly explained and managed after I spoke to them, their very competitively priced insured courier collection service and finally rapid completion of the sale. No question that I shall be using Chards again.

Painful and intrusive collection…
Painful and intrusive collection process. Even with an appointment, it takes at least 20–30 minutes to get in and out, so I’ve stopped using the collection service altogether.
As a result, I’m now having to pay for delivery, which seems unnecessary given that I’m local. I’d probably order more often, but the delivery costs put me off.
I’ve also received coins with dents in them, and on the occasions I’ve collected in person, I’ve seen staff handle my order without the level of care I’d expect. Regardless of whether they are bullion an not proof coins, careful handling should be a priority, as it’s unnecessary to handle them in a way that could cause damage.
