Absolutely avoid this company

As with many warranty companies, Centurion will use any excuse and literally do ANYTHING to avoid paying out on a claim or to reduce the amount paid to the repairer. They extend payment timescales to suit themselves and not the consumer. in a final twist, before paying me, they have apparently gone into administration. Avoid this company and if the directors setup again, avoid them also.

Terrible company that doesn’t pay out…

Terrible company that doesn’t pay out when promised. Had my claim accepted, supplied all receipts and was given a payment date. 3 weeks later and nothing, they’re even ignoring my emails now! Shocking company, avoid at all costs!

Solenoids are broken

Solenoids are broken, but been told there not covered on our policy even though we paid extra, according to the small print it’s not included as it’s bolted on the the Engine and not contained inside, these solenoids release oil around the engine if they wasn’t there it would be more dangerous for the car, but if it was an alternator that’s covered even though that’s attached on to the engine as well. My husband is not happy as we have been ripped off after paying £500 being told by the motor company that the policy covered everything. How this solenoid is not covered is beyond us as we’ve been to other garages and asked the same question and they all said the same thing.
I wish I’d read these reviews first and just had the 12 month free, because which ever way you have to pay.

What a amazing experience

What a amazing experience, never expected from a warranty company. I had Alternator failure on my Qashqai. Got in touch with Centurion. Asked me go to any VAT registered garage. I been to a nearby garage and diagnosed the fault by garage and the garage sent the paperwork back to centurion. Centurion responded within few minutes with the approved amount.
Great Centurion!! and Matthew keep it up!!

The warranty provided by centurion…

The warranty provided by centurion warranties is absolutely useless. My vehicle needs a new engine and they have told me the maximum that they will pay is £500 including VAT. They have even said that this amount is not guaranteed. The team member that I spoke to was condescending and did not want to help at all. If you are unfortunate enough to have a warranty provided by this company make sure that you read the SMALL PRINT

Following a response from Centurion Warranty, I stand by everything in my review, this is the second highest level they provide they have told me, if this is not the lowest form of cover I dread to think what that would cover.
£500 TOWARDS A NEW ENGINE THAT COSTS £6000 before fitting.

I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THIS WAS AN EXCELLENT WARRANTY.

THAT VIEW IS NOT SHARED BY THE GARAGE DEALING WITH THE CAR AT THE MOMENT.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPANY.

We are very sorry to read the content of your recent review.

Your warranty was provided to you by the motor dealer whom you purchased your vehicle from free of charge. It is simply adminstered by Centurion.

Upgrade options would have been available whereby a higher claim limit could have been applied. However, it would appear you chose not to pay any extra money to gain access to this.

Your warranty started in November 2022 lasting for 12 months having a maximum claim limit per occasion of £500 inc VAT. Although it has now expired, your claim is still open (for 3 months from the time of it being registered) as a fault was reported to us prior to expiration.

Our welcome email was sent to you on Saturday 26th November 2022 which outlined the information of what cover you had. A schedule of cover and warranty agreement would also have been issued to you at the time of handover. Our email would also have had a link for you to access your warranty schedule. We therefore assume that you would have read the documentation and were aware of the level of cover in place. Had you had concerns about the claim limit, you could have either spoken to us or the supplying motor dealer at the time – you had not raised any concerns until you approached us with a potential claim.

Contrary to your statement, the customer service advisor you spoke to was not rude or unhelpful, in fact the call records you swearing at them prior to hanging up the phone.

We are sorry that you feel aggrieved but bearing in mind the level of cover in place and you choosing not to take any higher level of cover out – we are simply providing you with the service that was put in place.

Your claim is still open and should you decide to proceed with it, we will happily do our best to assist up to the claim limit in place.

Kind regards

CW

Excellent reaction To complaints

Last weeki I posted a negative statement I about my experience after my car broke down and I needed help claiming on my warranty
Lots of things went wrong with the claim. Details of my problems filtered back tjo management at centurion and I was contacted by them by phone
The result was that my claim was settled,in full and in 24 hours the money was back in my bank. After my conversation with Kieran I was convinced that centurion places great deal of importance on customer service and satisfaction This incident was an unfortunate glitch in the system These things happen but I’m glad to say that the company pulled out all stops to resolve it. I have 23 months left on my warranty and should I need their assistance I am confident that I , and any other client will receive top class service.
Thank you centurion
