Fallen angel
In 2024 we had an excellent experience with CGH, which made this year’s stay at Résidence Orée des Neiges particularly disappointing. There was no reception anymore, no access to the lounge or relaxation area, and several essential facilities did not work (heating, lighting, ski room, Wi-Fi). The apartment was freezing on arrival and some issues persisted throughout the entire week.
The on-site staff were friendly and reachable, and they did try to help, but their efforts were clearly insufficient to resolve the structural problems.
Most disappointing of all: despite several complaint emails, CGH never provided a substantive response. We only received automated marketing messages after our stay.
Unacceptable for the price and the promises made. A real shame, as CGH used to be much better.
Good and bad
Good and bad. Recently stayed at CGH Tignes 2100, first the good, Spa was well appointed (although pool was cold one one day), room was spacious for four people, ski lockers great. The bad, room cleanliness was not the best, decor all round was a bit tired but worst of all was asking your guest to do an inventory, what on earth! I have never been asked to do this anywhere, why on would you assume someone paying £4000 per week would want to take anything that was quite frankly fit for the bin, unbelievable!
Very disappointing third stay
This was our third stay and we were SO disappointed. I telephoned six days before our stay to request an apartment near to the lifts. There are several buildings on a hill, and as we are in our 70s it's difficult to carry skis and shopping up the slope. Travelling by train, there's no other way to get to the higher buildings than by walking. In the previous two visits, our request was willingly granted and we were allocated apartments near to the lifts. This time I was told all the allocations had been done, but she would 'do her best' to meet our request. On arrival, we had to queue for nearly 90 minutes to check in with only three staff dealing with countless people who were tired. There were cups, hot water, sugar and milk but the tea and coffee had long since gone and nobody thought to replenish them. When my turn finally came at the counter, we had been allocated an apartment in the very last building at the top of the hill. They KNEW we didn't have a car as they had asked the question on the phone, and it was also stated on the booking form. Our holiday was made extremely difficult because of this sheer lack of consideration, despite my asking for an apartment near to the lifts and explaining that we are elderly. The apartments are excellent (we have taken an apartment for six each time so that there are two separate bedrooms). The location (if you have a car or are near the lifts) is excellent but reception is closed for 4-5 hours each day, making it difficult to visit as it's another long walk uphill to get back to the apartment we had this time. Will we go again? I'm not sure. After this visit we are so disappointed in the lack of care for guests preferences. Why not allocate the higher apartments to those with cars? Seems simple enough. And on check-in day, why not operate a 'take a number' system so that weary travellers can wait on the many sofas in the reception area instead of waiting in line. Almost everyone arriving has travelled for many hours and doesn't need the hour-plus wait standing up. And get someone to refill that welcome tea and coffee instead of having a bubbling urn of hot water and nothing else. Very disappointed this time.

We have had a partial refund but despite emails advising we aren’t happy we have had no reply, they are literally just ignoring us!!! The property was dated and uncomfortable too and wasn’t cheap. Would never use this company again
Extremely disappointed
We have been coming to Ste Foy for the last decade and this is the worst place we have stayed. Reception only open restricted hours. You must leave the kitchen cleaned or you will be charged. You must complete the inventory or you will be charged. You must remove all your rubbish and recycling or you will be charged. You must store your ski boots and skis in the lockers that are 3 floors away from your room or you will be charged. The wifi did not work in multiple apartments throughout the hotel including ours. No batteries in the TV controller. Pool was FREEZING and so not suitable for kids. The kitchen only has a microwave not an oven. There is no kitchen counter to prepare any food anyway.
Running machine in the gym is so old that you can only walk on it, as the belt fails to turn smoothly at higher speeds.
Will be back in Ste Foy, but definitely not staying here.
Mouse or rat in our room
Stayed last week of March 2022 and whilst we really wanted to like this place, there were so many issues. The common areas were nice but the room itself was not very clean and had a number of items broken or missing - lights didnt work, balcony and furniture covered in bird droppings. The biggest issue was that there was a mouse in our room which kept us awake every night. On the first night it ran over my wife's leg whilst we were in bed. I told reception and they sent someone in with mousetraps. No offer to move us. On the second night, it ran round and round the room, up the curtains, along the coving. Same thing third and fourth nights. After 4 sleepless nights we had had enough and left early. I have attached a picture of the balcony - covered in bird droppings. The staff were nice but the quality outside the common areas is very low.
Where is my Refund?!?!?
What is going on, I have been waiting 18months for a credit note to expire at which point I was informed I would receive a refund. I am now 6 weeks later and still no refund. I have given them everything requested to reimburse me. My last to chase emails have now been ignored. Please give me my money back!!
Great apartment - not so great spa area
The location is great, the apartment very spacious, ski locker clean and spaceous, parking garage superb and very close to the apartment. The fitness room has many different machines. The people at the receptio are welcoming and friendly.
The swimming pool is very crowded with kids jumping from the side or playing ball all the time. The sauna is a revolving door and the jaccuzzi and hamam are filled with youngsters all the time despite the enrance age formally being 16 years old. Relaxation is impossible.

Very nice venue, sympathetic personel. They allowed us to leave the car in the parking lot and use the premisses to change ourselves the last day after checkout in order to ski a little bit more.
Pleasant Stay
Great apartment with plenty of space, good ski locker, pool and spa. I took off 1 star due to cleaning which could be improved.

we stayed one week in a very nice Savoyen residence, surrounded by a winter tale village. Apartment was cosy, clean and well equipped, personal always helpful. Fitness area could be a bit more thought through (treadmill was missing, weights were not paired). Spa was beyond expectations.
Some improvements needed
The apartment was OK, but we found some hair (not ours) in the bathrooms and in one of the beds...
The Velux curtain in one bedroom was defect. We reported this at the reception and they promised someone would come to fix this, but nobody was seen.
The heating system in the ski locker to dry the ski boots did not work. This was also reported at the reception but not fixed during our stay.
Excellent stay
Excellent stay, clean and cosy appartments. Reallifesoap Nice wellness, however the pool was a bit chilly this Year. We Will definitely come back!

Great location with ski in/ski out, and bust stop right below the hotel. Nice and clean apartments with a handy arrival cleaning kit. Nice spa area and helpful staff.
